Thank you for this recipe. I made it yesterday and again today because my family loved it so much and it's so healthy. This stew has great flavor and it's delicious🙂
I was just hankering to make a thicker vegetable soup so I surfed the web and found this recipe. I have to say, my mouth was watering while watching. 💦The tomato paste added in to the sauteed veggies - love that idea. Can't wait to make this 'stew' tomorrow🩷
What a lovely comment! 😊 I'm so glad you found the recipe inspiring and that the tomato paste step caught your eye-it's such a simple way to deepen the flavor. I hope the 'stew' turns out just as delicious as you're imagining. Let me know how it goes!🍲
This video made me curious about Worcestershire sauce and what it actually is, and apparently the sauce is made typically with anchovies making most versions of Worcestershire sauce non-vegetarian.
Yes, most Worcestershire sauces have anchovies however there are some good vegan alternatives out there. Here’s our go to amzn.to/3AcdC6g (affiliate link)
Traditional Worcestershire sauce contains anchovies, so it's not vegetarian. However, there are vegetarian versions available that use plant-based ingredients instead! You can find those in most grocery stores or make a substitute at home. 😊
Great idea! Chopping the mushrooms into smaller pieces would help them blend more seamlessly into the stew, adding their savory, umami flavor throughout. Plus, it’s perfect for those who prefer smaller bites. Little changes like this can make a big difference! 🍄🍲
I made this stew, but didn’t add the lentils…but it was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much x

Hi! It looks delicious, but could I cook this without the red wine?
Hi, thanks you! You can use a splash of vegetable stock in place of the red wine if you'd prefer.😊
@@busybakerblog It's winter here in Ireland, so I'm making it tomorrow. Thanks for the reply
I just cooked this. It’s really tasty. Thank you for sharing. Ps. I swapped out lentils for cauliflower.
So happy you enjoyed it! Great idea swapping in cauliflower for the lentils-sounds delicious! 😊 Thanks for sharing your twist!

Try Hendersons Relish, great vegan alternative!
Fish sauce basically
It’s just a little fish in the sauce lol. Or if you wanna skip the Worcestershire, you can try adding in some beef or pork for the umami.
Worcestershire sauce - vegetarian?
Yes, that’s what I thought
it's usually isn't

Why not cut the mushrooms up into little pieces??
