    I love fighting games and travelled the world to play them competitively for 14+ years now. The genre is so rewarding, but very hard to pick up, so new players easily get frustrated. I'm so glad that SF6 manages to hook players unfamiliar with the genre and give them a space to learn the ropes without having them figure everything out themselves in Training Mode. See you in the Battle Hub!

    He's not wrong in that this is a fantastic way for newcomers to learn Fighting Games 101 without having to sit on that boring ass grid screen, beating up on a dummy.
    There a board-breaking mini-game that teaches you how to aim your attacks at specific heights. The basketball one teaches you all about the Parry mechanic. There's "cooking minigame" you do for in-game money that challenges you to learn and perform motion inputs. Busting up the truck (again for money) is a great way to practice combos and gives you chance to figure out ways to deal big damage in a short time frame. There's others, I'm sure, but those are just the ones I've seen or heard about.
    Smart move by Capcom to start things off real basic - no Drive moves and a couple of special moves from Luke - and slowly add pieces until you're the most broken hybrid Street Fighter monstrosity ever to roam the streets and beat ass.

    The SF6 devs said something really interesting in that they wanted to make going online and playing against actual people to be the "end game" of the singleplayer content. I'm the type that wants to hop into ranked day one but I hope that there is enough here for people to accidentally discover that they actually really want to use the mechanics against a real person and we'll see more people online

      @Betty white Sounds like someone didn't play the minigames. Those actually teach you the basics of fighting games. The board breaking minigame teaches you about striking at different angles. The pizza minigame teaches you motion inputs. There are others but I haven't reach that one yet. So you saying that it doesn't teach you the fundamentals are utter bullshit.

    • @KodexKat
      @KodexKat Год назад +2

      @Betty white 1. You can change the controls to classic so saying you’re just pressing 1 button and easily getting through the game is a dumb excuse.
      2. The side quest involving Alice and her siblings LITERALLY teaches you about the high lv inputs and concepts of the fighting game genre.
      3. The game has a huge difficulty curve considering that you end up needing to fight npc that’s are 25+ lvs higher than you just to progress and not to mention your stats just being lower due to the lack of completing your skill tree.
      Overall it seems you either didn’t play the game fully or is just finding some way to complain but you look silly saying you and your child find the game easy and boring. If you don’t pay attention to the story then just say that but I for one think the over the top narrative story being about an act of terrorism mixed in with martial arts tying in bison from the og story was a really good experience. But who knows maybe you’re boring idk man🤷🏾‍♂️

I'm glad street fighter 6 got you past this genres high skill floor and I hope you play more multiplayer, this genre has so many deep mechanics and interesting systems that only really work with human opponents

    Nice! Im just like you when it comes to Fighting game; Garbage Tier and having played the demo, SF6 really is captivating. I mean it has Create Your Own Character, a story mode for said character, outfits to buy and wear, etc. etc. I'm a sucker if a game has these features.

  • @fridayafternoons1

    the multiplayer is very very fun. going into the battle hub when you walk around and see other people on the arcade cabinets there is a symbol next to their name that shows you are of a similar skill level. this allows you to find people to play many games with and not have it be completely one sided.
    In regards to the fighting system, the addition of the drive system is an insanely huge upgrade when compared to both street fighter IV's focus and FADC systems and Street Fighter V's well V systems. It ups the power of every character but also creates some wildly interesting and tense tug of war type fights. targeting their drive bar when they're low to force them into burnout, taking some space to rebuild your drive bar while hoping they don't push in negating that. the Drive system adds such an insane layer to the combat.

    I love the weird single-player rpg mode in Soul Calibur 3 and the later cinematic modes in Mortal Kombat/Injustice but don't play pvp. So having a single player rpg mode in Street Fighter is the thing I have been excited for. Glad to hear it will have more added through the character dlcs.

    Imo sf6 is by far the best game in the series, I have been playing sf games since sf2 (yes I am that old) and sf6 feels fresh yet familiar, the drive mechanics really improve the gameplay and set the skill ceiling higher that in previous game but that does not means that it is a game only for pro players, anyone can play it even online, the modern controls give everyone a chance to enjoy the game. The world tour is that kind of things that when you look someone playing it, it can look dull and boring, but Playing it is actually very fun and addictive, the story is very light hearted but is not bad and you can learn a lot about the main characters if you spend the time, the game gives any and every chance to you to test all the game mechanics in all situations to ensure that by the end of the world tour you understand all the basics, of the game, it is like intensive training mode that is very fun. Like I say sf6 is by far the best sf game in the series and (imo) the greatest fighting game that have been created up to this point.

    Capcom is doing everything they can to fix their mistakes with SF V.
    SF V was the opposite of SF VI. The game was launched without a story mode and arcade mode. If you're a casual who just want to play against CPU or experiencing the story, well too bad. Your only option at SF V launch was online matches. Easy to see why it was a flop at launch.
    SF VI is loaded with single player content, similar to MK or Injustice, which is a much easier sell to casual players.

    What I hate about this mode is that you can't copy a moveset completely.
    The system in place makes it so that you aren't allowed to use 2 special moves with the same directional input, even if one is a kick and another one a punch.
    You can't even equip both the forward and the backward teleport from "Dhalsim".
    I really REALLY hate that nonsense, since that mode was meant to be (at least fo me) a training ground to learn a specific moveset.
    But I can't do that without gimping myself.

    My only issue is it gets grindy and if you’re not into those type of grindy games like Yakuza it’s very easy to get frustrated because you can encounter a fight that must be completed for main story progression but be 3-5 levels below the opponent and just not be able to beat them. Also the best part of this mode is the interactions you have with the masters, you get to see sides of them you’ve never seen before and it’s great but sometimes I just want that not fighting, and yes I get it it’s a fighting game but in this mode you fight so many generic npcs at some point you’re just gonna wanna go from point A to point B to see what Ken will say if I give him this gift but instead as you’re running to see him you get punched in the back of the head and have to fight and it just gets annoying sometimes. Aside from that though the modes super fun and in the future if they peel back the grind just a bit, put maybe a more MK level written story around it, this mode could damn near sell as a small game itself.

    • @JohnDoe-pt7ru
      @JohnDoe-pt7ru Год назад

      Yakuza isn't even grindy, though. You don't have to worry about equipment since the buffs are very small.

      If you can’t beat opponents in world tour, you can use energy drinks to heal. In all seller shops they have the small one which restores 10k health points. The cheapest place to get them is from seller dora in the old nayshall slum. They are priced at 5000 zenny (or 3500 with the buff for making general store stuff cheaper enabled on the skill tree in the status app). The fastest way to get zenny that I’ve come up with is to do the metro city scrapyard truck game. My method is to do the hardest setting and do marisa’s phalanx and gladuis (with hard punch) alternately. Then when the clock has the chain on it i do ryu’s shinku hadoken then his shin hashogeki then 2 lots of phalanx and gladius then a hard punch. I use ryu’s style. I do this by 80 seconds on the clock. This gives me 19640 zenny. After doing this for a while i buy the most small energy drinks i can. Currently i have 780 of them. I had a bit over 900 of them but then i did 2 of the fighty mighty side quest fights and whenever I lost over half my health i topped my health to full with the drinks. Hope this helps.

    World tour does everything a fighting game and an rpg never should. The level and damage scaling of the ai combatants are insane. With them doing the same moves as you but for some reason doing double damage.
    Like chun lis kicks for me they do 700 damage for the ai it does 900+ this is a constant for the game the ai is so dumb that if they had anything less they would be easy. I'm someone who is considered good at fighting games and my friend say that I am okay at fighting games as well.
    On top of that every person you encounter above your level by 1 they have 5000 more hp than you
    I find this unfair and bullshit it should not feel impossible for someone like me to beat a generic ai opponent who is 2 levels above me.
    I legit do not care about the stupid rpg mechanics but even then the items that you consume are not easy to find especially health boosts. I have to waste hundreds of tickets just to restock the shops and find energy drinks or just constantly grind for them. The continues are also your respecs and limited if you accidentally don't click start in time you have to either restart and if your in a tournament fight all the way through again every fight. Or spend a respec point. I had confidence in my skill I've played fighting game consistently for years but when I'm forced to get 3x the hits on every opponent to win it feels cheap, unfair and unfun.
    Oh and because they do 3x damage if you use all of your consumables your pretty much forced to continue at that point cause their is no save system to save before a battle it entirely done through auto save.

    It's really not as great as some people make it out to be. But it's a pretty cool addition to the game. But the world is just a bunch of shell buildings and the maps are small, you're constantly harassed by thugs in a Mister Shakedown from Yakuza / Pokemon style system. And the clothes and gear you can buy are ridiculously overpriced to incentivize grinding and real world microtransactions in the store for people who like customization. But we since it a pass because we haven't really seen anything like this in a fighting game, save for smaller experimental modes in Mortal Kombat and Tekken bonus rounds.

But hearing its the same ol BP model with free & premium paths.. Yeah. Doesnt look great.
      At best, all we can hope for is that despite the possibility of it going as per above, the BP rewards like skins are still purchaseable independently at a price thats hopefully not too inflated. I really like that Capcom tries new things and i will sure to buy this on day one. My only wish now is that when and if they make a Street Fighter 7 in the future they make it a darker and more serious one, don't particularly like the funky and jazzy/ Splatoon vibes it generates, nothing wrong with it, its just not my cup of tea 😅

    1st: the graphics in this game are inexcusable. Not even as good as MK10. 2cnd: still full of 30 year old boring characters that need to be retired. 3rd: this is just a mashup of sf4 & sf3, nothing new to the combat except this lame dash that will put you in burnout mode pretty quick. They should have not ditched V system at all. & Finally; they missed a huge opportunity with world tour to play as the regular characters & earn NEW MOVES & make different loadouts for the characters in the real game. Since you can't use anything from world tour to add some type of customization to the characters in main game it's just a waste of time that looks horrible. Love this channel but disagree with this particular analysis. & def don't buy this at full price since they're going to have non stop "seasons" to make you pay way more than the price of a regular full price game.

      mk is literary the same wash up old characters as well Sonya ,scorpion ,sub zero 3 washed up seketors. Johnny cage should've been dead along time ago but got his nuts snipped and still had cass ... and surprised ..why did mk go back to MK1 style after the 11 (for this 2023 winter release)...its the same drawing board streetfighter did except sf went MK Armageddon and did it right....look i know u like your bloody games so just wait till winter to re-buy mortal Kombat 1 but now all other 11 game characters added to it.. If u watch the capcom channel world tour is going to continue to expand as more dlcs come out which btw...you dont have to buy (so zinger on that)meaning you can test dlc character moves on your avatar before thinking about getting the dlc itself (One of the devs slipped up during their q and a and said it) unlike mk that basically shows u a showcase ,no test and forces you to buy SKINS.....nice concept you got there but ..unfortunately u are taking a Fatality on this one (I will be getting Streetfighter 6 , Tekken 8 and Mortal kombat 1 remake so sorry for that its still worth the basic price of 60 bucks

      @@seancouger007 I do NOT like bloody games & did not start playing MK till X because I was intersted in the variation system, so don't assume things about me. I have been an SF loyalist my whole life, I literally used to have to walk a mile & climb a fence to play SSF2 Turbo @ 7-11-plus I still have SF X Tekken & who the heck still plays that? Pretty sure just me. & you're wrong about MK having the same old characters because MK has added so many moves to the characters & given you so much custom loadout control that the characters do not play the same as they used to. Whereas SF ditching V system has taken any type of customization completely away from the characters & has added very little to the same old characters; in fact the only things they've "added" is mostly what was in 5 but just took away the gauge for those moves, dumbing down the combat mechanics. & as far as MK1 is concerned I heard they're taking out variations so I might skip that too. Everything is getting dumbed down & rehashed & I don't know why other people can't see that but I'm not taking a fatality on anything because I won't be spending my money on repackaged old crap.

    No, it's not worth it. World Tour has so many issues: The story itself is very lacking and some of the characters don't even have any relation to the story at all. Also the overworld abilities are nonsensical and out-of-place. The voice acting is lacking as a large portion of the cutscenes only have voice bits, and the fact that there are only two large areas for actual exploration makes the free-roaming very limiting. On top of the fact that since there are only 18 chars in the roster, Arcade is also too short since you don't have enough chars to get endings for. SF6 single player is still very lacking, it's not worth it even with the multiplayer content, let alone just the single player content.

    • @wolfman210
      @wolfman210 Год назад

      TBH It looks like what Xenoverse does which is fine for a CAC focused spinoff but absolutely terrible for the next mainline part of the story.
      World Tour is fine if it's intended as a prologue or side story to the main plot.
      If our OC is the one that stops JP instead of Luke or Ken it's over.
      But even if it's not the main plot I'll still be saltly the main roster just gets arcade prologues and endings instead of a full story mode like Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur do.
      I'll just have to hope an actual story mode is coming later like SFV did.

    • @RoyArkon
      @RoyArkon Год назад +1

      @@wolfman210 Actually Soul Calibur 6 has both Soul Chronicle (a story that focuses on the roster and does have an arching plot with a proper ending) and Libra of Souls (a story mode that focuses on OC just like SF6's World Tour). And the crazy part is that SC6's story in both modes is actually very good and the voice acting is great, but both modes lacked cinematic cutscenes which also hurt the voice acting in LOS mode (and that mode in particular had instead voiceless dialogue which was terrible), while SF6 does have a much better visual presentation, but both the story and the voice acting are lackluster.
      Mortal Kombat however excels in all of those areas: story, voice acting and presentation.
      And honestly, I really feel like World Tour mode is unnecessary. In fact, they could've just cut out that mode completely, put the CAC mode just for Battle Hub without going through all of these story missions just to customize your CAC, and it would've been be much better.

    • @wolfman210
      @wolfman210 Год назад +2

      @@RoyArkon Well I'm okay with World Tour myself as long as it's not the main story of SF6.
      If it's a prologue or side story for a CAC while Arcade mode covers the actual story for the game, then I'm cool.
      A little ticked that Capcom won't give SF a full-on narrative story for its cast like NRS does but I just don't want an oc stealing the spotlight from the real characters.

    Final stages of world tour, enemies are absolute damage sponges with tons of mulitple bars of HP while they murder you in a few hits even if upgraded gear and overleveled. Then the pvp zone, it isnt neutral stats. Instead is your avatar same current level against other's avatar, so highest level often wins, even if skilled, higher level player is a dmg sponge. zero level scaling all rpg stats from world tour stay, weird they overlooked that.
