@Hey Duggee wait. You used soda bicarbonate? This is different than baking powder which is soda bicarbonate + starch + an acid. Baking powder (as stated in the recipe) is different than baking soda (soda bicarbonate.
Cassava is better than every grain (product)!! My father's been eating cassava for 105 yrs, and he's still alive and strong. I've been eating cassava since infancy, and I'm healthier than ever! Thanks for your informative video, subscribed!
I'm glad this recipe was helpful! I love the texture of cassava in baked goods. I'll keep it in mind for future recipe development. Thanks for watching and subs!
Thank you so much, my bag of flour just came from Amazon. I can't wait to make the pancakes. But I will make mini waffles and use them as a substitute for bread and use for sandwiches.
@@bethsabath yes, and YOUR job is to click on the link to the recipe "ingredients" that I put below every single video and pin to the top. I cannot do the work for you.
I have a blog post covering all the ins-and-outs on using cassava flour in pancakes and how to fix the batter that might be helpful to read: www.laurafuentes.com/paleo-cassava-flour-pancakes/ the short answer is that not all brands of cassava flour are the same so a little additional liquid might be needed to be added once you've incorporated the flour and the egg replacer.
Cassava is the whole root peel an all made into flour. Tapioca is the root minus the peel. Just the white part of the root. Hope this helps. Also, Yucca or cassava accumulates its lectins in the peel. So if you are on a lectin free diet you must consider this difference.
Unfortunately, no. You need eggs in this recipe. Here is a post on substitutes you can use for pancakes: www.laurafuentes.com/pancakes-without-eggs/ -I hope it helps!
hi i just wanted to saythat i tried your recipe but sadly my mix didn't thicken up and it came out too salty rather than a plain taste and just to mention i did use the exact same tapioca starch flour that you did because it was something that i already had but i just wanna know what i did wrong
Hi, I am sorry your batter didn't turn out for you. These pancakes do not use tapioca starch, they use cassava flour (it's a milder/neutral-flavored starch).
I like this recipe and wanted to look into but it was asking so many things like e mail etc. This could allow viewers to not go ahead with it and as a result you may not get many subscribers my dear. It should take to the written recipe easily.
You don't have to enter your email at all. After you click on the recipe link, there's a button at the top of the page that says "jump to recipe" and there it is. sometimes a pop-up shows up, you can click the X on the top right and the recipe is FREE - just like the videos on this channel, dear.

@Hey Duggee did you combine the baking powder thoroughly? Also, flavor might vary by brand of cassava flour too.

My batter was super thick and does not look anything like this. Any tips? I followed exact recipe and used bobs red mill egg replacer for the eggs.

Hi, is there a difference between cassava and tapioca? Thanks.

Is Baking powder Aip compliant?
If it’s corn free, yes.
I wonder if I could use this base recipe for a cobbler? I’m finding it hard to find a recipe for cobbler using cassava flour 😞
I have never tried but this recipe does not make crusts.
Full recipe with measurements please

Nice extra tips, . . .but there was no ingredient measurement list, how can I make the pancakes?
The ingredient measurements are always in the description, here you go: bit.ly/CassavaPancakes
MMMMmmMM THESE LOOK SO GOOD btw I’m cooking them on the pan while I’m typing this comment lol
Enjoy!
My granddaughter and I made the recipe. Ours come out too liquid, we have to double the flour but We don’t understand why. We did follow the recipe 😬
This is a problem with the type/brand of cassava flour. In the description you will see a link to a post where I explain this.
Hi! I Just used 1cup and 1/4 cup and it works great. I waited 5m and made it. They came out wonderful
Can it be make without egg?

Try chia seed egg replacer
Why list the ingredients elsewhere? I clicked the link and couldnt access the measurements as it was asking for my details

What about sugar?
You can add about a tablespoon to this recipe
This made me hungry but also curious as if these could also be used for hamburger buns, sandwich's etc.?
I have not tried to make buns with this recipe but i guess you could use two pancakes and make a pancake sandwich.

Same here I endep up adding some almond flour to thicken it.. and used just a pinch of salt
@@jesslineth you answered my question. I was just thinking if it could be mixed with almond flour for a firmer texture
Mine came out gummy. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?
What brand Cassava flour did you use?
where ie the measurements ??????

Nothing but starch when starch is so bad. Huge glycemic load.
