I think this will be a really capable truck they say landrover are known for problems as so are many other cars. Landrover are brilliant in my opinion I’ve had a few things go wrong and had to dig deep in the pockets but they’re high maintenance trucks if you maintain them they will be good too you and not let you down you just need to know them inside out learn what maintenance they need and keep up with it if you can do that then you will have the best and if not then one of them best off-road trucks ever made. You just have to think of them as a high maintenance women needing this and that now and again to keep them happy 😃

It will be ok for school runs but that's about it, Lots of lovely technology to go wrong.
Land Rovers always are known for their off-road ability no doubt, I have the "original" Defender and love it.
Firstly, nice relaxing video.
Secondly, this car does not resemble the Defender, they are marketing this towards the LR Discovery 4 owners that don't like the look of the Disco 5, don't blame them.
Third, how reliable and dependable will be in the harsh Australian outback, where I live now, with so much technology built into it. I love technology but water, microscopic red Australian dust and humidity are the technology's worst enemy.
This will be for mums picking up kids from school (when corona is sorted)!

At this point it very hard to tell. There are indeed a lot of Disco 4 customers who are interested in the New Defender. But there went a lot of time and effort into the development of the New Defender. In addition to the exhaustive simulation and rig testing, they have driven Defender 1.2 million kilometres, and completed more than 45,000 individual tests to ensure that it is the toughest Land Rover ever made.

Not roomier enough. We test drove one and my friend is 6.5 ft. and he was very uncomfortable in the back seat. This vehicle is for short people.

the styling kinda reminds me of the honda element.
It's really sad to see what's become of the Defender. When this is what counts for a test drive I don't see how you can feel comfortable claiming it's "capable of great things." I didn't see anything there that my Nissan Xterra couldn't do just as easily. What happened to the solid axles? Even the rear is independent now. The old Defenders were notorious for breaking down and needing lots of maintenance, but you could fix it all behind the shed with whatever tools you happened to have. I don't know what the reliability will be like for this new version, but I guarantee you won't be able to just fix it at home.
Dear Ricky, Thank you for your comments. During a testdrive with lots of unexperienced drivers we want to have fun without pushing limits. About its reliability and easy to fix...Time will prove it. We haven't any experience with this car yet. Keep following us. Terlouw
The difference being that this can do more than any other stock 4x4 on the market, but it can sit on any motorway, A road, b Road in absolute comfort and refinement and it is one of the safest cars on the road. I think your missing the point of what a car in 2020 has to deliver, the regulations that every manufacturer has to meet and the customer expectations.

What's the point polluting local environment with dirty car going through the lake!? Do it in controlled area!!!
It is a controlled lake. The lake is maintained by a event company in our local area. They drive threw the lake with old Defenders om a daily base.
Terlouw Autogroep I guess you didn’t understand his point. This lake looks like natural lake which was made by God, not you. So, if you need a lake for your tests, make the test lake, but don’t pollute the natural one.

It is a Dutch car with Dutch language and settings. Plural of camera in dutch is camera's.
I sadly had to watch one Guy who brought a new 110 , bragging how pedestrians will be envious ect ect . 20 mins later the F In Thing broke down ish -warning lights ect .& two recovery trucks couldnt fix it . The Owner had too ! Lovely car as well

The jeep in the background has much more character and charisma than the Land Rover (I can't bring myself to call it a Defender, sorry not sorry).

The Grenadier was engineered in Austria and will be built in France. Not the UK.
At the last minute the Brexit supporting billionaire owner of INEOS decided to ditch plans to build it in Wales and moved production to a factory in France. It’s a vanity project of a hypocrite; go ahead and buy one. LOL
Guys,this is another cute driver for going to the nail salon or hot yoga class.
They made a wimped out Land Rover that is going to fill some more parking places in my high rise condo building.
We have at least thirty or more Land Rovers, not to mention the many Porsche Suv's and even a few crazies who bought Maserati Suv's.
They will be driven by Millenials,and rarely or never see any more dirt than a construction site.
Buy a new Grenadier, or a new Bronco or something that requires cajonnes.

THERE GONNA REALLY START TALKING BAD ABOUT THE NEW DEFFENDERS ON HOW CHEAP IT LOOKS INSIDE AN ALL THE RUBBER AN PLASTIC. I THINK LAND ROVER SHOULD HAVE REALLY MADE THIS MORE LIKE THE OLD DEFFENDER. THEY HAVE ALL THE OTHERS MODELS THAT ARE CAR SUV LIKE. SO WHY THIS ONE??? THERE HOLE LINE UP IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. DON'T CARE ABOUT ALL THE TRACTION ONTROL IN THE WORLD. IF THE DRIVE TRAIN CAN'T HOLD UP TO OFF ROADING. HAS ANY BODY REALLY LOOKED UNDER THIS THING??? IT'S NOT GONNA HOLD UP VERY WELL IN OFF ROAD CONDITIONS EVER BODY PUTTING IT THREW ON YOU TUBE AN AROUND THE WORLD. THEY BEEN BAD MOUTH FOR SAFETY AN COMFORT PRICE AN THEY SAY THERE NOT RELIABLE AN STILL MAKING A KILLING. EVEN DODGE KILLING THEM TWO. AMERICANS DON'T WANT A REAR WHEEL DRIVE V8 CAR???
