    I test drove almost all luxury and near-luxury SUVs in the market. The RDX is the only vehicle that I liked for its handling. Its interior is exceptional value for money too. Before test driving the RDX, I thought I liked the Lexus NX the most and was ready to purchase, but now RDX is on the top of my list. RDX feels more lively, zippy, not boring. It felt like it is a driver's car, it allows you to feel connected to the road and derive enjoyment from driving.

    Acura is making us wait for the redesign of the RDX longer than necessary. The competition is not slowing down. It is time for the RDX Type S. The only question would be what engine would they use??? The 2.0T is already standard on that platform… 3.5 naturally aspirated? 👍👎 Um… there’s no way they would put a 3.5 TT on that frame 🦖lmao. Just having fun lol. Long time Acura fan. I owned a CL9. Miss my baby 😢.

    I'm looking for a SUV, its between the RDX A-SPEC, BMW X3 M40i and the Lexus NX 350h, having a hard time deciding but I'm assuming from all the reviews so far the smart man who wants some reliability and a little fun would take the RDX... arggggh.

    • @robertj7834
      @robertj7834 2 месяца назад

      If you are going to lease and get into a new model in a couple of years then the BMW X3 M40i is my preferred vehicle. If you are going to buy and keep, then it's the Acura RDX. The Lexus NX 350h, for me, doesn't have the driving fun factor of those 2.

    I took a black on black A-Spec Advance for a test drive recently and really liked it. But, Acura didn’t get my sale because of the all red gauges, which I found difficult to look at, at night. I also didn’t like how there’s no spare, but would have been willing to add that after the fact. Why Acura didn’t maintain the same gauge design language as with the rest of their models and trim levels is a mystery to me, and a fail.

    • @10tenman10
      @10tenman10 Месяц назад

      I looked at a 2024 RDX yesterday. While I didn't actually look the salesman said the spare is under the lower body in back. I did see a jack so it was likely there. As for the red lighting I suspect it was in sport mode. I like it although the gas mileage is a bit on the low side for a 4 cylinder 2L engine. The Technology Package seems to be the value spot.

    • @bc67
      @bc67 Месяц назад

      @@10tenman10 There’s no spare out of the factory with the A-Spec trim level and I would love for what you said about the red gauges and sport mode to be true, but I don’t think that’s the case. Which trim level was the salesman referring to?

      You're right - had a rental 2023 X1 for two weeks earlier this year while the RDX was in the bodyshop. The BMW did not even come close to winning me over. The interior was bland with a bunch of cheap plastic panelling I'd expect from a Kia, the ride quality wasn't as good as the RDX, the seats were more uncomfortable, and it just felt heavy and sluggish compared to the easy driving of the RDX. Nothing about the BMW really spoke "luxury" despite the higher price point and maintenance costs - Switching back to the RDX I'd felt like I'd upgraded in every way - BMW? I don't get it...

    • @beb1527
      @beb1527 8 месяцев назад

      I don’t know that the x1 is in the same class. You can compare it to the X3. The x3 will be all new in summer ‘24 though. We lease a ‘21 TLX tech SH-AWD. The infotainment system is buggy and not intuitive. There is too much road noise for a luxury car. Still haven’t gotten used to the shifter controls. Those are my only complaints. Have had RDX’s and MDX’s as loaners. The MDX was acceptable. We probably will get the X3 next spring when the lease is up unless Mazda comes out with a CX-70 and it blows us away
