Adorable! You could write a little storybook to go with those little houses. How the pipes were discarded more than a century ago & how the forest fairies turned them into tiny houses, deep in the woods. 🏘🧚♀️
Fairies search the dirt piles for the right pipe bowl to make their homes... making friends with the badgers (so misunderstood by human gardeners: a badger's got to do what a badger's got to do!)... one fairy that has a garden of all the lead toys... one that collects buttons...
Excellent idea! Fairy tale stories with old style art, read aloud on audible or podcast. Read by yourselves or..I was just watching something featuring a woman from a long line of storytellers, a dying art, indeed. You could do a creative collab with that grand old gentleman that finds and records elves and fairies.
The pipe bowl houses are a great idea, they do look attractive. They conjure up visions of little people, living a mysterious life in another world. I could see these becoming collectable.
Oh, how divine, a wee fairy garden. Amazing!!!!. I was gifted about 20 vintage and antique gnome a few years back. I repaired and repainted them and then popped them in the gardens of some of the lovely people id meet on my daily walks with Django. I loved it, I gave each gnome a name and a little note attached to it letting the people of the gnomes new house all about where it once lived and why they chose that garden as their new digs. I never told the person who's garden i snuck the gnome into that I was responsible. When I'd walk past with my dog, they'd stop me and show me that a wee gnome called Billy or Betty had come to live with them. They loved them and I'd say in each letter that the gnome picked them cause of their beautiful garden and thought they'd enjoy the company. Was never caught out but I know my wee gnomes got new homes with someone that loved them. Abit crazy? Possibly but I enjoyed it. Lots of love from Australia ✌🌻😊
You've captured my heart with your fairy village!!! My granddaughter is 5 and very into the wonder and magic of fairies. I've made her a swing set and slide with popsicle sticks, and a stage with background curtains for her "productions" of talent shows. She's got such a great imagination!!! I'll show her your itsy-bitsy pipe houses next time she comes over!!!
Whimsical! Precious and just right for the Wee little people. I believe there is a garden leading up to the village tucked deep in the greenery that lives in a pretty little pan. How fun, to watch this video. Peaceful
Your creative imagination that allows you to see little houses in pipe bowls is amazing,it also teaches me to see the world from a new and different perspective. Thank You.
Did you ever figure out if that pipe bowl and stem that you found near each other were part of the same pipe? I love to watch you guys you always make me smile! I love how excited you both get when you find something!
I love the little fairy houses made out of the found pipe bowls. My favorite is the one Gail made with the red roof and the ivy growing on it, so cute.
Gail, Alex, your videos are like a delicious cup of coffee, I need to sit down and savour every drop. The filming, the music, beautiful nature shots, the finds, the crafts...every bit. I love the clay pipe houses. I found my first clay pipe bowl yesterday 😁. Thank you for another gem of a video.❤
"The kids have been at it." Those kids were probably the same age as your great(x?) grandparents. 😁 Re: the ears, I've always imagined them in a 4x5 grid framed. Almost like a turn-of-the-century medical school poster. Don't know why!! 👂🏼👂🏼👂🏼👂🏼 Thanks for all the beauty & fun! 👋🏼🙋🏽♀️✌🏽
wow, where do I start?! Firstly I love the nature clips in between finds, you always put such perfect music with that. The perfume bottle with the broken top is gorgeous, loved the expedition to get the codd bottle. The clip at the first part of the round up with the face in the teacup made me smile. But oh god do I love the fairy house pipe bowls! The colors came out beautiful and I would love to live in one! 😁 I think you need to expand the village when you find more pipe bowls...
Well done you two. The quality of your videos is great, the editing and the choice of music is wonderful. Your creativity in what you do with your finds is inspiring as is the educational content, but most of all the sense of fun and enjoyment of each other’s company just makes for a feel good half hour. Keep going please.
I'm so glad you took that gorgeous bottle even though it has a broken lip. I also thought you could maybe cut the top off or I wonder if you can cut each face of the bottle apart into four flat pieces, frame it with silver and make pendants?
The little people's cottages are just so dear....just everything on your videos are so different from my world. Love coming to see world every week....thank you.
Could have been used in leather work where they used it to cushion the tip of a hole punch to makec holes in leather belts or even used by a cobbler for the same purpose for punch holes
Those pipe houses were absolutely *adorable* 😍 the brick one, and the one with roses were my favourites, if I had my own garden, I'd buy lots of these, and just place them randomly amongst the flowers, my dream is to have a space I can plant loads of wildflowers, I'd 100% turn it into a fairy garden. (Im 44 and I grew up reading Enid Blyton lol, I'd love to create a magical looking garden. 😁

The writer in me sees a child's story about the fairies who live in a Pipe Village. Pipeville perhaps. So creative. I also love all the places you go find your treasures. Wonderful adventures and thanks for letting us follow you on them. Blessings.
One thing I really respect about both of you is that you really do dig. It’s not like Antiques Roadshow, but real life. It’s easy to imagine myself in your spot. That ear ring is fantastic! Looking at the houses, I can tell that you guys have excellent painting skills.
Darling houses! Love the way the bricks look like bricks! And I love all the extra little details on them--- you both have used your painting talents and imaginations to make a lovely village for little people.
Lovely little fairy houses. I wish I could find the clay pipes in my area. If you want a tip for remembering how a glaze color will turn out after firing, by some small white tiles and take one for each color. Take the red, for example, and dip a tile half way in the glaze and write the color name on the unglazed half. Do one for each color. After firing, glue each tile to the lid of it's corisponding color for reference.
Gail and Alex, your creativity is incredible, thank you for sharing it, you are both very gifted, And I can see why you enjoy your craft! Wish I could get my hands on some clay pipes to do as you suggested at the end! What a magical Video this week, I so enjoyed it, many thanks 🧚♂️🧚

I am absolutely IN LOVE with your hand-painted little houses. I can't wait for you to make more. Stunning craftmanship.
The cone shaped glass looks like the type of flower vase that were fitted into Rolls-Royce cars, my brother in law has them in his old Rolls x

As I watch you painting the pipe bowls I thought how lovely if you drilled a hole to make them Christmas ornaments that could hang from a ribbon
As Christmas decorations they would be adorable, with snow covered roofs maybe ?
