I'm shocked they aren't making the war or even the Mandalorian Jedi into an anthology movie. I mean a Jedi that dresses like Boba Fett and has a special Black Lightsaber. I mean that just screams most marketable toy ever.

I found it hilarious that Kanan mocked Sabine because the Jedi won the war against the Mandalorians. I immediately thought of Legends and Revan, where the Republic and Jedi only won due to said Jedi disobeying the Jedi Council. Not sure Kanan should give the Jedi Order itself the credit for that
History would probably remember it differently. Remember that medal ceremony at the end of Kotor? That was likely a gesture of "look, here is the greatest example or our Order and its ideals! The Prodigal Knght!", making the Jedi as a whole seem like heroes and not just Revan and his companion's actions.

Because the last time I checked the Disney canon, the Mandalorian War that involved the raiding of Jedi Temple coincided with the canon last Jedi-Sith war and the Dark Age, so it is safe to assume that the Jedi fought both the Sith and the Mandos, the latter two allied with each other.

It would be great to see the next show (after Rebels) be like The Clone Wars, where the story jumps around in time (back and forth), but it takes place throughout the entire Star Wars timeline. It would probably be a bit too ambitious, but still it would be cool to see

love the hints towards mandalore war. But i got real excited over the hint of old republic in clone wars. "there have not been battles like these since the days of the old republic" - Saesee Tiin "Indeed" - Plo Koon. they need to do something about KOTOR and mandalore war. movies or series, atleast something.
I honestly don't understand that quote. The war had been going on for well over a year with countless other battles taking place across different fronts. And yet it was in *this* battle that was more like the Old Republic than the others? We've even seen examples of those battles in TCW. What made that one battle stand out from so many of the others?
"battles like THESE" Saesee meant the Clone Wars in general, it's just that he emphasized the one they were currently at.

Episode 1: The War with Manadlore
Episode 2: Everything up until Bastilla defeats Revan
Episode 3: KOTOR Storyline
what I think about Snoke's black kyber crystal ring, I think it's the darksaber crystal and what it means? well back in time, Tarre Viszla who is both Mandalorian and Jedi wants to learn various aspects of the Force and use his knowledge to stop the Mandalorian war, in his search for balance, he finds a corrupted kyber crystal and studies it, he meditates on and allows the will of the Force to give it a colour rather than picking it himself which is what Force users do when creating a lightsaber, but his crystal gave a black one and he used it to make the darksaber, later on he dies, so the Sith (either Bane or Valkorion) creates more conflict within the galaxy to recreate the Mandalorian war in order to get that saber, stuff continue, the Mand'alor always has the crystal, until we get to Rebels, Bo Katan has the darksaber, but during a battle which may be shown in a comic and not Rebels, her darksaber gets destroyed, probably by Boba Fett, he gets the black crystal and gives it to the Emperor, the plans of studying that crystal are left on Scarif as project blacksaber, after the fall of the Empire, Snoke gets it and uses its corrupted power to do the opposite of a Grey Jedi, reversing the Force, becoming an anti Force like Revan, Treya, Valkorion, but is possibly one of them, he can easily be Valkorion or Bane or Plagueis through essence transfer and immortality

Jemi Johnson in legends doesn't exist. Anything out out is canon apart from the old republic game. It would be canon if they did it

For the Q&A: What do you think the next animated Star Wars show will be about? Still the original movies era or maybe going back and actually have a show placed in the Mandalorian Wars? I would hope for completing The Clone Wars, but I know that won't be happening.
They really should do a live action old republic TV show to add to canon.
Any Old Republic content would be awesome, but I think a live action tv show would be the best, since a movie is probably too much to hope for..
I think if the heads of Star Wars say they are listening, I really hope the fans keep wanting Revan to be cannon and I'm hopeful that the people in charge decide to make an anthology film about Revan

Hey Alex, I've been wondering this for a long time. At the end of The Clone Wars episode "Dooku Captured", Anakin and Obi-Wan switch the drugged drinks given to them by the pirates with the drinks of the pirates sitting to each side of them. Those two pirates then collapse from the drugged drinks, but in the next episode (The Gungan General), Anakin and Obi-Wan are drugged and captured. Do you think this was an error by the show creators, do you just assume that they were later given drugs and it wasn't shown in the episode? By the way you're the best Star Wars channel on RUclips.

I think the malicor in rebels is the sight of the final battle between the Jedi and the dark brotherhood when Darth bane tricked the brotherhood leaders in to using a thought bomb that wiped out every one on both sides
(not counting Bane and his apprentice as this is how he started the rule of two)
3:10 In my head canon Malachor V (Like Yavin IV is to Yavin) used to be a moon of Malachor that eventually dissapeared (due to inestability) taking several other moons with it, leaving the system as we see it in Rebels.

You forgot to mention how Mandalore the Ultimate succeeded the Indomitable after the last Mandalorian war with the Republic.
To be clear there's a big difference between the Jedi Mandalorian War and the Mandalorian War. Two separate Wars separated by about four thousand years. The Mandalorian War I believe happens sometime before Clone Wars and the Jedi Mandalorian Wars(revan era) was 4000 years ago and was mentioned in the Mandalorian TV show by the blacksmith in season 1. That's not to be confused with the Mandalorian War That Boba Fett said his father fought in in Mandalorian season 2

Well in the context of The Old Republic Legends MMO, he's still alive, just frozen in carbonite in a deleted scene. Which is canon... canon to his history in Legends I mean.

The attack on Coruscant was during the Republic Dark Age/Last Jedi Sith War in canon.
not to be that guy but Mandalore was not approached by a sith lord. It was an emissary of the Eternal empire. They kinda become a huge deal later on. I mean, they're the ones who started this conflict and turn Revan and Malek, I just think they deserve more of a mention.
In Star Wars the Clone Wars, a Mandalorian Neo-Crusader helmet was seen in the Trandoshien hunting lounge.

This isn't directly related to the mandlorian wars, but is HK-47 in the new cannon? I know he was referenced in Aftermath Empire's End when Mr. Bones malfunctioned, as if he suddenly changed personalities, and started inquiring whether he should kill the "meatbags".

I think Admiral Akbar comment on Mandalore winning against the Republic and then taking the Darksaber implies that the Mandalorians destroyed the Old Republic. But then the Jedi subsequently defeated them. So it's A Mandalorian War not THE Mandalorian War. Also it wouldn't surprise me if Rian Johnsons New Trilogy is about the Fall of the Old Republic. So it's not exactly KoToR but using the Mandalorians in place of the Imperials would distinguish it from main trilogy.
What if Snoke is linked to the Mandalorian's?
cant help but feel like the mandalorians and snoke are some how connected. Kylo's mask looks so much like Revan's, the black crystal snoke apparently has could be from the dark saber, them slowly canonizing the mandalorian wars most recently with aftermath, also haven't confirmed it but i think read somewhere about someones armor in the force awakens being forged from a set of mandalorian armor (if i remember correct it was phasmas armor and supposedly boba fetts originally), the mandalorian flags at maz kanatas castle (although could just be because thats where the scoundrels hangout) but still. Idk just seems like theres something there, everyone says kylos mask was modeled after vaders but really they dont look much alike at all if you ask me, revans is way more similar. plus that would add an all new meaning to "I've seen the rise and fall of the empire", he literally could have seen everything leading up to that point. Im not an expert on all canon so there could be multiple things out there to contradict my theory that I don't know about but please share if you know of any canon to disprove this as even being possible.

If they did an Old Republic, Reven, Mandalorian focused series, what do you think it should be called?
Wouldn't it be really cool of a Star Wars series came out involving the Mandalorian Wars, that was very much like the "Clone Wars" series. And you get to see Reven and Malak at the beginning as decent people and good Jedi slowly fall to the dark side of the force just like Anakin. That would be epic.
I'm curious to see a timeline of how the mandalorian mythology unfolded. I know the term "Mandalorian" was first mentioned in Marvel comics in the 1980's but I don't know what came next. I know Jango Fett had a comic I think it was called Open season in the early 2000's. I've herd there are some novels? I know a lot of this comes from the video games KOTAR But how did this mythology unfold, and get retold?
But what about the Mandalorian *Civil* War. in Legends it was Jaster Mereels True Mandalorians vs Vizlas Deathwatch.

With The Old Republic era legends inspiring much of the new trilogy, I think it's only a matter of time. How cool would it be if a Mandelorian fleet showed up to help against the First Order. With much of the resistance/republic forces in tatters they are going to need fire power from somewhere.

In New Canon, Mandalorian War is a war between Vizsla and Old Republic. Revan, Malak don't exist in the Canon as till now. If Disney brings them back, their story will be completely different

Why didn't Darth Vader react to the knowledge Palpatine was the secret leader of the Separatists after forming the Galactic Empire? Even as a Sith Lord he would view that as treason against the then-Republic, now Empire, judging how Vader treated separatist hold-outs and the Geonosians. Why didn't he attempt an imperial coup?

The EU had many good stories, but overall it was a big mess of superweapons and overpowered characters. It was really anoying how everyone at some point would find out they were force sensitive and become super powerful. The new canon is opening a lot of space for regular relatable characters, and the new stories are well constructed, and the way everything comes together is just way better. I just wish people would take off their nostalgia goggles and see things as they really are, not putting old things on a pedestal just for being "classic" and not hating new things just for being new. But haters won't stop being haters I guess...

Random characters finding out their force sensitive then becoming super powerfull overpowering characters who had years of training in force powers and lightsaber combat, like Rey. Face it the New Cannon is all the stuff you said you hated about the old EU. We don't hate the New cannon because it is new. We dislike it because it is lower quality version of things we have already seen. Luke's jedi order is slaughtered by one of their own who fell to the darkside, like in episode 3. Ben solo/ kylo ren is just a discount Jacen Solo/ Darth Caedus. Starkiller base is death star three. Storm trooper defects from the empire and helps the rebels blow up the deathstar by knowledge of the lay out Kyle katarn? no It's Fin. Short old alien on a watery forest world teaches the protagonist about the force where they have a vision underground. Yoda? No it's Maz Kanata.
bleachmon1 but that's just the thing, one movie in the new canon represents the whole spirit of the EU, we don't need the thousand equal stories. Now look at everything else in the new canon that's really good and better thought out like the books and comics and Rebels. I will still choose all of this over the old mess of the EU. It's more organized and overall makes much more sense.

anyone else annoyed how SWTOR MMO changed the size of malak. In the original SWTOR malak is shown to be taller than revan in the flashbacks. Then you watch the history clips SWTOR MMO made and they made revan taller than malak. Really hate how that MMO destroyed Revans lore imo.
