- There is so much to this gun that I like. But can a fusion gun actually work?

I started to order mine then I saw at Shot show the new grips and now they have a 45 ACP version and Bull barrel. I am waiting till mid-late Feb to order it now.
I’ve got 2, the commander and government and love them both!
What did you shoot before you had them? Is it worth getting?
@@wheresthej03 I’ve carried one form or another of a 1911 since I was probably 14y/o and I’m 48 now. I let the capacity argument get to me in 2017 and started carrying a Glock🤢 but within 5 months I switched to a Taurus G3 torro and it was “ok” but to be honest I thank God and baby Jesus every night for SA coming out with the platypus! It’s easily one of the best pews I’ve ever had the pleasure of handling. Over 5k rounds through them both now without a single issue due to them, (couple of bad rounds here and there) I highly recommend them and I’m going to get one in .45 and 10mm as soon as I can😂 I love them and will not trust mine or my families lives with anything else.
@@TattooBlue602 i have a colt commander .45 acp, from my dad and love that pistol...its what i started shooting on. Have a glock 19x which i will not get rid of and an fn 509 which i cant get rid of either. Have a glock 19 gen5 for my wife when she decides she wants to shoot. Really considering saving up and getting the platybus because the glock mag...if the world ever went to shit theres tons of glock mags out there and they would fit right in. Do you think these pistols shoot like the old 1911's like the colt commander? Glock has this wierd thing where you have to hold it a certain way and its way different then any of the pistols i own; even the fn 509 which i can hit center past 21 feet with a red dot.
Got about 400 rounds through mine.fantastic.was 16 week wait when I ordered mine, got it in 6,7 weeks instead. Can't say enough good things about this gun.
Ordered 4.16.23..... still waiting on mine.... order tracker is apprently NOT accurate because i called to see what was going on (when i ordered, lead time was 10-12 weeks, its closing on 16 now) and apparently my gun hasnt even been painted yet, even though the tracker shows "assembled" and two steps from it being on its way.
I've gotten the run around in emails too.
Just a heads up for anyone on the fence- this was ordered in time to be a Father's Day gift.... obviously, that has gone out the window. Maybe it will show up in time for next year 🙄
Im loving mines
wait you ordered yours April of this year and got it already?
I just ordered mine today! Waiting..
How long did it take for you to get your Platypus?
@@DadofThunder about 18wks. Love it!!
@@DadofThunder it's prob longer now. More ppl are ordering.
nice review !!! what is price point for your Platypus??
The price will change in real time as you make your build on the website.
?????…u can’t talk about it without a price point
@spurgeondotson4998 the base model start at about $1,400
How much was your order of this gun?!?
Man, I sure do hope this gets added to the California roster I don’t see why it wouldn’t be able to be added. They are no longer requiring the micro stamping this should be doable!! Come on stealth arms!!!!!!!!
Hit up 2Azone, they can get you one.
Usually, the entire frame being cut from "one chunk of aluminum" is considered a luxury. Working on trying to get the lead times down.
Oh dear lord whatever that camera angle that seems on top of the weapon, GET RID OF THAT. I’m sure you thought it was cutting edge innovative but it’s actually just vomit inducing aside from that, excellent review
I've noticed a lot of my gimbal style cameras do this when next to loud noise, like the concussion messes up the stability and then it slowly tries to recenter...or it's a slide mounted camera...
