In terms of Wart being referenced some people believe; including myself, that he is in fact Prince Froggy, the boss you get swallowed up by and battle his tummy, from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. It's never been confirmed; but if true, than Wart; also as Prince Froggy and counting remakes, has appeared in at least 6 games. Pretty impressive actually!😊
Actually, Sparks first appeared in Donkey Kong Jr., and Wart did recently appear in a 2020 recruitment book by Nintendo where he’s on the phone with Princess Daisy.
A video I hope would be discussed was the other human characters Camelot made for the Mario Golf and Tennis series during the N64/GBC to the GCN/GBA era. There were characters that a few backstories and some of them grew up as well!
Maybe Wart is dream creature and can only exist in the dream ralm. After all his only 2 appearances are in games that are quite litteraly entirely whitin dreams. Mario 2 And Links Awakening The other enemies that dont reappear are mostly just animals or animal like. I mean i too can dream about a cool sunglasses Rat that throws bombs at me.
Also Mario 2 was just a dream. Perhaps the cartoons were the REAL events that occurred to make Mario dream such things. Just for some reason he dreamt of a Frog boss instead of Bowser. Go figure.😅
I think the Porcupo’s resemblance to Sonic is intentional, as Nintendo and Sega were kind of rivals at the time. A similar roast can be found in Donkey Kong Country, where Sonic’s shoes are seen next to a trash can labeled “No-Hopers”
I replayed Mario 2 recently, and I'll be honest, I kind of want a second take on that game's mechanics, I really enjoyed it and its a shame that style of game hasn't really been revisited since
Not only does the spark also show up in legend of Zelda. It’s relatives. The hot head shows up in super Mario world and smash Bros and the little Sparky shows up as the character watt from paper Mario
So while many people it to be the case, the events of Super Mario Bros. 2 USA is not simply just a dream. In the manual it is established that Mario first has a dream which takes him to a dream world called Subcon whose residents need his help defeating King Wart. The next day Mario tells his friends about the dream he had. Later on they eventually find a cave with stairs inside that lead to a door to Subcon. There is also a follow up game called BS Super Mario USA where Mario and friends return to subcon to deal with King Wart a 2nd time. It establishes this that Wart and his cronies are able to hop from dream to dream which is similar to what we see Bowser do in Mario Party 5. This very similar to what Bowser is doing in Mario Party 5 and even more interesting is there is mention of things like the Power Of The Stars. We also know from a Miiverse post for Captain Toad Treasure Tracker made by the producer that the Main Toad is the one that showed up in games like SMB2USA and Wario's Woods, thus Toad in the game is not one dreamt up by Mario which is back up by what I just mentioned. Also, the Shy Guys in Superstar Baseball are stated to be the same ones that used to work for King Wart.
Which is funny, because the Shy Guys' walking behaviors remind me more of Koopa Troopas, with one color turning around at edges and walking the other way, and the other color falling off, and, if they land on something, walking in the direction of the player character. Also, in the SNES remake of SMB2 on Super Mario All-Stars, the king of World 2 was transformed into a Hoopstar. While there are no enemy Ninjis in Paper Mario, one visits Merlon at one point, and several can be seen in Starborn Valley. Link's Awakening is no surprise, given how many enemies in that game come from the Mario series, as well as others. Like the Hoopstar and Albatoss, the Cobrat is another enemy that a king in SMB3 was turned into, in this case, the king of World 1.
I love Super Mario Bros 2. Super underrated game. Besides Mario Wonder, it's my favourite main series game. It also introduced Birdo, who is one of my favourite Mario characters.
I would have been cool if you had, at the end of the video, showed a tier list with all the characters, ordered by their appearances "Regular", "Regular and playable", "Just a few spin-offs", etc. to better compare them btw I love how you dropped a few jokes and carried on as if nothing had happened
3:11 This official Hoopster Art is wild. Most Cartoon Insects have too few limbs. (It took the Pokémon Series over two *decades* to introduce a Spider that actually has eight legs after all.) Yet Hoopster here is a Ladybug-adjacent being with four legs too much. 7:55 Umm, that's certainly an artwork. But save for the blossom it looks nothing like the enemy in-game. In all honesty: That looks like Digimon Fanart.
Mouser is in Yoshi's games! Except to be fair, instead of being a boss, mousers are instead average enemies in the Yoshi games. But I'm pretty sure they're meant to be the same species as Mouser the boss. They even have masks over their eyes just like Mouser.
I love your commitment to the Subcon 1988 graduating class bit! Good stuff, man! Also, where was tweeter’s cameo in the Mario movie? Where was this? How do I find it?
Just in case you didn't know, he was talking about the very first Mario bros. movie. That one was filmed in live action in 1990 or something, I don't know the exact date. It did really poorly, so no one really talks about it. I don't think the new, animated Mario Bros. movie has a reference to Tweeter.
I still can't believe that Marionika decided to kill Luiyori, Yureach, and Daisuki.
"Let's start with the Tweeter, who should probably be renamed X-er." No. No he should not.
If anything he should be a Skeeter.
I don't get it
Mouser was also in one of the concept arts for the 2023 mario movie
He was also in the coloring book like Trouder and triglyde

Mario 2
And
Links Awakening
The other enemies that dont reappear are mostly just animals or animal like.
I mean i too can dream about a cool sunglasses Rat that throws bombs at me.
porcupos also were in yoshi valley in mario kart 64
sparks actually debuted in donkey kong
Being a Wart fan can feel lonely sometimes 😔
It's weird how the Super Mario Bros. Super Show had a huge focus on this game when the rest of the games literally didn't at all
I've been told that it was most likely because Mario 2 had more to work with than Mario 1.
Also Mario 2 was just a dream. Perhaps the cartoons were the REAL events that occurred to make Mario dream such things. Just for some reason he dreamt of a Frog boss instead of Bowser. Go figure.😅
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show was made in 1989, so there were only 3 games released in the US at the time. SMB1, SMB2, and SML.
I like to think that Triclyde and the smaller snake got replaced by the Hisstocrats and their smaller snakes along the way.
The hedgehog appeared in Yoshi's Island as well!
I think the Porcupo’s resemblance to Sonic is intentional, as Nintendo and Sega were kind of rivals at the time. A similar roast can be found in Donkey Kong Country, where Sonic’s shoes are seen next to a trash can labeled “No-Hopers”
Super Mario Bros. 2 was originally released in 1988 for Japan. I don't think it was intentional
I replayed Mario 2 recently, and I'll be honest, I kind of want a second take on that game's mechanics, I really enjoyed it and its a shame that style of game hasn't really been revisited since
UFO 50, Mini and Max. There you go.
Super Mario Bros 2 USA is amazing, and people who say The Lost Levels is better clearly haven't played those two games recently.
Says tweeter is in the files, AND DOSENT SHOW IT.
00:22 - LMAO. You should have opened sooner with that one. Mario dreams of being Luigi.
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Not only does the spark also show up in legend of Zelda. It’s relatives. The hot head shows up in super Mario world and smash Bros and the little Sparky shows up as the character watt from paper Mario
i'll admit that i'm kinda obssesed with forgotten mario charaters, i remember researching day'n'night about these guys who never appeared again.

Man, I'll never forget the Tweeter, or as I remember him, DR. DONEZ!

I could have sworn the main bad guy in Super Mario Bros 2 is one of the first bosses in Superstar Saga. Perhaps I was mistaken.
03:30 they also appears as a king's cursed transformation
Sniffit is rendered as a 3D model in the hazy maze cave of super mario 64.
9:48 Mouser’s got at least one outside this game I can remember, Paper Mario TTYD! Idk if it’s in any other Paper game or otherwise though.
Mouser is in Yoshi's games! Except to be fair, instead of being a boss, mousers are instead average enemies in the Yoshi games. But I'm pretty sure they're meant to be the same species as Mouser the boss. They even have masks over their eyes just like Mouser.
I think cobrats also made a small appearance in the mario kart games in shy guy bazaar
First Comment! Great video, just the thing I want to find on my RUclips feed! Been looking forward to a Piantapedia video for a while now!
I want to see Triclyde and Gleeok. A shame all these multi-headed reptiles got canned.
I love your commitment to the Subcon 1988 graduating class bit! Good stuff, man!

@@smallstone1152 Oooohhhh. Okay, that makes way more sense. Thank you!
I miss General Guy
Not at all related to Mario Bros. 2, but what ever happened to Nokis?
it really bothered me that for a bunch of these you didn't bother showing us footage of their other appearances.
Perhaps the flurry enemy’s legacy continued with “Flurrie”, one of the partners from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
Ddlc non e dokidokipanic toisuki?
