TODAY'S VIDEO:
In today’s video I respond to Arla’s recent shocking advert where they sing along to a classic song to distract from the reality of their industry. In my reaction I discuss the hypocrisy of dairy farmers using the word ‘free’ to describe their cows and also look at their new welfare scheme. Arla’s recent comments about an investigation into their farms also reveals a troubling double standard and even contradicts the claim that they are making in their latest advert.

To be honest i get what you are saying but it's not like all the vegan options are more morally correct. All the pesticides are killing the million little bugs in the fields. Was vegetarian for 2 years because of you, went full vegan a few months ago. Never going back 🤙 You're the reason dude. Keep it up ♥️
Good job! Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We're here to help. :)
@suicune2001 I have a question if that's okay. How do you deal with rude comments from people? I'm usually just speechless but I wish I could actually educate them or say something that makes them realize what they're saying is kind of insensitive and uninformed 😭
@@renburgundy Depends on who it's coming from. You'll notice regular trolls and I just ignore them unless I'm in a particular mood. I usually respond to mean comments with truth dripping in sarcasm.
Like when someone says, "Vegans are babies because they don't want to kill animals. Boo hoo! Grow up!" I'll usually respond with, "Right! What little bitches! Whenever I get mad, I give my dog a good kick to the face to make me feel better and these crybabies tell me to stop doing it. How dare they force their pussy views on to me! I am a MAN! And REAL men harm the weak and defenseless for fun!"
A good way to catch someone in their uninformed hypocrisy is pointing out how eating animals is harming and killing animals and humans for fun. Then someone usually responds with, "It's not for fun! It's for food and resources!" Then I make them prove we NEED to eat those animals to be healthy. I point out the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the WHO, and even the heavily animal agriculture lobbied USDA all state we're perfectly fine eating vegan diets. So clearly there is no evidence we NEED to eat animals. And if we're not eating animals because we HAVE to then we're doing it because we WANT to and that's the same as doing something for fun. No one eats cake and ice cream or mac and cheese for health. Those animals were tortured and killed for our entertainment and nothing more. People really hate being told they paid someone to slit an animal's throat for their entertainment. lol
Then when I get someone who is just full on, "I don't care about animals. I'll grape a puppy if it makes me happy." I'll point out how harming animals also kills us as a consequence. Zoonotic diseases like bird flu, swine flu, salmonella, E. coli, COVID-19, and many many other diseases come from animal agriculture. No broccoli ever gave anyone salmonella. Salmonella comes from feces.
I also point out antibiotic resistance which is killing over a million people a year. Animal agriculture is a large driver in that and the number will jump to 10 million a year once our antibiotics are worthless.
Climate change is also HERE in case they weren't paying attention. At this point, we're more willing to let humans die of dehydration than a cow.
I also point out how eating animals is terrible for human health. It causes heart attack, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and a host of other things.
I also LOVE to point out how diseased the animals are. According to the USDA, cows have leukemia, AIDS, several strains of strep infection, staph infection, mastitis, and mycoplasma. The USDA website said in 2020 that 89% of dairy operations and 38% of beef operations have cows with leukemia because of unsanitary business practices. And according to USDA and FDA feed regulations, animals are legally allowed to be fed urine, feces, growth hormones, cannibalism (yes, even cows), antibiotics, and plastic.
Sorry for the mega post. I literally published a book on this stuff so I have a huge pool of knowledge to pull from. lol

Carnivores eat so much meat they've lost the ability to make taurine. Just like how we don't have the ability to make vitamin C but carnivores do. We have a taste bud for starch linked to pleasure. I am self employed in the sport fishing industry and grew up in the commercial fishing industry. This teacher has told my boys that I am the second coming of Hitler.
She shamed them to become vegan activists as well they are joining a Jr communist party. One night they asked me how I could live with myself knowing that everything we have has been paid for with the blood of innocent animals?
They did make a very point. Called my dad to run things until I got back. I cancelled their cell phones, closed out their college funds and transferred them to a scholarship for those who want to be in the emergency services, took their laptops and donated to a charity that gives them to underprivileged students, gave their kayaks and fishing gear to an employee I have who is a single parent like me.
Finally they needed me to pay for them to take the driver's education course. I told them that it would be blood money that would be paying for it. Then I told them to tell the government to let you take the course. I explained to them that I wasn't punishing them for being vegan I told them I didn't want to raise hypocrites..
@@shawndarling1980 You don’t get to choose who or what your kids become. The only thing you can choose, given the outlook and choices they make, is whether or not to be supportive and loving. You don’t get to call your kids hypocrites simply for having a different outlook on life than yourself, especially when children are dependant on their parents in so many ways, not least financially.
By your reasoning, if Hitler had kids and they said ‘Dad please don’t kill Jews we won’t no part of it’, you would simply label them hypocrites for having no choice but to grow up in his castle.
I hope I’m wrong but I can’t help but feel your kids have learnt more compassion from a woman at school they see a few hours a week than they have from the (hopefully) numerous hours they spend with their dad. I hope that when you become old, frail and dependant your kids have learnt enough compassion to not turn their backs on you like you are doing to them.
I’m vegan but I do not judge you or think any less of you for your line of work (regardless of if you want to change it or not). We can agree to disagree without it affecting my compassion for you. If you can’t afford that same level of compassion for your own kids then I don’t know what to say.
@@goldie9731 It just wouldn't be right for vegans to accept assets from someone in the industry that I am in. That is kinda like someone like me having a prime rib dinner but yet owning a dog right? I also cut them out of my will I got a younger cousin who works for me and that way the businesses will stay in the family after I am gone.
I lost my compassion when I was still a child. I got bullied so bad in school by my classmates since I was the slowest smallest kid in the class. I would get chased home every day after school and I would get the shit beaten out of me.
Finally after the last one my parents sent me to live with an uncle in Alaska. I was home schooled because I was afraid of the whole bullying thing. I also went to work for him commercial fishing.
I saw and learned a lot in my twelve years up there. I went from a weak nine year old kid into a man very quickly. Started doing just fishing at first then got a little older and bigger tanner snow crab.
The rest of my family celebrates holidays and birthdays. However I outgrown that when I was ten years old. I told my boys when they were young that friends, birthdays, and holidays were for little boys and they weren't little anymore.
My tenth birthday was in the middle of black rockfish season. My uncle and the rest of the crew put a little party together for me. I told them that we would be wasting time because we still had ten tons to catch. It was the early years of my life that made me the person I am.
I just hope I have taught my boys something along the way. For example don't lie, cheat, steal, look both ways before crossing the street.
I do support them in their path in life but saying that I am a merchant of death and everything we have is paid with blood money that wasn't right. Another thing I tried to teach them is how to learn from a mistake. When I was up in Alaska I made a mistake when we were out fishing for tanner snow crab and it cost a good man his life. That I will never get over.
This hilights the fact that the only problem for the cows that the general public is aware about with dairy, is whether the cows are let out to pasture.
Nope Keep them in cages 😅, ye vegans will go after anything 😂
Ed, you are brilliant, passionate and witty. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work. It made me cry to see those poor animals. 😢 How can humanity be so cruel? When you said the dairy industry was a morally disgusting business, you hit the nail on the head. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏
I think this could be one of your best videos!!! Thank you
We know the dairy industry produce a lot of shit. 😂 That got me
I loved that one, especially where he said most of it comes out of the mouths of farmers, he has a point!😆
Wasn't expecting this from Ed, lol! I guess he's getting fed up with their shit!
@@sschreck08 As he should be, it was fun to see him voice it haha.
Damn... Ed getting spicy🌱
that's pretty gay of you, although it surprised no one
*HEY!* again ;)
She sure is ,and the transition us coming along
People who buy into this type of advertising are willfully ignorant. Cows have a great life! I saw a commercial by the milk industry that proves it...duh....
Don't care what process it is, my taste is more important than an animals life
@@rondarkman. Most people are not completely dead inside like you are. Thus they make ads, like this one, that gloss over the abuse
@Vegan M
There's 8 billion non vegans " most people " lol
@Vegan M
The animals In my stomach are dead that's for sure
@@veganm8918
What abuse ?
Thanks for the content as always, Ed.
Do you know what the worst thing is.. this greenwashing works with most people. It's exactly what they wanna hear.
Great work Ed! Always love seeing a new video pop up.💚
always good to see a new video from you Ed, keep it up!
Exposure exposure exposure! 🙏🏻
I love your work Ed, commenting for the algorithm
The billion chickens slaughtered every year for kfc alone are grateful for the algorithm 😂😂
Seconded.
Love this new, slightly more aggressive approach to content from you, keep up the fantastic stuff
It’s awesome seeing this direct unfiltered approach from Ed! 👏
Thank you Ed for your awesome work
Thank you ❤
I wish I was as convincing as you, but I constantly fail in discussions about veganism. I feel like everyone is pissed off by me.
You have a right to be Vegan, but to force your beliefs on others who used to have Pork chops 🥩🍖🥩🐖 for dinner is wrong
@@donolonisa5787 That's true. Timing is key. I don't want to force my beliefs on others. I only want to reduce the suffering of animals.
You don't fail, it's basically that nonvegans don't like being told about the suffering they effortlessly inflict on animals, so, many of them instead project that self-hatred and doubt on vegans: if vegans are *insert maligning lie about vegans here* then people can ignore animal abuse because of "bad" vegans. A pissed-off non/antivegan means they're bothered by vegans who limit harm. So thank YOU.
@@donolonisa5787 So you're vegan? You've been forced to be vegan? Did you know that trillions of animals are forcibly killed yearly, globally, by people who eat them and that I am "forced" to witness the result of their suffering in stores, education, govt, religion, entertainment, commerce, etcetcetc? Imagine thinking that minimizing animal suffering is "wrong".
@@nias3202 Yes reduce it, yes that's the goal, but that doesn't stop the flow of Pork chops 🥩🍖🥩🥩🍖🥩🐖 to my plate, because we domesticated pigs for our consumption
I LOVE how you approach all of these horrific lies! I appreciate you
thanks for what you're doing!! I'm so glad more and more people like you are around!!!!
Vegan 3 year's now Ed! Thanks to you and Joey C !✌️✌️👏♥️♥️♥️
You are just the best Ed! Thank you 💚🌱
Thank you, Ed, for your passion and motivation. Posted your vid on FB
I am sorry I couldn't make it until the end. Thank you Ed, you are a Blessing. ❤
Ed is there a way to get your audiobook that doesn't involve giving money to Amazon or Apple?
I'm not religious whatsoever, but you, Ed, are a godsend!
Thank you for always been scathingly consistent and honest. Love you, Ed.
Those dairy farmers aren’t in tune musically or in tune with reality.
Hey what's going on with those vegan propaganda books? I ordered mine months ago and it still hasn't shipped
I’m here for the (totally justified) sass 😋🌱💖
Very well done Ed. Keep it up. You are a gift to the world.
A PARTICULARLY stellar takedown. Ed wipes the floor with the dairy industry.
