  • Tear down and rebuild of samurai axles shafts, bearings, and seals. This was my first axle rebuild its pretty straight forward, hardest part that didn't get filmed was removing and replacing the bearing races, they can be removed with a punch/chisel and a hammer. I reinstalled them by grinding the old race down for a loose fit and used it to hammer the new ones in.
torque specs- king pin bolts -21.5 ft-lbs, inner spindle nut 87.5 ft-lbs loosen and retorque to 10.5 ft-lbs, outer spindle nut 65 ft-lbs, locking hub 21.5 ft-lbs, hub cover 8.5 ft-lbs, oil retaining ring 8.5 ft-lbs, lug nuts 37-57 ft-lbs

I miss my 88.5 tin top. First thing i did was order a sammy shop manual and rebuilt the front end did breaks u joints callmini lift and 31s. Always wanted too regear and lock it up but sold it after 3 years. Need too find another one for wify. Hows the coil front sys working? Any issuses with sidehill and body roll? Nice build.

The body roll isn't horrible. It definitely looks worse than it feels from inside. The coils are great, insane travel, 8 inch lift may have been a little big.

Do you have to install a toyota transfer case to run toyota axles? I can't seem to find a straight answer

I am not sure, I wouldn't think so. It would depend if the differential was on the correct side. Custom drivelines would most likely be needed

I think it would be a pretty good option, fairly light and narrow. Running 12 inch wide tires and one inch spacers, it's only 68" wide

It has a coil conversion kit from rocky road outfitters, as far as I know. it's an 8 inch lift. The kit was already installed when I purchased the Samurai
