gorrilaunit99 interesting. I always thought oils were bad and I always avoided them. But my skin would still be so oily. Then one day I watched a video that said sometimes your skin can produce more oil to overcompensate when it’s too dry, and they suggested some oils to try. Long story short - since I’ve been using rose hip oil at night my skin is so moisturized and soft but not oily at all. And I have had fewer breakouts :) Bit everyone is different 🤷🏻♀️

The ordinary has had so many complaints from that product for years. I think they're reformulating
I wish they had been more vocal about the reformulation. The old formulas were still on the shelves in Ulta, which is the one I bought.
Mmmm salicylic acid is not supposed to be used daily...
I’ve been using this product for a long time and I’ve learned that less is more and use it verrrry conservatively.

I thought everybody knew this, but just a PSA for everyone out there: NEVER jump into using acids and retinols every day. NEVER. Start out using once a week and build up tolerance. I use a retinol everyday, but only use an acid 2x a week at the most. ALWAYS research a product before starting to find out the correct way of using it and NEVER use any kind of acid every day.
Booty gurus: 50 products.
Literal dermatologist: 3 products.
I've noticed that too! I refuse to give into the hype anymore. I'm gonna stick to my three step night routine and two step morning routine

They actually stopped selling that salicylic acid serum from the ordinary bc of people getting chemical burns like the ones you had, last I heard they are re formulating it
I remember I was looking for it a few months ago bc I wanted it to fix my skin. I’m glad I never found it 😭I definitely woulda gave myself a burn.
I just wish they took more action. Even though they stopped selling it online, it was still on the shelves at my local Ulta which is why I bought it.

It says on the bottle that it's not recommended to use more that twice a week...
dont you think its weird that since Brandon died, the item initially barely restocked and when they did restock it, the formulation started giving people problems?? it was rare for this product to cause problems and now they completely discontinue it to make a new product to replace it?? ...consider the fact that estee lauder bought the company and then won a lawsuit to get rid of him....

It chemically burned me so bad and I patch tested before I used it
I started using retinol and niacinamide for my blackheads, it RUINED my skin. I'm still recovering and my skin hasn't gotten any better. 😭
@@pri6ya oh no!! Did you use the retinol multiple days in a row? You have to start really low percentage wise and slow to let your skin adapt.

Penny, I had a similar experience years ago when an esthetician left a pumpkin enzyme peel on my face too long. I was so worried I would be scarred for life. But it healed. Be careful with your skin. Be careful with essential oils too. My co-worker recently burned her face using cinnamon oil! My favorite Cocokind product is the baby organic soothing salve. It helps everything!! Ill have to try some of their skincare products.
yooo that’s wild, i jus used the ordinary peeling solution two days ago and it gave me chemical burns to my face as well & they look similar to yours .
desere jaily you might have sensitive skin, I heard that the peeling solution is not good for that. As for the salicylic acid, it’s meant to be a spot treatment
@@asbestoscider You're right. I also have sensitive skin and I have stayed away from harsh products (especially chemical peel) or anything too rough. That's the struggle of having sensitive (& dry) skin. Strong acids should be used 1or 2 times a week with days in between. This youtuber named Hyram is really good at explaining how to use products for sensitive skins etc..
Did you do a patch test first? I’ve never had a bad experience using their products 🤔

YESSS sometimes used Salicylic acid daily is a mistake and gives you worse skin!! My skin has never been better from just using cleanser, moisturizor, sunscreen, and niacinamide. And I only used salicylic acid AS NEEDED for a few days at a time, only in the areas I need it (usually T zone). Thanks for the amazing videos dude!!

As someone who’s experienced cystic acne, I’ve had hyperpigmentation, scarring, and one time a pretty bad burn from a face mask and other harsh products to where i had to wear a bandaid on my face to school 🙃. I’m so glad you were able to heal your skin bc I know the feeling lol but on the bright side my regular breakouts don’t seem nearly as bad to me anymore :))

If you ever get a burn or a rash, rub an ice cube on the affected area and then follow with a banana peel. It seems but it works as it has a cooling effect and reduces the redness 🥰🥰🥰

I think it’s really important to remember your skin naturally renews itself and when you exfoliate you’re helping your skin not doing it for it because you’re skin is a organ that is better at taking care of your skin than any product so work together and listen to it 🙂

My skin is hella crazy sensitive. I've tried all the complex skin care routines and would break out. I currently use 3 products from earth to skin. I'm glad you shared this experience with us.
I have an allergy to fragrance... I recently had a really bad allergic reaction all over my body because of it. I can't use ANY products with fragrance (except Shea Moisture essential oil blend seems to be okay for now - I can't find anything else at the moment).
