You clean using the same old good methods I grew up on as a farm child. Gentle, effective and thorough. PS. Verdigris is pronounced “vurr-di-greee” - s is silent. You are one of my favorite collectors!
Thank you for this vid! I hate verdigris, and I pass on pieces that have it because I don’t want any spread on any other of my jewelry! Excited to try your methods that obviously seem to work in future.
These are ways to the jewerly cleaner came out. We also used dish soap and an old toothbrush remember an aunt of mine used on her jewerly, that is, before
If they have semi precious stones or pearls then I would highly recommend having them professionally cleaned by a jeweler. Profesional cleaning isn’t as expensive as you would think. I would call around and get a few estimates. Hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️
Hi GirlJayme have you considered having it professionally cleaned? Most jewelers will provide cleaning for a small service, especially if it’s done in precious metals.
Your correct Shannon. I didn’t clean it during the content. Many of my subscribers do not like for my content to run too long so I skipped that pieces but it’s the same method to clean that piece. Thank you for watching 😊❤️❤️❤️

Thank you!! ❤😊
❤️❤️❤️❤️ you can also try a dish washer tab disolved in a gallon of warm water. It’s not as harsh. 😊
Great tips ❤️ I’m impatient and use my dishwasher tab method for many pieces. 🤣( nothing under 4 on the MOHs scale)
Love your whole process in detail.
Thank you Dana. I’ve never heard of the dishwasher method.❤️❤️❤️

Would this work on a filigree necklace that I have? I don't believe filigree is real sterling silver. Thank you.
Yes I’ve used it on costume filigree 🙂❤️❤️
@@VintageVariety thank you
Do u rinse off the vinegar water?
Yes😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have about 2 to 3 lbs of nice costume jewelry and I am afraid to clean the pieces.
Some have semi precious stones and pearls.
Any advice?

Do you have any experience with ultrasonic cleaner?
Hi Aimee, I’m not a fan of the ultrasonic cleaner. It works okay on fine jewelry but not so much for costume. 😊❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing

You didn’t clean the silver looking bracelet at the bottom of the screen. I have that one. It was my grandmother’s.

You sound awfully Southern or am I wrong? I am in AL.
Yes I am southern. I was born and grew up the foothills of the Appalachian in Georgia 😊
Really useful. Thank you
Pro tip: it’s actually pronounced ver-de-gree 😊
❤️
That old glue looks horrible but the earrings look much better! You might could carefully pick that off with some dental tools.
❤️❤️❤️
You do not pronounce the s in Verdigris
Thank you!❤️
Putting stranded beads in tomato sauce is a BAD idea. You can see how the sauce has discolored the cord that the beads are strung on.
❤️
Verdigris is french and pronounced Verdi gree
❤️❤️❤️
It’s pronounced Verdegree, not verdigris it’s French word.
😊 thank you
