    I don't know if it's still available, but I loved cleaning my jewelry with Ultra Joy. It might have a bit of ammonia in it. It makes hardy jewelry pieces sparkle like new money. I also love the jewelry cleaning papers made by Connoisseur. They do an amazing job on silver.

    One thing I do with flaky faux pearls is paint a little Dishwasher safe Mod Podge on them. I don’t know if it is harmful, but it does give them a waterproof seal and prevents more flaking. It also glues down loose flakes where they belong. I do disclose this when I sell.

      That's very interesting. I've never heard of Mod Podge but will look into that. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!

    Great information! I just acquired a 1961 Monet gold tone bolero necklace. Do you know how I can clean it without losing the gold tone on it? Thanks.

      I would try to gently wipe it with a barely wet cloth. That's the safest bet I think. THANKS for watching and good luck!

    I have a few pieces that have verdigris on them. I will carefully use vinegar to clean them. Thank you Sandra.

      I would suggest packing your items without sealing them and then weighing. When you're listing your item there is a field on eBay to put the weight and measurements of the box. That way your buyers will get the correct shipping cost for the item automatically and you don't have to worry about calculating it yourself. Hope this helps! Hugs.

    How do you store your amber pieces??

    • @TheFunkyPickleThrifter
      @TheFunkyPickleThrifter  2 года назад +3

      Hey Sylvia, amber, pearls, opals, etc. should be stored in velvet pouches or something like it to avoid them rubbing up against other jewelry and scratching it. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

    How would you turn my blackened vintage Goldette bracelet back to gold fake. Is it a lost hope once it’s turned black?

    • @TheFunkyPickleThrifter
      @TheFunkyPickleThrifter  10 месяцев назад

      It may not be fixable if the gold tone has rubbed away. Perhaps try wiping gently with a barely damp cloth? It may just be grime. Good luck!
