Thanks for this, Ive been struggling to get my Suzuki king quad to run right. Using OEM jets and just did a carb rebuild. Finally opened up the throttle setting for max richness and she runs great

Quick question sir someone was asking you a question about this carburetor and you referred them to watch the build video but this video is a 24 mm carburetor. The one on your build is a 28 mm so why did you switch out from the 28 mm to the 24 on this video? Was the black carburetor u did with the original video is something wrong with that one vs this one ?
We do it opposite here. We don't turn down the idle screw. Over here we either turn up high idle on the idle screw, then tune to the air/fuel screw to it's highest sound.
Or u can just turn the throttle up and hold it and adjust the air/fuel mixture screw to it's optimal.
Every mechanic in the shop does this too.

I live at 2500 foot elevation and want to ride up to around eight or 9000 feet elevation. If I bring the minibike up to the mountains, do I have to then do this tuning all over again? How do you deal with that?
It will run at higher elevation, It just wont run optimal.

This is were Im having trouble at too, I currently got a 40 slow pilot jet and a 155 or 150 jet. After what I just watched, I have no idea what I am doing. Thanks for the help sir
40 pilot jet way too rich . .normally these carbs run a 35 pilot jet and a 115 to 120 main jets with needle clip in middle position

I have same carb and wen I had it all the way it blogs a Lil then it goes I got 110 jet u think I need a 115 and my needle is at the top slot
Hey I ran my mini without a exauhst thing sounded like I was underwater then this genius told me I can warp my valves so I bought a cheapo one for the meantime till I grab that chrome 3stage center exit from gps the bubbly sound had me loving it tho I was gonna do a vid but I got discouraged

Great video 👍 I have 4 of these carburetors on mini bikes and they can be a little tricky sometimes. The one I am trying to tune now seems to work fine except when I tip the bike over on the kickstand it sounds like it's flooding out and sometimes dies. Float to high maybe?
Need help. Live in Houston Texas. Still can’t get this pwk 28mm right. It is an absolute pain in the ass to start. Once it’s running it runs pretty good other then some hesitation when you go WOT but for now I want to get it to start properly. Predator 212, billet rod, flywheel, 26lbs springs and 272 mongoose cam. I tried watching both your tuning videos but I can’t get it right. Engine ran good before with vm22 and CL1 cam. This issue started with the install of the 272.
Can I put a vm22 on a 79cc predator? I’m using a 120 pilot in Florida. Rn, lowest main jet I have is a 88. It won’t accelerate unless I leave the choke on…

I think on the pwk if you turn screw in its leaning mixture thats why bike idles low and shuts off and turning out richens bike wont turn off if you turn it out just idles bad correct me if im wrong
On the air screw if you turn it out it's leaning the mixture. You are letting in more air. On the fuel screw if you turn it out you are richening the mixture.
@@Black66it ain’t the air screw I have the same set up and it ain’t the air screw it’s the mixure screw which you left out of video ☝🏼

Also question, what carburetor size do you recommend to sue with a 272 cam? I haves a stage 2 predator that had a cl1 cam and vm22 carburetor ran good. Swapped in the 272 cam and now its an absolute pain to start and spits flames out the exhaust. Adjusted valves and everything.

Question: I have a genuine tm-24 that I’m about to put on a Tilly 212 going on a full size rascal, and I would like to purchase a jet kit for it. I’m in south Louisiana where the elevation is -8 to +30. Could you tell me where I could get a good jet kit for this and the range I should get for my elevation/ area?
In your experience do you think a pwk 28mm is tune able for a stage one 212cc?
I would rather use a 24MM , Signal through the carb is better with the smaller cc engines which makes it more throttle responsive and tunable.

Hey, i have a 2015 tao tao jeep, i had it modified to fit a 212 predator (not ghost) and i got a centrifugal clutch and i cant get the engine to drive with me in it (im about 207LBS) and i see videos of grown adults using the same motor able to get there karts to go. So my question is what am i doing wrong? I got the kart to take off with me in it but not too fast and the centrifugal clutch turned bright red. And the engine started to knock slightly so i would stop and the engine would go back to normal operations. Can i get some feedback on what im doing wrong?
My 8yr old tested it can even with the throttle down the kart hardly picks up speed. I made sure the limiter screw was off on motor and pedal. And even with my 8 yr old the clutch smokes
Hey man just found your channel and I have a question. Im looking to build a mini bike from scratch with new parts as cheaply as possible. Unless there’s a kit cheaper then sourcing parts individually, what do you recommend. Right now I’m looking at Azusa frame but I can’t understand what tires and rims fit on the frame that work along with bushings.. thanks in advance
GoPowerSports has the Maverick98 minibike for less than $500 right now. The Rascal Lite is another inexpensive option for a complete bike.

Its a power jet to let additional fuel in the mix at high speed .PWK carbs generally run too rich in the lower rev range, which hurts acceleration. This can be cleaned up with a smaller jet, but this can run too lean in the upper rev range. The Powerjet works to even this out. This allows a smaller jet to be used for optimal pull down low and injects additional fuel from ¾ throttle and up to even out the lean mixture at full throttle.
What is the best carb for a 125cc apollo im running a nibbi 24mm 115 main 45pilot and it goes just bogs when i hit the throttle fast
Maybe switch to a 35 or 38 pilot. It could be bogging because it's too much fuel

how do i know what jets fit a pwk28 carb if it has no labeling?
So I have the same carb bike runs and idles great but when reved just slightly it sounds like it’s red lining ? Not sure why any recommendations ?
Do you have to advance the timing 8 degrees in order to upgrade the carburetor and it run efficiently im getting muddy trottle at 3/4 so i thought needle but after some research was told i needed to advance my timing to 32 degrees with a 8 degree keyway or a aftermarket flywheel with 8 degree advance built in does this sound correct to you
Dam, was trying to tune my nibbi pwk & forgot about the idle screw 😂. The air screw was around 1/4 turns out. I put a 35 pilot now but no fuel lol so if its 1/4 out i need bigger when i put the screw at 1.5 turns?

what do you need to do if it’s to rich and wants to die when you open it
I have a viper mini bike with a stock predator 212, the engine shuts off when I hit a bump too hard or come down from a wheelie too hard.. how can I stop this from happening
Sounds like either your plug wire is not tight fitting or your oil sensor is causing shut off. Disconnect the wire from your magneto to the oil sensor. See if that works

@@Black66 perfect thank you, I'm at 5100ft and had a fuelling problem, totally diffrent jetting to my other bikes, turns out the float bowl was over fuellng.

Could be your spark plug air leak or carb bad
im still confused, im running a 12-14 tooth sequential clutch with a 60 tooth axle gear and i have a gx200 with a big valve head (gx240 head i think), governor removed and a vm22 carb and when im out driving it doesnt wanna go sometimes i have to have it slightly about idle for a few the go and when i go to a bigger main it bogs when fully throttle, ive tried EVERYTHING and doesnt work beside idle jet bc ion got it also maybe doesnt help to be in sugar sand which is soft sand but does it on grass too

Is that to big on the pilot and that’s why I have a bogging issue and sometimes if I give it throttle quickly it wants to die and slowly rises back

Same here. Pwk are more of a dirtbike carb. I bought a mikuni vm22 from gopowersports and it's perfect. No bogging on full throttle
If Black66 gave my bike one pull he would be proud 💪🏼💯💨💨💨 long as the string don't broke lol so is he telling us to try these over the Vm22 skis

@@Black66 Your videos help me alot but whats weird is that im at 300ft elv and it likes a 32 pilot and doesn't like anything past 105 main, i was thinking of a leak but wouldn't that make it want richer jetting? No leaks, this carb is really weird i might buy a nother one
@@MotoVoxDawg420 Thanks, every carb and set up is different. Its possible to have two of the same brand carbs take different jets on the same engine.
As long as there isnt any leaks and the carb isnt dirty.
@@Black66 thanks man i start getting worried, what could cause it to not want to start when cooled off or from a cold start? Starts fine when warmed up.
I turn the air screw all the way out put the idle at like a 1/4 of the way in pull the bike over on choke if it doesn’t fire up turn the mixture screw in a bit pull it over then when it starts then I let the bike run for awhile at idle on a milk crate then i rev it up if it pops or backfires I add fuel how I gage if it needs a different jet is when it’s on flat ground and I’m on the bike when I give it gas if it doesn’t have good throttle response or if it it takes off decent then you feel like the power kicks in and not power all the way until you max out I rejet
I’m going to try this I’m having a hard time to get it fired up it turn on after 4/5 pulls
Sometimes if the bike sits awhile it starts rough and if you turn your gas off after every ride it needs to prime a bit I’ve noticed to get a first pull start pull the bike over slow a few times get it on top dead center pull should fire up easier

I have a vm22 on a pred 212 non hemi and I've messed with the screws some and still can't get it fired up it the engine has 18 pound valve sprins and a Billet flywheel any suggestions to get it up and running?
Vm22 requires the 17 pilot jet and 110 main jets with needle clip in middle position and air)fuel screw set 1 full turn out from seated

How do you tune for full throttle from a stop? I have a bike right now that’s tuned perfectly but if I’m stopped and I full throttle it, it dies completely and I have to restart the bike
Yes I have this issue to it's like 1/4 to half throttle it dies but then wide open it rips not sure what's going on I think mine is lean. Help
@user-ru7he6qj2w thanks I did that's and you were Right it was the needle and a leaking intake manifold I sprayed it carefully with wd40 when I got it idling so it was a combo of a few things!

You should make your bike too rich/ lean and do a test to show how it sounds and how it affects performance.

Where should your idle screw and air screw be set at before you start any tuning, you don’t say this information
Id suggest 2 1/4 turns out from the most in position
Stay stock carb....... Less headaches
Slide carbs are the way to go. Never have a problem with them.
