Of course, all the difficulties faced by those who learn the language have been analyzed, and all of them are real. Thank you for your efforts and your beautiful and convincing style.
14:31 It's very true because I remember the first time that I found your podcast and I said to myself: No way I listening to this podcast because the narrator speaks very fast. But, as you said, if you find someone that challenge your listen skills, so the more you hear that person the more you progress in your listen skill and easy become to hear that person. And now here I am, able to hear you 95% without [CC]. nowadays I'm working hard to hear the channel techquickie.
Very good tips! If I may, these are two excellent tips that have helped my students the most: 1. (A "project", by the end of which you will definitely feel you've made a great progress): Pick a movie you haven't seen. Get familiarized with the plot (read it in Wikipedia). Download the script (simply type the name of the movie + script/transcript). Read the script and make sure you understand it (translate new words and sentences that are grammatically unfamiliar to you). Now watch the film without subtitles and enjoy yourself! 2. Relax your brain: the more stressed you are that you might miss words, the more busy your brain gets dealing with the impending anxiety. The stress may be small and perhaps subconscious, so you need to pro-actively relax your mind and "open your hearing". One way to accomplish that is by consciously acknowledging that state you're in when you listen to something in your first language (your native tongue). Then try to replicate that state and reproduce it while listening to something in English.
You’re a great teacher you explained everything step by step and I’m sure everyone’s listening to this video will understand everything you said thanks 🙏
I understand native speakers really well. I've been listening to to English for 50 years. Now understand 100% of every audio or vídeo that I Listen to or watch. I practice with with subtitles or without them. Unfortunately I don't have anyone who I can talk to on a daily bases. I'll be moving to a famous city in the state of Bahia which is visiteb by English speaking tourists. I hope I find at a job at a hotel where those people stay.
Hadar: I would like to express in my mother tongue what I feel when I watch and listen to any of your video. Please, I wish god bless you, no matter english language is your second tongue, because your english language and the way how you teach, at least for me, you are the best.I am happy because I discovered you no more than 10 days ago, I am happy, I would so happy, that I am going to study english just with you. Thanks for giving me this opportunity and I pointed out above, YOU ARE THE BEST ENGLISH TEACHER I HAVE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.Thanks/Adolfo

I learning English from Spanish native path and let me say something --you are a great teacher , I like every video of your channel ,so ,,thanks so much !!
Hi Hadar, my name is Vincent from Burundi.Thank you for bringing such magnetic lessons that often embolden my ability of speaking. Your lessons make my speaking skills a little bit hyperbolic and i'm over the moon to see something coming along nicely. I never cease listening to you when defining things in details. You are one of kind and I do improve a lot of things whenever I watch the video that you posted. My sincere gratitude!
It´s nice to see your videos and how you teach us dealing with our daily English difficulties through our English learning process. I appreciate your clarity and honest explanations.
Great piece of advice! Thank you so much. You explain really well and you have the key of all these difficulties. You're so generous for sharing with passion.😊
Hi, Hadar. I have no major problem when having a conversation in English. And I can understand every single word that you or other coaches say, no matter how fast they speak. My problem is when I try to watch a movie without subtitles, or listen an interview. It's so frustrating because I feel that my level of comprehension goes down to 10 or 20 percent 🤦🏽♂️.
I am similar to you, I don't know what to do...When I watch movies I feel like they have come from another planet...so frustrated, disappointed and dejected...@haddar Please help us...
That's normal, coaches want to be understandable so they drop complexity. The same happens when you have a daily conversation with same people, both sides focus on communication, natives know you're not a native speaker and they don't correct you every time. I had that experience working with US workers for more than 5 years, I realized my vocabulary was limited when I started to travel and I couldn't communicate simple things, there I decided to start to study. I enrolled myself in an academy, I learned some vocabulary but I realized there was more focus on learning vocabulary than in speaking and practising. IMO, if you have an upper intermediate level or above, just try to push you out of your comfort zone, watch videos on YT about topics of your interest, podcasts. Then you can listen while you are doing other activities such as cooking, cleaning, studying, etc. This will increase your brain reaction as you are not focus on listening. Watch movies paying attention to expressions and pronunciation and try to not read the subtitles by a couple minutes. If you have the chance watch sports in English or any other TV programmes, the vocabulary in each one is also different. Hope it helps!
@@polcaltieri Thank you Pablo, I have been studying English for more than 3 years actively and spending 3 hours a day to English materials exposure. I listen to podcasts as much as I can.
