You could try a couple on Etsy. I have seen others on there. Si Finds cuts the tops off of broken bottles and sells them. He just uses a simple bottle cutter from Amazon.
An idea for all the finds you agonize about whether to take or to leave, take them then decide. Auction off to your subs. I know you've thought of this before, maybe consider it again.
Those insulators look like Bullers LTD london P5065s dated 1936 by the looks of it! They tend to need a slight shock to loosen the rust on these. The last one that you unscrewed actually looks like a different pattern! These were high voltage poles for 11kv (probably) transmission! If you want to know more, just ask! If you follow Let's go with the Johnsons, you'll know I'm the insulator expert! More great finds this video 😁

The super tiny vial you found at 10:00 looks like a perfume sample vial. We used to get them in magazines here in the States. Not sure if that was a thing in Britain or not back in the 90s.
That large button is the kind of button we use on coats many times in the USA. I have one such winter coat with the exact shape. It never slips out of the button hole and are better than round ones with heavy winter wear. 😊💕

I’m in the UK and there is nowhere that I know of near me. I’ve checked old maps but the only dump I know of is a fairly modern one which was dug out years ago 😔
@@KittyGrey13 It seems like we are in the same place even if it's a different location. Maybe an option for us both would be to take up nature hikes and keep an eye out for rubbish. We could bring a simple gardening trow to investigate. Here it's not uncommon to see signs posted on the roadside warning of fines for dumping. I wonder how many sites haven't been documented at all.

I know there have been bottle diggers fairly locally and I’ve asked them for hints as one even has a RUclips channel, but I didn’t get any response. It seems they keep to their own digging communities. I’ve checked old maps from the 1880s compared to newer ones, spent hours searching google maps, but nothing... seems all the best spots are in the North or South of the country and I’m stuck in the East Midlands! 😫 Yes I think always being prepared is a good plan. I really hope you find something soon and please let us know if you do! 😁👍🏻

That time capsule was very important to that 12 year old boy! I imagine that's his dads patch. The bit and bobs are things he found that made him happy. His curious mind was thinking of the future, like all boys in the 50s,60s and 70s. I'm a 74 baby, I can just picture this kid. A dreamer. I'd throw it back. But thats just me. How spooky, Kit and Caboodle just found a pottery head with a hat and used it for crafting. You can never have too many bottles, people will buy them from you because not everyone has a magical dump to explore. Lovely finds again ladies. My great grandmother use to keep a button jar...as a child I loved going mudlarking in her sewing basket..lol It had so many treasures... From that fun finding , I have collected tinytreasures from from many past realitives with a small book with descriptions and info for my grands and beyond.

I think it may be something of a cultural thing to your voices I find so soothing. My name in the states is Bean but my bloodline is from clan McBaine or so my father told me. And I have seen the kilt pattern and color once. As well as the Crest. I am American but my roots are Scottish,English,and Souix indian. I am quite the mismosh but I believe that we never really loose those cultural loves. Things that sooth us even though we were born in a different location. I might be crazy but I don't feel crazy. I like listening to you two and the music. It is so relaxing.
The insulators are made by Daltons of Tamworth(Belgrave) in Staffordshire (was Warwickshire back then) It now a housing estate and a Morrisons supermarket.

I've used and given gifts of electrical insulators as water hose guides in the garden or yard. They protect plants by guiding the hose around them.

When I was a child, 60 years ago in Texas, we used ceramic insulators as candle holders.
My dad made wooden sconces to hold the insulators upside down and we’d put a candle in them (not to burn of course!)
My mom had one with a candle , sitting on a table on the front porch. I've seen them made into a water fixture as well.

As a kid, I accidentally broke one, freaked me out bad because it was for a very stinky expensive perfume that smelled so bad to my young nose.

Yardley was a popular men's fragrance in the 60's and 70's here in the states.
My moms favorite soap is Yardley lavender soap and I still but it for her. We live in Northeastern Indiana
