Would love to see a reaction from you to the song Down Under by Men at Work

PLEASE React to these Action & Comedies or Both: Starring Chris Evans Cellular The Ringer, Date Night, Big Stan, Netflix Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy, Netflix Jo Koy: Don't Make Him Angry,
Check out the Tenacious D TV show!
The fact that meatloaf played young Jack's father is just so amazing, meatloaf is a legend in his own right
Meatloaf is Jack Black's actual Father.
@@marksmovieroom So Dio is her mother...?
Meatloaf is one of the best all time
Jack Black specifically asked for Meatloaf to play his Dad and for Ronnie James Dio
The kid he got to play his kid self was freaking uncanny too
Jack Black's parent's being unsupportive was made up for the film. In reality, his parents were insanely supportive (and his mom was a genius from NASA).
This isn't the greatest movie of the world. This is just a tribute
Beat me to it
Couldn't remember the greatest movie in the world. This is just a tribiute.
And filet of fish sandwich, because it has less calories because it's fish. Alright, Kage, what do you want? JESUS CHRIST, TAKE FOREVER
Dammit! I scrolled down here specifically to make this joke! XD
And the peculiar thing is this my friends the movie they made on that fateful night didn't actually look anything like this movie!
Fun fact: Jack Black's real-life mom was an accomplished NASA engineer. She was instrumental in the design of the guidance computer used in the Apollo program (she designed the Lunar Module abort guidance computer featured in APOLLO 13). His mother's name was Judith Love Cohen.
What the fuck
'Instrumental' ;)
Yet they can't explain it in modern times when asked... did it even happen if they " lost " the knowledge of the Lunar landers.
If you ever have a chance to see Tenacious D live in concert DO IT. They are truly awesome.
Saw them at Red Rocks. Top 3 concert I've seen
@@jasonweed6213 I've seen them multiple times in multiple states over the past 7 years. Never once have they "phoned in" a show. Always top notch and awesome. Even if you were to remove all the humor they would still be a top tier rock show.
I wouldn’t be able to handle the smoke cloud
The onei n Seattle Is really good
I was supposed to…in Summer of 2020.
How this movie flopped is beyond me because it's an absolute CLASSIC ❤
seems to be a trend with the best cult movies out there.. they all seem to have initially flopped for some reason, just for it to suddenly hit some stride and become a cult classic. iirc same thing happened with Dogma, Donnie Darko, fight club, scott pilgrim (movie), idiocracy (not my personal cult fave but many love it), and even the big lebowski (that one blows my mind bc its incredible).
I can't remember it was either before or after Glullivers Travels with Jack Black, and it was kind of mid.
Speaking of, I need to finish Brutal Legend at some point.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this movie. This was my buddy and mines favorite movie when we were in high school. We had the movie down where we would recite the entire movie. Brings back lots of memories
snatch the remote is from the movie Kung Fu, starring David Carradine(role that was meant for bruce lee)
the white dressed thugs are from a clockwork orange by Stanley Kubrick
TV series
To many people know jack black from movies. I knew him FIRST as Tenacious D. These 2 have been doing music for a long time!! ❤❤
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you laugh this hard and this much in a reaction video before 😂
Tenacious D tours in Australia now and then
It’s so funny and ironic that the Dad yelling at him is Rock N Roll Legend Meatloaf.
the writing fell short by not sneaking in easter egg meat loaf poster into jb's room and have meatloaf rip that down too.. :( rip legend
12:55 Mary's appreciation of this line is exactly the kind of thing that makes her one of The Best.🤣🥃
30:44 Do yourself a favour and investigate everything Tenacious D has done, it's all quite excellent.🤘
15 year old me watched this movie with my mother in cinema. She wasn't too big of a fan about the story. But the music is great.
And to this day, whenever we see someone on drugs in movies we reference the strawberry river.
Bonding with your mother with this movie.
IF anyone didn't know the devil is the lead singer of the foo fighters
& the drummer from Nirvana
And one of the nicest guys in rock and roll history.🤘
Can we give it up for the kid playing Young Jables in the beginning? He's totally believable as a young Jack Black.
The same kid played young Jack Black in Nacho Libre. I didn’t realize it until years later, but he’s the guy that plays the dumb older brother on The Goldbergs.
School of Rock was directed by Richard Linklater who also directed 'Dazed and Confused'.
This movie is by far one of my favorite movies of all time! When it first came out, my husband and I loved it, then our teens loved it! It became our family movie, where we all sang and had a great time! One of my babies stopped crying when he heard this movie start lol
Tenacious D is amazing. They're awesome live too. Jack is so talented
I remember in 2011 I had this soundtrack on repeat constantly on my iPod as I walked from class to class in high school.
Only 3 and a half minutes in and your laughs and smiles just made my day! I love watching you crack up! Carry on !
Hey Mary Cherry, have you heard of the new HBO show about the Vietnamese perspective of the War (North Vietnamese spy), it’s called ‘The Sympathizer.’ It’s directed by Park Chan Wook (Old Boy, Handmaiden), and it’s really a good show so far.
My husband and I watched this on our first date way back like 16 years ago. He chose it to show to me. A weird first date movie but I absolutely love him for it. We have a fondness for comedy music. We went and saw Tenacious D two summers ago in concert. Best concert ever.
He knew he had a keeper when you loved it.
Tenacious D came here to Vegas at a indie record store called Benway Bop back in the mid 90's. I was too young to go, but all my friends were talking about it. I remember feeling the FOMO, and still feel it today. Mind blowing how long they have been around and how they finally found success!
Please watch their music video "Wonder Boy" You will hear Jack's vocals without any silliness. Amazing vocals in this song.
Tenacious D is a real band with kyle gas and jack black. They are hilarious and a good listen. if you want a good laugh or some good tunes check them out.
Me and a friend of mine would quite literally watch this movie religiously and die laughing everytime. I'm not even lying, me and her would watch it everytime we hung out and just marvel at even the small funny moments. One of our favorites is JB singing to himself about joining the Kyle Glass Project...Maybe. And before that he tosses a dishrag trying to catch it behind him and completely fails in doing so. I still have no idea why that moment tickled our funny bones so much but we would rewind that scene endlessly and collapse in laughter. Another shout out goes to the lyric, "2 air ducts on the roof, that's what the guy was talkin' aaaashit!" Once again dead laughing.
Another amazing reaction Mary ❤❤😁😁.
jack black also has a video game brutal legend
Long live the greatest roadie of all time: Eddie Riggs!
Mary, your so unhinged I absolutely love it
The security guard would have had to fire his gun to qualify for a Gun Permit.
He just hasn't shot anyone yet. 😂
First video I ever watched from your channel found it from the collab you did with cinepals love the content your awesome this reaction was amazing
So, there's an underrated movie from 2002 called Orange County, the main characters of the movie are brothers, one played by Colin Hanks and the other olayed by Jack Black. It's also got cameos by Ben Stiller and Kyle Gass.
Orange County is awesome!
When this movie came out i was in highschool and EVERYONE loved the entire album, the songs in this movie are fuckin awesome lol
I don't know why, but I really enjoyed watching you enjoy this movie entirely. Never seen you laugh so much. 😅 I love this!
I'm just glad JB and this film put some much-deserved attention and spotlight on the late, great Ronald James Padovona, aka Ronnie James Dio. Dio was my first ever arena concert back in the day, touring for Sacred Heart at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena. 30 foot fire breathing dragon, laser swords, the whole shebang. Still one of the best concerts I've ever attended.
RJD's stuff with Black Sabbath - especially Heaven and Hell - is actually close to being my favorite of their catalog. METAL! \m/,
You really should watch their HBO specials if you really liked it, and listen to their albums of course !
These guys're great
this was the best Mary laugh yet!
Omg Mary you just look better and better!🙂💯 you’re such a stone FOx 🙂💯
23:49 my tenders 🤣🤣🤣 Mary!!
That actually is kind of what being on mushrooms is like (the beginning where you said that at least). You won't hallucinate anything that isn't there, but everything is super bright and colorful, you get little tracers like he was doing with his hand and you feel like a little kid redisovering your fascination with every little thing. It's freaking wonderful, totally non-addictive and poses no threat to your health whatsoever. Try it! Anyone with your fashion sense would have a good time. I knows 'em when I sees 'em.
Been quite a while since we have seen you laugh so much. Awesome reaction. :)
I got to meet these guys the other day and I'm still in shock 😂 every bit as you'd want them to be. An experience I'll never have again and it was an honour ❤ jables is taller than you'd expect too and im 6ft 4!
saw this in the cinema and could not stop laughing the entire way through. i mean, actually crying. i had to try and keep it together but i couldnt at all. thought it would be fun but i wasnt ready!
Yo! Tenacious D, now this is a rare one. Thank you for the reaction🙏
Loved Kage and JB's Tenacious D show, on HBO I think it was, in the 90s. Also JB was friends with Bob & David and in sketches of Mr. Show with Bob and David which is an amazing show, also in the 90s on HBO.
Great movie. Great music. Saw it in theaters with my buddies (we were the only ones in the theater). It was magical.
Rockn & freakn rolling!
Mary ascended up the stairway to heaven
Couldn't remember the song in the world OHHHH THIS IS JUST A TRIBUTE
Ah, you sat through the songs in the end credits, too. Awesome. So... *why* was the devil working as the open mic night host at a little club in L.A.?? Doesn't matter. If you loved this one, you'd also love another music/comedy masterpiece, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
Wasn’t expecting this but very thankful. This reaction made me so happy. One of my fav movies lol. You say it’s your fave too? Subbed. Now if we can get you to watch some more Seinfeld you would complete me.
In the last act, the rock-off with Satan, sounds like it may be an homage to Charlie Daniel's 1979 song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" where Johnny played his fiddle well enough to win a "golden fiddle" or lose his soul. I haven't heard if that might be the case but it is a classic 70s story telling song.
Time between me recognising the thumbnail and clicking play? About 4ms.
Looking forward to this.
Watch their music video called Tribute.
Haha that laugh @12:59
:) Watching you laugh so much is the greatest treat
YES baby. ! Finally someone react to this masterpice :D The greatest movie in the world ;)
This movie literally saved my life. When I was 17 I went thought a rough time and one night things got really bad and I was thinking about offing myself. I didn’t have anyone and the only thing I could think of was watching this movie. I watched it like 3 times in a row and helped me get thought that rough night. This movie will always be special to me. On top of that I quote this movie all the time and my step brother and I always say to each other dude, I totally missed you everytime we see each other
The creepy dudes at 6:40 are a reference to the Stanley Kubrick movie A Clockwork Orange
This is a REALLY underrated great comedy that will always be one of my favorites
I must say, I have learned more about you in regards to this reaction (in the best way) . I appreciate that you love this movie as much as you did... lol. so thanks :)
A lot of it would have to be heavily edited, but 6:34 (rough time stamp) is a reference to the Movie "A Clockwork Orange"
Its a drama/sort of Dystopia movie that focuses on the crime and rehabilitation of a guy named Alex.
The album with Tribute came out in 2001
RIP Dio and Meatloaf
Mary, the album's on Spotify already.
attagirl! good seeing you back
This definitely was not my style of comedy but I’m glad you enjoyed it.
The most fun I've had watching a reaction in ages! 😂
Tenacious D is touring Australia in July. You should go! I have tickets for their show in Melbourne. Can't wait!
Mary theres a video of all the tenacious d band intros from the tv show, you should check it out or react to the tv show, the comedy is just like this movie!!
idk why she was expecting the devil to be grateful 😂😂
Their first album is amazing. They also had an HBO series that was pretty funny too.
Meatloaf as the dad: "this music that you played for us comes from the depths of hell"
Sir... aren't you the bat out of hell?
Also heard rumors recently of a sequel in the works
Yes finally you are watching this!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Just commenting on your title, I love this movie too.
"This next band asked me not to read this...but...goddammit...I'm gonna read it anyway. BECAUSE I WROTE IT. AND IT'S THE TRUTH!"
I just watched this movie yesterday for the very first time and now I see your reaction here 😂
It must be destiny
Honestly I'm just 3mins into the reaction and I think this is the most fun you've ever had doing a reaction 😂
Tenacious D also had a TV show on HBO before this movie
Tenacious D - Tribute music video next please. It’s like an extension of this movie
This movie has such great cameos, and it makes me sad to see Dio and Meatloaf because they definitely left this world to soon.
Still waiting for the sequel for this
loved this reaction! would love to hear your reaction to their song Tribute its based on the events of the movie =)
I'm pretty sure Richard Linklater directed SoR
I recommend Australian film "Muriels Wedding 1994"
"Why do they have to be naked?" Let me counter your question with another question: why would they have to be clothed?
next Christmas do the grinch moive reaction.
HAHA! "Fuckalie-sing-fuckaloo." Oh I'll never grow up. I'm like Peter Pan except I became a teenager before I stopped aging.
ENJOY THIS MASTERPIECE !!! it´s a Comedy Classic !!!!
Can't believe you watched this. Bless you ❤🤘
Brutal Legend gots plenty to like in theme of being all about music, it's a super rock tribute. If you were ever looking for a video game that's as close as possible to this film as you can get. Jack Black is the lead and playable character.
A long ass f**king time ago in a place called Kickapoo…
He's such a household name these days it's quite surprising to go back see him be so raunchy. I'm unsure if there are many other movies where he's so NSFW.
Not a criticism by the way, just an observation.
That's one of my favorite movies of him, and shallow Hal
The best parts of this movie are when Jack Black is just being Jack Black.
Nice reaction Mary, funny movie 🥰❤️🔥
I’m actually really happy that you watched this movie. It’s really great!!! You had no break from laughing. If you like Jack Black, watch Nacho Libre, it’s underrated!!
