Biggest advantage of the Mikuni carb is the quick and easy jet adjustments. Stock carb has NO adjustments, save physically swapping jet. Fell in love with Mikunis back in the 70s with my Kawasaki A7SS, which had two. Still have those carbs although the bike is long gone.
CarsandCameras what size was the carb? i wonder if it could of "hydrolocked" to much fuel in the cylinder. it should of held together i would think unless you had bearing failure
Well they say when you replace the rod, replace the flywheel and the valve springs so your not limited to 5300rpm. When the valves are upgraded you can see 6500+.
This is a good video, but like the others, nobody shows how to connect the overflow tubes. Can you guys show us how to properly hook up the tubes? Thanks!
Can you do a more in depth video about the mikuni carburetor? Like how to properly tune it,clean it or change the jets 🤔 maybe basic troubleshooting. Please and thank you. I would greatly appreciate it.
It was simply just time for the rod to go because it had alot of wear on it maybe. SHIT HAPPENS in the go-cart world.... That's the fun of it, fixing them back up.
But if it’s still governed should it still be a problem. I’m about to put one on a stock predator. I have one on my Coleman 196 ct200u and haven’t had any problems.

For everyone wondering the adapter size is 48. You also just take off you carb and measure the difference between the bolts
How long can the adaptor be and can it have slight bend
