I agree 💯! I haven't been this excited for a game release in decades. From hours of playing the demo and open beta this is already in my top 5 fighting games. I have no doubt it can be number 1 when I play the full version for a few days. Capcom is on a roll!
The only thing holding me back is knowing down the road Capcom will release a version with all the extra content from between now and then, and I already have a ton of stuff to play.
Great game hoping this brings back more fighting games, would be happy if they did a marvel Vs capcom style game but just with capcom characters so they get free reign
Hell yeah! Something like a Capcom Tag Battle or something, no paying third parties for their IPs, or hell even get Arc Systems to design it, they've been knocking it out of the park with all their anime fighters.
i’m someone who has never really played a street fighter game. i cannot put this down. haven’t even touched the battle hub or world tour yet. playing classic controls on a ps5 dpad, the specials seemed impossible at first but they’re not bad for me now after only a few hours
Capcom once again proving they’re one of the best gaming companies right now, might even be the best third party company. I have very high hopes for Dragons Dogma 2.
You can queue for rank or casual from the starting menus. You do not have to go to the battle hub at all if you don’t want to. Or while in the battle hub you can also queue while not having to sit at a machine.
Capcom has been rocking the industry at the moment. Every game has been absolutely fantastic, and would you believe it, releasing games that people want has actually led to them having one of their best financial years over the past decade. Keep on wrecking the competition Capcom because damn, you lookin' good!
Capcom has not only been killing it with the RE games, but wow, I love what they did here in SF6. The RE Engine is amazing in character details and backgrounds look like something that should be in a Disney Movie. Love Capcom!!
Yes thank you for acknowledging SF5 as the pos it is, seeing how amazing and hype the sf4 community was for years for it all to fall flat on its face with SF5 was truly tragic
Shitbox fans are so funny, literal best sf in any/every way before 6, idk what happened at launch in 2016 but goddamn that was a long time ago! Check the game or stfu about sfv
I don't understand why they cant make a solid and enjoyable campaign like WB games does. Make it a complete experience. Some people aren't hardcore fighting games players and enjoy the lore and good storytelling.
Theres world tour and arcade story along with a full FIGHTING game. It is a full experience. If you wanna play a 12 hour movie and wait 2 years for the next game to come out MK1 comes out in a few months.
Can you use your custom character in arcade mode? Can you use your custom character to fight someone online or is it just available for the solo campaign?
I'm noticing a trend among reviewers. Reviewers have become afraid to candidly discuss comparisons between the different platform versions of this game and others. I could care less about the hurt feelings and fanboy rage of Dorks who snuggle with their platform of choice. I've played the Demo and Open Beta on Series X, Series S, PS5, PC and Steam Deck. I own all of these platforms. The best version is the PC. It has the best image quality, color saturation and runs a full 60fps in World Tour Mode @4k. To be fair, my PC machines are equipped with a 4090 and 3090 respectively. No jaggies whatsoever. The Series X and PS5 have differences. The color saturation and contrast are night and day between both versions. I compared both consoles on my LGC2 Oleds. I also adjusted the HDR on both platforms. The Series X lack contrast and the colors are not as vibrant as they are on PS5. The Series X does present a cleaner, less jaggied image when compared to the PS5 in World Tour Mode. In the standard fighting game mode the PS5 has deeper blacks and vibrant colors but the picture has a noisy tone to it. The Series X has a less noisy tone but the black levels, contrast and colors are lacking when compared to PS5. I'm not exactly 100% on this but it seems that the camera may POSSIBLY be zoomed in more on the Series X. For some reason the characters seem to be a hair larger on the Series X but a second set of eyes needs to confirm this. I also tried Dolby Vision on the Series X and it was kind of blah. Not worth the latency. The picture still lacked contrast and vibrant colors but the image is a little bit cleaner on the Series X. When it comes to the controller this is no comparison. The PS5 controller feels far more comfortable, and it responds better than the clicky Series X controller. PS5 has the controller advantage hands down. It's not even close. If you're playing with an Arcade stick or Fight Pad then you will be ok regardless. As for the Steam Deck and Series S. I'm just happy to see the game ported to both platforms. Less details but both play fine. I'm sure Ryu's beard with be patched for Series S very soon. If you have the Series X and a PS5 but cannot decide which version...........The PS5 edges the win between the two due to the controller. The cleaner less jaggied picture goes to the Series X but it has less colors. I would suggest that Series X owners purchase an Arcade Stick or Fight Pad. PS5 owners can do this as well but it is not as necessary as it is with Microsoft's platform. Overall dominating performance and image quality goes to the PC if you have the proper hardware.
The better controller is subjective. What might be better to you might not be better for someone else. I personally hate the PS controller, and my hands fit the xbox controller much better.
A big swing and a miss. And now I'm hearing you need to put hours into it to unlock the classic costumes unless you pay for them. Guess I'm gonna have to pony up the $29.99 for a costume pack. Like with SFV
I’m admittedly not the biggest SF fan but want to check 6 out bc it does legitimately look fun. And some of the things that it’s getting the most price for those are actually my biggest concerns… We’ve long talked about long loading screens and wasting time in the menus instead of just fighting and it seems like SF6 adds additional steps instead of just letting you fight people continuously without going through so many menus. Do I really need to back out to go to the character select then find a machine and sit down and go through that process again? It might seem fun at first but I feel like that’s a mechanic that will get really really old really quick. I’m also not a huge fan of the modern control systems which just gives me the vibe of the half way point between actually learning a fighting game and getting good and feeling good about it and MK11’s AI battles 😂 I know it’s not quite the computer completely taking over your control but my God it does a lot for you and I don’t know if it helps you get better at the game so I feel like they are trying too hard to appeal to a casual audience and I’m not sure if that’s going to blow up in their face as it often does because casuals don’t necessarily care about that as much as they care about the single player stuff which I’m glad they finally added in. Hoping I’m wrong about those concerns though because I want it to be fun
The lobby is optional and the modern controls are available for use in single player which will appeal to casuals which will bring more sales to the game. Which means more support and relevance for street fighter.
Ok .🙄 So ..there's a lot going on here with little to no insight. Haven't played it but yikes ...go off. That ain't it Chief 😭. There's 3 control modes. Pick 1.

@@chrisg8820 They don't. Have you not see street fighter 6 tournament? Try use that against someone with classic control. AND it doesn't matter since you have to know how to read frames and whatnot. So no, modern control get their ass whoop if they can't read frames.

Can’t decide between PS5 or XBOX Series X, but I have 2 controllers for my Xbox and one for the PS5, so I think maybe that answers that. Anyone gave any console or controller specific thoughts?
I can help with this answer. I got it on Xbox. Controls depends on if you like the modern or classic 6 button control. Depending on what mode you pick, can drastically change how you play on controller
Classic you will have to know how to hit your button input or roll your analog to mimic the button inputs. Modern controls will have you playing similar to smash brothers were your specials are mapped to one single button and change based on if you hit a directional button with that special button.

i used to go to one of those nickel and dime arcades back in the 90s when i was a kid, and i remember street fighter 1 was playable on arcade there in the very back, FOR FREE...there is a reason why SF1 isnt talked about...cause it sucks LMFAO
Don't read too hard into world tour mode. It's a mere distraction.
I love blazblue but the story mode is a visual novel with some fights. It has a great narrative but I want to fight in my fighting games not read lol MK seems like the better example
Indeed
😂😂😂😂 read lol
