Out of all the video's on this topic yours is the best and only one that illustrates exactly how to remove the wiring . Very good job!
One thing not mentioned, except for a small paragraph in the manual, is with the Sky roof, you CAN NOT drop the windshield, by removing the 4 bolts. It risks damaging the front seal of the roof. The top itself would need to be lifted off to do that, and it is a much bigger (and heavier / inconvenient) job.
I don't normally like red on cars but DAMN that is NICE!

The one touch sky roof is definitely a better option if you're doing it alone or live an an apartment complex as I do, but takes away from the cleaner and classic look of the 3 piece top
Skytouch is really useless. 4k, bound to break and you still won't have an open air feel. Soft top or dual top pack. I have both and never use my hardtop. I personally wouldn't even consider a jeep if I couldn't take everything off

@@Juan_E_Dewitt Hoist is the easiest way to get the hardtop off. I bought a dolly that was built for the hardtop. You need 2 people but it sits glass down and it has wheels so you can move it around.

@@johnk6534 you can remove the SOT, and it's VERY easy, almost easier than the regular 4 door hard top, and easier to store too
Put a little blue tape between the bolt and the socket. I would hate for you to scratch the paint on my new Jeep.

No you made the right choice! Sky touch is a waste of 4k. It's not the same as completely removing the top at all.
Great video...but after all that removing Id be too lazy to put it back together...Jeep gotta come up with some easy clamp/clip-only systems for doors

I took my doors off this past week and the hardest part was finding somewhere to store them to keep them from getting messed up.

In order to remain in compliance with state laws, you must re-attach your mirrors. All states require that a vehicle have a certain number of mirrors in order for the driver to see around and behind their car.

They cannot be installed on any wrangler. The body type is different with these
Notice how the back window is still on, with your hard top, the whole back comes off.
I don’t think these Jeeps are designed for you to take off by yourself, if possible find a man around the house to help you, you don’t wanna damage the doors or windows. 👍🏻

Purchasing a battery power ratchet is worth every penny when it comes to Jeep JL doors and hard top removal.
Sweet truck but really sucks that you don't have no mirrors to use while you driving.

Now impress us and remove the rear window and one touch roof...it can be done successfully and believe it or not a lot of owners would like to learn how.
Jeep explicitly states that owners should NOT remove the SkyTouch top.

Taking mine through pinyon mountain trail which will definitely damage the hard top. So off it coms...I voided the warranty of my 2019 JL a month into owning it. 😜

You can remove the top, i have. It’s like 8 bolts on the sides and 4 on rear window
@@joeboo2471 Voiding the warranty is one of those big flaws Jeep has. You do any alterations outside of an overpriced dealership install , your warranty vanishes. Jeeps are sold because of the plethora of aftermarket upgrades. They want you to alter it so they are no longer responsible for anything.

No issues in car wash only touchless, only issue I have here in Canada is during the winter when I leave it outside , ice build up is a pain

today I decided to remove my side windows following the instructions in the video and photos of the brand and there is an error !! First the passenger side window is saved and then the driver side window... I don't know how Nobody has noticed and they keep explaining it wrong
I was going to ask is he saving all doors and windows in his trunk. I got confused. Or is it just the front driver and passenger door, but not the back driver side/passenger side doors and then the windows?

You’d have to get the half door version with zipper windows. I work at a Jeep dealer I’ve seen a few. The doors and windows split in half you can pull the windows and have half doors which are pretty cool or take them out all together. Ford on the other hand you can pull the doors and put them in the trunk their doors are frameless. The only issue with frameless doors is the windows are what seal the door to the body and over time they kinda sag. Another issue at the moment with the Bronco is time. Some people are still waiting over a year to buy one. As a Jeep owner I leave the doors at home I’d rather have space to put stuff in the cargo area. I do leave my Jeep doorless for long periods of time and if you have a garage you can leave it off all summer. I leave the soft top on to protect me from sunlight basically. I also live in New England it rains with out warning and to be honest it doesn’t really get too wet inside if your soft top is on with no windows or doors.

It's not the same at all. This top is useless and 4k. Soft top is where it's at. Once you drive a wrangler with the tip completely off you won't even consider this top.

The soft top peels back in seconds. This option is only good 4 people who live in cities and can't store a top or leave a soft top in the street cause eventually someone will break in. I personally wont even consider a wrangler if I couldn't take everything off

Some models it does. This particular one was the power roof that just goes back like a sun roof.
