Rush were massive Zeppelin fan. Alex confirmed Page as his biggest influence as a guitar player and Geddy many times said that he loved Plant and JPJ and they are big influence on him. By the way they saw Zeppelin on their first tour of Zep 1 album in Toronto in 1969, how cool is that!!

ROCK STAR GODS! Best band EVER...when they did a tribute concert back in 2007, after not being together since 1980 when their beloved drummer bandmate died, John Bonham (voted over and over as the best drummer of all time, in the world) they set a world record for ticket sales and requests, like 20 MILLION TICKET REQUESTS IN 2 HOURS. These 4 musicians are beyond loved worldwide. Every member as talented as the next and they had amazing chemistry too. JIMMY PAGE = GOAT!

Led Zeppelin = rock gods. They formed in 1968. Jimmy Page - lead guitar. John Paul Jones - keyboards and bass guitar. John Bonham - drums. Robert Plant - vocals. Bonham was an alcoholic who OD-ed on alcohol in 1980. The other members were devastated and never toured again. They did a few gigs, but the chemistry was not there. They were incredibly good, alas for us.

I hope you do a lot more Led Zeppelin, any song you pick is amazing. The majority will be your favorite, especially while listening, until you listen to the next then that one is. There might be a couple that aren’t in your top picks, but they certainly don’t suck by any means. I love songs from so many classic bands, but they have only a few great songs, unlike the greatest band ever LZ. I love the reactions, & watching new people become Lead Heads too, enjoy the ride. This really isn’t the best version, it sounds like plant has a cold. This band got together in 1968, they were magic from the beginning. They had to finish some tour dates that Jimmy Page lead guitarist, had to fulfill from his previous band. In about 4 months they recorded their first album, it was recorded produced & edited by Page in about 36 hours. It was released in January 1969, & it rocked the world, it’s an amazing first album. The second one came out in October of 1979, it also rocked the world.

Greetings from across the lake (St. Catharines). Dude, Led Zeppelin came out 20 years before Nirvana and Guns 'n Roses, and 5 years before Rush. The reason they all sound like the same genre is because they all tried to sound like Led Zeppelin. That being said, it goes both ways; Listen to Lakeside Park by Rush (1975) then Carouselambra by Zeppelin (1979). The middle part of Carouselambra borrows heavily from the ending of Lakeside Park. and yeah, the actual Lakeside Park in St. Catharines has a historic carousel as well as the Neil Peart Pavilion.

Robert Plant lead singer. Jimmy Page guitar. John Paul Jones Keyboard and bass. John Bonham drums.Sadly John Bonham passed away in 1981 in his sleep due to alcohol. Zeppelin didn't continue as a band. They got together for the celebration night with Jason Bonham on drums. He plays just like his Dad. You should check out whole Lotta love from MSG 1973. And Kashmir from the celebration night live. Also Heart does a rendition of Stairway to Heaven live at a tribute to Zeppelin at the Kennedy center honors. Epic and Jason Bonham on the drums which is a treat❤

Rush was later. But, Rush was an iconic band. So excellent. Look up their videos. Fun to watch.
Most of the people who know Zeppelin and were teens or so at the time probably know bands from the 60s thru the 90s and we can clue you in to any of your questions on the videos. Artists. Songs. Ect. and who is worth your time.
Jimmy is so amazing to watch. watching his fingers go. up and down the fretboard is amazing. He is a guitar god.
If you want to know if they are still doing music: RUclips Jimmy Page, 2024 Rock n Roll hall of fame. He is playing the double neck for an artist that influenced him as a kid who was inducted this year. At 80, Jimmy still got it.
Robert is singing folk with a lady named Allison Kruse. He had a long solo career, teamed with Jimmy in the 90s for some concerts, Robert has been active all the time. He is now 75.
John Paul Jones is still active and a renowned producer.
You need to do Kashmir 1979

I will always be here for Zeppelin. That is Jimmy Page on the guitar, John Paul Jones on flute, synth bass and basically anything else that isn't sung, guitar or drums. John Bonham is on the guitar. He died in a race car accident, and that is when the band split. The only one to ever replace him was his son Jason at an early 2000s reunion which sold out within hours even though the cheapest ticket was short of £300 and it was an arena. The singer is Robert Plant. He still breathes music and tours with whatever he likes to do. The are a late 1960s formation that went on into the early 1980s, starting as a blues rock band with influences from Robert Johnson to Elvis, whom they met. They are the original hardrock band and the members of the first roots of heavy metal, with the likes of Black Sabbath, Hendrix, etc. Plant is folky, and page is blues rock, and you hear the influences beautifully in Zeppelin I, their first album, and then all the way through. Just compare Gallow's Pole, I can't quit you baby, with the later Dazed and confused. I dare you to check out the 20 minute live version of Dazed and Confused from the 'The Song Remains the Same' concert movie!

Ok, where to start. The double neck guitar has a 12 string on the top, used for strumming. Bottom is 6 string used for solos and picking. You mentioned Rush? Geddy Lee said he saw Zeps 2nd tour while he was in high school. Metallica? Zep are old enough to be their daddy. Guns and Roses the same..also, and very important! Never! Ever!
