Those insulators look like Bullers LTD london P5065s dated 1936 by the looks of it! They tend to need a slight shock to loosen the rust on these. The last one that you unscrewed actually looks like a different pattern! These were high voltage poles for 11kv (probably) transmission! If you want to know more, just ask! @@NorthernMudlarks a lovely project (also to sell) would be to make window hangings (or from the ceiling) of a handfull of selected tiny bottles hung from a recycled structure (soldered metal finds, driftwood or pretty natural branches). With water they reflect the light and make exellent and decorative holders for plant clippings to develop roots.
I saw one made of witchhazel and massproduced modern tiny bottles the other day, with added metal candle holders stuck into the branch, quite spectacular as a kitchen chandelier of sorts.
Another idea would be to make family ”message boards” from them.
Hung in a row with a stopper for each with a tiny clip on the bottom.
A narrow roll of paper and a pen on a string.
Each family member with their personal bottle.
Message in a bottle rather than some boring board, also less ”public”, and a pretty display for a hallway.
You could drill tiny holes in the bottoms and wire them with leds in clusters for really cool free form lamps.
Like the oriental boho ”grapelamps” only much more interesting and unique.
Select others to sell with a home made perfume if you can fashion stoppers for them. I wonder what a scent called ”Eau de Northern Mudlarks” would smell like?
English roses, woodnotes, oakmoss, salty minerals, rain on soil , a hint of bergamotte tea and sweet thorny bright yellow gorse flowers?
I love tiny glass bottles and viles too. Irrisistable ❤️

Okay, here we go! :-) More great finds, you larks! Those insulators are very neat... you need to go get the rest of them. They need to be in your garden! Alex, your poor hands... are those scratches from brambles or an ill-humoured pussycat? Those coffee bottles full of random crap can be found in any bloke's garage... we can't resist saving odds & sods which "may come in handy some time". Love the patch, that's a very cool story. Cheers from NS!

      Dear lovely @@NorthernMudlarksLadies 💚💚
I guess that the next urgently needed machine is a stopple bopper grinding device!? Or maybe even a device for grinding inside the nottlebecks!? 😁😂
      2) To be serious at last: There are a lot of honing devices on the market (for using with a drilling machine). Even relatively little ones (and not very expensive). Usually/commonly used for honing all kinds of cylinders (mostly for engines and brakes). Maybe you should try it out (if you please kindly allow me this suggestion)?
      Sincerely yours

The little clay marbles look like pie weights. They go in the pie pan when you are baking just the crust and they hold it down so it stays flat and doesn't puff up.

When me and my dad we're coming home from South Australia in 1987 we stopped in the middle of nowhere in the mallee scrub there was all these super old telegraph poles on the ground with clear glass insulators we took a hole bunch home. The golf balls i used too hack saw the outer case off and get the rubber string thing go they unwind and spin and go crazy great fun for the dog and the solid ones for lack luster bouncing balls. 🐈🦄❤
