I’m a diy guy, and by no means am I a professional mechanic, but I do a lot of research on anything that I’m about to do to my car. That being said, all the research I’ve done on the dynomax bullets says that the ones in your video are technically installed backwards. The long end is supposed to be the inlet, short end is the outlet. Not sure how much of a difference it makes, just sharing the knowledge in case you wanted to look into it yourself! Great videos.
I definitely went with the last option with a little twist. Had both mids and both resonators all replaced on my WB scat with Dynomax race bullets and then the quad tips added. Now that’s the way a muscle car should sound! It sounds ridiculously aggressive and is truly a head turner.
@@RoyalViking465 no issues with codes. I think what throws a code is when you mess with the catalytic converters and/or the active valves. I was adamant in telling the guys don’t mess with my valves. It’s the perfect set up for me. It’s loud enough in Eco/auto mode and stupid loud in anything else.
Love how the Flowpacks take the raspy edge off of the tone of the 6.4. Had them on 3 of my projects. The Vibrants have a nice tone too. Don't like the Dynatech or Dynomax Bullets. They are the loudest but too raspy. The MBRP catback sounds pretty good for the price.
On my 2019 Challenger RT, I installed the Dynomax Race Bullets on the mids and deleted the rears.. let me tell you I get compliments all the time! Now that I'm trading it in for 22 WB Scat, you bet I'm going to do the same thing! I can't wait till she comes in!!
Hey, i hope all is well! I'm just checking in to see if you got the Scat. I bought one two weeks ago and the previous owner straight piped it and it drones like crazy lmao. The Race Bullets sound so nice to me, but most people I've seen kept the rear mufflers/resonators on. I just wanted to know what it would sound like with Race Bullets in the middle and rear muffler delete
Exhaust Addicts: Please make a dedicated video for the challenger in this video with the Jones Flow Packs. I would also LOVE it if you had a video of a 5.7 hemi with them also. You have other videos of Hemi cars with the Jones, but they all have rear mufflers/resonators. This is the only one I can find where it has the jones in the mids with a rear delete. But the stand-alone video you have for this car is when it still had the rears.
I spent $300 on Raccoons custom direct fit quad tips for my Shaker. Took em off and put $20 dumps right after the axle. Really like the look of the quads, but the sound of the dumps won me over.
Best bang for the buck, no question.. Had it on my 18' ScatPack Manual (never should've gotten rid of that car) and will put em on my 22' ScatPack Manual.. When it gets here, lol.. (10-12 week build wait.. not bad considering the market these days).
For the money, i would just say get the race bullets or straight pipe it, but if your budget is good with spending a couple of dollars on a full cat back system, then go fot it... i recently changed out the mid mufflers and love it btw
I’m interested in seeing how it would sound with the race bullets then replacing the rear resonators with the 6” round SS Dynomax mufflers and some cooler tips.
The guy with the MBRP exhaust should of saved some money for gas. On a serious note, I had the MBRP Street cat-back installed on my Charger Scat. The cold start is wicked--and it's the Street model.
#5 (TorRed car) and #3 (Granite car) are perfect sounding to me. #4 (Frostbite blue car) is close to perfect, but just a bit too raspy for me. If you like just a little rasp, I could see how someone would prefer this. #2 (Sublime Green Pearlcoat car) and #1 (Plum Crazy car) are definitely too raspy for me.
I know right. I had a widebody scatpack for like 8 months. I took it back cause I was only averaging 8 miles a gallon and was stopping for premium gas 2x a week lol.
The best exhaust setup for a Scat Pack 392 is factory. According to a Dodge mechanic friend who went to the factory schools. These vehicles bear absolutely no resemblance to the carburated old-school muscle car where you could chop the pipes and put a better exhaust manifold to get better performance. Sort of. Or take the smog off. Newer cars are 100 percent computer - designed by pretty much rocket science - changes in back pressure make a difference (or anything, including tire size) to the sensors. And it doesn't make things better. You can't aspirate them better - that's about upgrading to a Hellcat. The way it comes off the lot is at it's peak performance. You all just want it louder. And some of those muffler mods make your car sound like a motorboat. Six bangers are the worst for that, but I've heard some pretty silly 392's too. But I guess your money is your money. You will spend it like you want.
The only exhaust that sounds better than stock in my opinion is the Awe track…. I’ve owned the corsa extreme and the mbrp… corsa extreme sounded great outside the car but was too quiet inside. The mbrp was a disappointment to me… made it sound more German V8 ish than American. The AWE has a h-pipe instead of the x so it has a very distinctive sound
Idk how accurate that decibel tester is because it seems like they were all around 104db including the stock exhaust except for the last setup being around 110db.
Borla atak if you want that muscle growl signature corsa extreme if you want to sound like a race car....I prefer borla since it has more of deeper growl.
Coming from a 392 charger , and just getting my 22 WB challenger shaker with a 6 speed manual, yeah the auto is way faster but damn I couldn’t enjoy challenger with an auto lol 😅
I'd probably do the same, but having kids makes you "grow up" I guess lol and I personally think the Jones Flow Packs are a good happy medium between stock and straight pipe.
Thought this might be a good place to ask as you guys do this for a living, but any idea of a Challenge exhaust that sounds a bit more like a old race bike? Maybe comparable to some modern stock cars at higher rpm? Not super high pitch, think older 60s 70s race bikes (or if a modern bike maybe somewhat similar to Aprilia RSV4? something like that if not exactly), but i heard one awhile back. I give that description because i heard the engine and was waiting to see what type of bike, then out of no where a Challenger drove by. On fly by it did not have the wobbly tone of a 3.6 more the chatter of a V8 on decel, but maybe it could of been a V6 with a really nice exhaust, although i do not believe that to be the case. Interested if anyone has ideas on what it could of been, i know for old classic Ford V8s there was such a trend a while back to tune the exhaust and intake to produce such sounds (callback to LeMans and Trans Am era racing) but never really got a clear picture on the parts used or the recipe to actually make it all sound so good.
Buy a Taser Automotive to unlock your exhaust sounds it opened up the electronic baffles cut your BBQ Pits out which of the Mufflers closest to the exit exhaust take out the mid exhaust pipe it with 4in and you will have the burble tune the taser gives you the features of the 2021 1320 line lock track mode everything a good little boy and girl would need to go to the track
Ive got the dynomax miki race bullets, and the mfer-1s. Sounds awesome, like super ballsy lol. Just ridiculous. I went with that set up because the idle sounds good to. Gets the clug clug clug clug sound happening. 100% better than stock.
Came looking for something a little better than the mid muffler I have my 21 scat but honestly none of them sound too much different. Could just be the video tho idk
Most microphones, especially with go-pro's, make quiet things louder and louder thing quiet so it's easier to hear. The drive-offs are what tell you how loud the different setups are depending on how far away the car is and the volume it's still at, if that makes any sense.
To the guy holding the camera. - You don't know much about cars or exhausts , u don't even know the difference between a muffler and a resonator . Stop screaming, learn a bit and then open your mouth
I still have the cover on my 23 widebody challellenger and it has saved the splitter at least 3 times. The last time I hit a gator on the road going 70. Just put a black mark on the yellow protector. It's there for a reason.

I’m really diggin’ that MBRP setup. Not too obnoxious. Deep throaty rumble. 👍

Yeah I like this one a lot too but I’d switch the tips for ones that fit, & probably black instead
The tips stick out too much. You should have trimmed the pipes.

Just delete everything after the cats and they’ll all be just about as loud and raspy as the other.
