Not making fun, just chuckling because it always catches me off guard.
My new rifle has a chassis with an ARCA rail... I bought a bipod for it, but I like the 3 footed monster. Hope to see it in use some more... Might have to do some shopping later. 😉

Be carefull shooting off the hood/bonnet that you don't crack your windshield from the muzzleblast. I broke a tail light shooting off the tailgate of my pickup because of the muzzle blast. Put a sheet of paper between the magnets and any painted surface to prevent scratches too

This is very interesting! Just a couple of months ago, I attached a 54mm ball head to my Caldwell Rock BR, and it has changed my shooting experience!
It is rock steady, and I can lock it down completely if needed. Also, having the option for either feet or spikes, it's quite versitile. Guess I should have patented it.

As a caution, and not knowing the laws there, here in the U.S. in some states, Fish & Wildlife departments could interpret this as “shooting / hunting from a motor vehicle” and prosecute a individual how ever unreasonably. This is more then a supposition, as I’ve seen it happen first hand.
My self, I’ve done a similar modification with a SEB rest. Works well as long as you limit the level of recoil you subject it to.

That is a pretty good shooting platform. Would you ever consider making then with an optional heavy duty rubber were you could use it off of a bench. Seems pretty stable especially with those magnets.

A Game Warden pulled up and summoned us back to the truck and requested our licenses & ID’s. My friend set his loaded rifle on the tailgate of his truck, in order to to get out his license & ID. The Warden then wrote him a summons for, “possessing loaded firearm in a motor vehicle”. And no, it was not dismissed, in court.

You are deff into everything. Nice. Big boy cars can't use it, though, as the cars are made of fiberglass for weight reduction. I know you know that. I could be wrong and it be plexiglass. Race cares would be carbon fiber. (some) .

I've seen someone using the "Stable Cam" setup that you wear. Thought that was pretty impressive, although cumbersome, it did a fine job with the recoil of a full auto rifle. Guess the idea came from the movie Aliens or Terminator!
