    Great tips! Congratulations! In my case, I m unemployed so I have time to practice the differents methods, now, for example to improve my speaking:
    *Shadowing with subtitles 30 minutes
    * reading aloud 30 minutes
    Shadowing without subtitles 30 minutes
    * free speaking, 30 minutes speaking what I thinking....don't think about grammar, structure, just speaking by 30 minutes....the better when you choose a interest topic for you.

My listening materials include vocabulary, idoms, conversations, articles, stories, songs, films, news, speeches, TV shows, and even TV commercials. For we ESL learners, it is necessary to listen to a variety of things and accents. Diversity should be an essential part of your study plan.

    Listening to a language is the first step to acquire it, there is no either way. that's what i call the natural approach but when conscious listening takes place you have to take initiatives that's why i really appreciated your TIPS. So Learners should take their own responsibilities in the learning process instead of relying on the teacher as if the teacher is the Only solution...The best solution remains the learner's commitment and intrinsic motivation...

    Thanks a lot for your very informative lesson. To widen a variety of English material in addition to text books and news, I started to study using my favorite video game(Call of Duty). It contains a lot of cinematic scenes and even some non-native English speakers like Russian and German. I always pick up and refer to their transcripts from a Web site someone CoD fan built. Most important thing is that I can enjoy and improve my English skills at the same time.

    Nice video and very helpful. I think that two other things are also good. 1) Listen again to things you listened. If you listened to something one month ago, you can hear it again. 2) If you understand some words or phrases or sentences, you could try to imitate the sounds you hear. You might recognise some words you knew and you thought you did not manage to hear.

    For the last few months I've been listening to stiries and reading them at the same time. It gives a great result.
    And thank you for your pronunciation - it's great and easy to understand. Thanks.

    Thank you for sharing this video. It is very helpful for me. I am from China, maybe you know in China all of the students have been studying English since they're 3 years old, but unfortunately, a lot of students still can't speak/writing and listening. students and teacher waste a lot of time on grammar and exam. I really hope the native English teaher can go to china to teach English like this video did.
