Oracle Arms 2311 First Impressions

- When this handgun was announced at Shot Show I was immediately interested and found it very intriguing. I noticed as time went on there very little information being published, but I couldn't help but think "I need one." I ordered it as soon as I could and figured I could provide a little more information for those as interested as I was. Hopefully this is useful as I plan on providing periodic updates and maybe a full review of this handgun in the future.

Maaaaaaan, thank you for this! It’s been on my radar since I decided to start buying hammer fired pistols! Not many people are doing videos on them and I haven’t found a range that rents them. I also rent before I buy..... my only hang up is the rear sight not being there post red dot... definitely on the fence with pulling the trigger (pun intended) because of that. Great video and thank you again. Just sub’d. If I get one I’ll drop a video and reference this one
I also had to use a gunsmithing mallet to remove my iron sight plate. I have not experiencing any of the hangups with the magazine.

Great video Will! I too have an OA2311 Full size and I had a similar issue with the mags. In my case, because the trigger bow wraps around the mag when the mag is inserted into the grip, the trigger would bind up sometimes to the point where I could press the trigger. The guys over at Oracle arms corrected that for me & I have not had an issue since.
Sounds like you're just beta testing and helping Oracle arms work the kinks out of the final design.
Your mag release likely isn’t fit/contoured properly. My Fowler was the same way.

Seems like you should send it back and get it squared away. I am interested in getting one as well but after viewing this I think I will wait!

Mines been on order for months now. And you said you just picked this up at your local gun store? Just sitting in the display case? Did you pre order the pistol?
I pre-ordered mine as soon as their website started taking orders. Mid July I believe.
