What's it like as a Bus driver during Half Term?

Welcome back to the channel, So What's it like as a Bus driver during half term?
Time for a Friday video, Filmed on the 31st may, were has may gone. We contacted by the allocator asking if we would come in and do an earlier shift on #friday.
So How is bus driving on a #friday during half term is better or worse than normal ? Our normal service is very busy with the roads and passenger numbers when the school are in, as the #464 pass four high school and a couple of primary school which give us an increase in passengers and traffic is little bit selfish but today we are working during Half term.
Well half term is kinda different as many of the 1st trips are much more quieter and we reach timing points with plenty of spare time as the roads are less busy, passengers do dip ever so slightly in the morning with less people traveling but this does change towards the middle of the day as we have the school/college children starting to make the way out for the day.
Overall the Holiday's are kinda a blessing as the roads have less traffic, on that note if you can travel by bus or walk to school you should it helps reduced the impact on the planet.

I wish Stagecoach used ticketed machines because they are way simpler and can calculate the change for you

We have one college service but we have legacy Services built into normal services. So for example we have I think a 6/7 that diverts to a school and starts at school were normal would start at bus station and then we have a 22 that twice a day goes pass a school for the kids. We did have more but the company has lost them

how does the departing in ... blind work?

So our ticketer machine has gps and it knows what time we should be our timing point. So once we reach that point it automatically changes the blind

You can also override it as the button on it is called count down. I can do a video on it if you'd like
