Technically Grogu is the only cannon character to choose the mando life over the Jedi, but I though it would be cool to see either this character or one like them in The Mandalorian session 3. Have an episode where they explain lightsaber lore, talk about how joining a tribe where you never show any outsiders your face was a good way to hid from the empire, and show Din how to wield the Darksaber. It would be a good chance to expand on the different Mandalorian tribes too.

Well Mr. Wave it’s now been confirmed that the true Way of the Mandalore is accepting others through a creed not just being native born. It’s understandable that native born Mandalorians would make their own clans with others and eventually accepting those that aren’t native born so long as they accept the creed of honor, respect, war, and death. Quite similar to the Yaujta culture now that I think on it.

In the EU, there's also Bardan Jusik, Mandalorian Jedi Knight who served as a general of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He later left the Order because cloning human was against his moral principles.
"So how do we justify what we are doing now? Breeding men without choice, and without freedom, to fight and die for us? When do the means cease to justify the end? Where is our society heading? Where are our ideals, and what are we without them? If we give in to expedience in this way, where do we draw the line between ourselves and those we find unacceptably evil? I have no answer, Masters. Do you?"

An important note to make that most people don't understand is that Traviss, who wrote the Commando novels, never portrayed the Jedi as inherently evil; what she did was present the Jedi from an outsiders point of view. It just so happened that those outsiders were Mandalorians, whom had never been particularly friendly with the Jedi anyway. This inerplay between Mandalorians and Jedi was bound to be fractious, and Skirata gives good reasons for why.
On the other hand, in many other books we see the Jedi portrayed in a very positive light, and that's because our perspective in those stories sits firmly in the Jedi philosophy. I think one must look at both sides to learn the truth about both Mandalorians and Jedi, and most of that truth is going to fall somewhere in the middle of both side's perceptions of each other.

I think that is a great topic that could be explored is how all the Jedi felt about clone troopers and how they’re used in combat.
Bardan really does ask a very good question to the Jedi council on how they justify using clones that have no choice in what they do or what orders to follow or anything. It does seem like something that should go against what the Jedi stand for as a whole.

I think it's fascinating that we're seeing an important legends storyline coming into canon ~ Grogu choosing papa Din Djarin over the ways of the Jedi /Master Luke Skywalker. Before this video, the only legends Jedi Master I'm aware of, who formally left the Order & chose the Mandalorian way of life, is Etain Tur-Mukan. She married clone commando RC1136 Darman who was also adopted by Kal Skirata. They even had a force-sensitive son, Venku. It's just so unfortunate how their story "ends" when Order 66 was executed💔😢😭😭 BUT I do agree that when looking at the differences between the Jedi & Mandalorian cultures, I think it's best when they work together for the common good. BUT when they take their doctrines to the opposite, extreme ends of the moral spectrum, that's when they collide & go to war. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in The Mandalorian season 3.

A Jedi becoming a Mando doesn't surprise me at all. To me, it's kind of like when we adopt each other's families as our own. Where me and my battle buddies from the Army are concerned, blood can't make us any closer. We've deployed together, fought side-by-side together, suffered losses together, and triumphed together. We've forged bonds that blood ties can't even match. I tell people frequently, "Blood makes you related, but loyalty makes you family." I think that's the situation here as well.

You got force wielding mandolorians that seek a teacher, he trains them in what he knows as a Jedi, but maintains the teachings of mandalore. Light saber is optional, but the force is in their move set and can be trained many ways. Concept: he has 3 students: light, dark and balanced. The way they show their tactics is in how they hunt. One is honorable, one is brutal, the other is wise.

I agree. 1:42 , 2:08 and 6:03 to 6:12 Everyone must follow their own path and beliefs. Also, I know it’s what they were created to be, but the clones were treated as disposable. They were still people, but it’s unfortunate that so few Jedi saw them as such. If the Jedi ways were like the Mandalorians, this would’ve been far from the case.
Not to mention, as this video mentions, 2:18 by accepting the clones as their army and fighting the Clone Wars, the Jedi order was slowly getting corrupted and more Sith like.
The Grey Jedi have the best knowledge and use of the Force in my opinion, as they use both light and dark side abilities and most seem to understand that there is no good without evil or the other way around. Only together can they make balance.

You should mention sources of some of the more obscure pieces of lore (like this one) so we can check it out. I know I can probly just google it, but would still be nice. Cool character, good video.

And people say that a mandalorian jedi is "cringe" in writing circles with examples like these floating around. The concept itself is quite okay, and depending on how well written it is, it can be quite an amazing tale if one was willing to dedicate themselves to it.

It is known what happened to him. He and encountered Jaina Skywalker and Boba Fett on Mandalore in legends and helped Boba get in contact with the son of a clone trooper and jedi to get the cure for Boba Fett's degrading health. There Jaina felt the force in an extremely old mandalorian and his young protector. The story of the clone commandos and clan skirata is one of the best

It's no surprise that the Mandalorians would accept a Jedi into their ranks. The Mandalorians for thousands of years have been willing to accept anybody who will live by their code. It's simply very rare that a Jedi would choose to do so.
