My 2020 RDX Tech Package SH-AWD is probably my favorite car I’ve ever owned (I’m 70 years old). REALLY fun to drive, good acceleration, solid predictable handling, GREAT in the snow especially when fitted with snow tires. Fuel economy is ok, not super but if I can keep the speed down and my foot out of the boost, I can SQUEEZE it to get 29-30 mpg on a highway road trip. Roomy interior, very comfortable seats good visibility. My only complaints is a fair amount of road noise (my 2024 Ridgeline is quieter) and rattles in the cargo area. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 👍👍
@@curseknight5 no I do not the 21 a-spec doesn't have it equipped i think the aspec advance has it. I test drove one and really couldn't tell the difference.
I bought a brand new 2019 RDX A-Spec and still loving it with 34k miles. It is well maintained and immaculate. I do have the infotainment issues with the MOST bus adapter. Dealer fixed but I still get the problem once in a while. A three-button press and reboot fixed it most of the time. Acura update the warranty to 8 years or 80k miles warranty. I might take it to the dealer to fix it again. Besides the first gen had problems which was addressed and fixed by Acura via TSBs and under warranty. As long as the owner takes care of the car the RDX is extremely reliable. It will last me many years and miles. I do all maintenances myself.
This was an issue with my used 2019 Advance, which was resolved with three visits to the dealer. Acura covered this repair completely. It was tricky to sort, as there are several connection locations that could be involved.
I enjoyed watching your video on the acura rdx every things you mentioned it 100% true I owned a 2021 I love my acura but I expected a much better profarmance I was hoping acura would come out with a type-s RDX with more horse power and higher torque at lower RPM. Look at. Mazda cx50/cx5 turbo or lexus nx350 as 317/ 320 foot pound of torque.i am thinking of replacing my RDX with lexus NX350 or mazda I will do my test drive first your comments stay safe.
Go with the Lexus if you do switch. Mazda is a Ford brand. That's everything you need to know. Lol. Unless price is a factor. But I wouldn't get a Mazda!
Your working off really old info. And ford never owned them out right. They owned 33% of mazda and did alot of joint ventures. So it was like a combo of mazda and ford cars@treboruff9258
Great, great information here. But I absolutely would avoid the first couple of years of this generation; there are serious potential very costly issues and headaches. Also how about transmission issues? They were notorious too, so much so it jeopardized seriously Acura's reputation.
Looking around for our second vehicle and we like the RDX, but 22 MPG IS SUPER UNACCEPTABLE. All the reviews we’ve seen has people saying 22 real world. 😭
I would buy the RDX but they need to go to touchscreen and start listening to their customers and reviewers who have been saying to make this simple change for years now! Also their ten speed doesn't improve fuel economy! It has same mpg as much more powerful and heavier x3 m40i in real world testing!
Absolute junk do not buy Acura my wife’s 2019 Acura RDX just had the brakes fail while driving. Towed it to the dealership has a defective electronic brake booster just out of warranty. They want us to pay $3000 for this problem that should never have occurred.
I can't get enough of my 2023 RDX A-Spec... what an amazing experience to drive this Acura, it's a compact SUV that thinks its a sports car!

Also check for creaking noise from the lower control arms in cold weather on the 2019 to 2020 models. Noise only happens in cold weather.
Love my 21 aspec rdx
do you have the adaptive dampers? I wonder if it feels more comfortable than my 2020 a spec

ah then i would pick the a spec again just for the blacked out look :)@@redhulkultra155
2022 Lighting is AMAZING, Especially That High Beam Spotlight. 👍🏽👍🏽❗️
What I like is there’s not much of a difference in looks in and out between 2019-24😊. Unlike Lexus NX
Forgot to mention Audio system problem with MOST network FAKRA connector or harness for RDX

You can’t be serious. One has a 10 speed automatic transmission and drives like a sports sedan and the other is grandma’s suv.😊
Pls do a video on used Acura MDX latest gen!

I'm not a fan of the 4 cyl turbo. that's why i bough the last year of the v6. love my 2018 rdx.
Where did you buy yours? Had any issues with it? What trim?
I want to buy a RDX with the v6 but I love the grill and look of the newer models
A front swap should solve the problem ..my 0.02😊@@mattypuddingfingers6562

The brakes work just fine without the booster. If you can’t stop it quickly with the manual brakes you have no business driving a car.
@EchoAccordbutt hurt
You had one problem, so it's junk. Suspicious. I came from a rust bucket French bowtie Chevrolet family,, talk about unreliable junk!
You people obviously don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. It’s electronic booster the control unit failed. You think I’m making it up.
