I have to ask this, Why would they delete knowledge of this creature from the Jedi Archives? wouldnt it be better to know there was such a dangerous threat lurking out there somewhere? This looks like a silly decision to make.
I really dislike the high republic stuff, but I do kinda like the concept of this critter. Maybe not how it's been handled, but a naturally evolved force hunting predator is neat, plus the cosmic horror vibe.
Awesome vid stupendous always love these horror lore stories and especially one’s like this were the Jedi have a real reason to be afraid of creatures that can literally suck the living force from the user is just so fascinating
a sense that the only way to thoroughly wipe out the "nameless" A dark and light side union may be needed. It use fear as a tactic, darksiders would be less likely to succumb to this. While as the jedi may have the calm to prevent them from running into a trap by those that have unleashed it. Perhaps Dathomirians could be of assistance in that matter. or another "Darth Marr" like warrior
Yet again another lore clip from the man himself! I Seriously thought this topic was going to be about the Starweird, but I guess I was wrong - Also nice to wake up on a Saturday and see Mr. Stupendous uploading 2 videos in within 2 hours.
The nameless sound terrifying but they aren’t as dangerous as nihilus. Nihilus could drain entire planets of the force and he became more powerful over time. He was a wound in the force and if he wasn’t stopped he would have drained the force from the entire galaxy and left it lifeless then he would have died as his own hunger for force energy destroyed him
Disney threw the entire EU away, and then they realized they were incapable of coming up with characters on their own and started grabbing EU characters for their TV shows. But even with a bunch of Star Wars lore they could use, they still managed to screw it up.
These are interestingly similar to the Sisters of Silence in 40k in their effect on force-sensitives. But at least those don't eat psykers It'd be interesting if there were people that nullify all force connections around them, kinda like the Ysalamiri lizards
When I feel intense fear, it’s hard for me to produce poetry and art. Similar to the concept of a Jedi losing his or her ability to use the force when they feel intense fear.
If Star Wars were given a proper horror movie or trilogy, these things would help create a believable crisis for the Jedi and Sith to unite around and go after them. Set it 1,000 years into the future. That way we know no one or whether they survive.
Jedi don't really have anything to do with Justice per se. They just serve the will of the force, that may mean implement justice, but that's rarely the case.
You know considering fear makes Jedi lose power the Sith on the other hand get stronger making me think its best to use both if possible or at least lean towards the Sith that way you pretty much always have your power.
The force is a double edge sword it can be your ally or your Enemy the force is not bound by the light since it created the light and darkness so therefore The force is a double edge sword
Okay so let me break this down while trying not to do a massive essay in the comments. The nameless aren't scary, they're wannabe cosmic horrors. In fact they are clearly based on The Hounds of Tindalos to be specific. The problem is that they way overdid the element where they choose to make you suffer. They put their motivations, confusingly, in entirely understandable terms. Hunger. This is what hardly anyone gets about cosmic horror. Beings in the Lovecraft mythos that are that scary conceptually aren't scary because they want to hurt you. They have no malice towards you at all. They don't even notice you. You are a speck in a vast, godless, uncaring universe and no one can save you if things go awry. Nothing will notice, in fact. The madness experienced by Lovecraft protagonists is brought on by realization of the truthful cosmic insignificance of everything they have or could ever comprehend and the implications thereof, not a big scary monster. I would be more scared of a starving bear or hyena instead of these things in encountered.
What bothers me when things are called "The Nameless" or such, the moment you give the creature or what ever a name, it no longer is nameless and if the creature or what ever is called "The Nameless" it is its name then there for making its name null...
this kind of action of deleting something from the archive that could be so dangerous to the jedi, makes no sense, are we literally talking about ignoring history so we can repeat it kind of thing? i will never under stand any real world ignoring history cause its "bad" kind of mind set
i wonder, is this a creature that evolved simularly to the beast that hunts the isalamari, is it one of those beasts that was realy twisted by some sith lord at some point, is it a monster that was entierly made out of sith alchemy or some type of manifistation of the dark side or is it a monster simularly to some of the other horrors of the galaxy. Both the jedi and the sith knew about the isalamaris and also the creatures hunting them afther all but they tryed their best to keep the knowledge from the rest of the galaxy because of the danger it possesed to.
I love these scary things would love to see them in Jedi 3 Sarweirds as well any of these dark creatures would make the rancor in Jedi Survivor look like a harmless puppy anything that can suck away your life force or scream like a banshee is super terrifying better yet it doesn’t even have to be in a Jedi game I just want a Star Wars horror game 😂

How Embarrassing!
If they're not in episodes IV, V, or VI, then they don't exist. 😉
Sith, Nameless, Yuzzhan Vong, Abeloth. There are so many dangerous beings in Star Wars.
I will definitely be incorporating this monster into my custom Star Wars table top game. Thank you for sharing this!
Have fun!

I'm giving a like just for the phrase "The monsters under the Jedi's bed..." Most excellent!
The Nameless are fascinating, but I wish the Drengir had been explored more.
Imagine if the Yuuzhan Vong got their hands on one of these.
Vornskirs.
And they're not connected to the force so these wouldn't even be going after the Yuuzhan Vong.
I want to see how they modify these.
That will give me nightmares.
This is H.P.Lovecraft levels of horror.
I love how creative the old EU writers were
Buddy the nameless is from the high republic not the EU. I've been looking and only found info about it in canon not legends

This is terrifying. Seriously. Nameless is really terrifying. We wont forget them-thanks to you😊May the Force be with you too
Man, I have been watching you for years. I have learnt so much through you, about star wars. thank you and continue.
I appreciate that
Who would win? 1 Darth Nihilus vs a planet full of Nameless vs another planet full of Ysillimari.
Two devour the Force, one cancels out the Force
Interesting 🤔
Darth Nihilus would likely starve on Myrkr…. or be hunted by Vornskrs.
Nihilius cannot consume à palmer instantly, it takes a long time and a lot of effort
Ah yes the Saiyans, *BARDOCK WAS A BRILLIANT SCIENTIST!*
My clanker
So pretty much the star wars version of cthlulu
Hmmm. Feel like Star Wars Cthulu would be something even the sith would shi# bricks at ass well, and no mention of any dark side users here
Indeed.

Listened to High Republic books on Audible. The description of these creatures and what they did to Jedi was horrific
We need an entire star wars movie-arc based on these creatures
I have to ask this, Why would they delete knowledge of this creature from the Jedi Archives? wouldnt it be better to know there was such a dangerous threat lurking out there somewhere? This looks like a silly decision to make.

Sith have enough cunning to recognize and avoid a trap. Anakin on Mustafar was new to being a sith and shouldn't be used as a standard.

Good video. Thanks for sharing
And yet we got The Acolyte... what a disgrace. I call this a branch off with at least 12ep 3 seasons.

“They first appeared in the times of the High Republic”
K, thanks for the heads up. Tuning out.
Need more of this from the sith aspect. Did they try to utilize or destroy them? Seems like a pretty good pt.2 idea
Also Mr.Wave you would be a awesome narrator.
A Star Wars horror show/movie would be SICK!
The nameless ones remind me of the bone vampires from Futurama
These are interestingly similar to the Sisters of Silence in 40k in their effect on force-sensitives. But at least those don't eat psykers

Sounds like something akin to a soul eater
Here's an idea disney:
Instead of palpatine somehow returning, why not the nameless?
''Excellent...''
🦖
Impossible. Perhaps the archives are incomplete
See this one video has made more sense than reading the high republic books bouncing around in the timeline.
These need to be the big bads of the next trilogy.
Seems to be a situation where battle oriented droids would be paramount
Now that is scary.
If Star Wars were given a proper horror movie or trilogy, these things would help create a believable crisis for the Jedi and Sith to unite around and go after them. Set it 1,000 years into the future. That way we know no one or whether they survive.

the force is too boogie and over-rated, i trust the Shwartz any day given the option. may the Shwartz be with you.
This would make such an awesome horror/thriller film.
Sounds like sending force sensitives after force eating creatures might have been a mistake.
The nameless attacking obi wan would be a cool way to extra his aging
I haven't caught up with Phase III of the High Republic yet, but one scene from a comic makes me believe this is all Yoda's fault....
These guys are the xenomorphs of Star Wars.
What if these "nameless" were in the lowest levels of croissant? It would explain why is no one is allow or wants to go below level 5.
You know considering fear makes Jedi lose power the Sith on the other hand get stronger making me think its best to use both if possible or at least lean towards the Sith that way you pretty much always have your power.

I’m loving this Halloween series the screaming droid gave me nightmares tell us more on Anakin

so its like the alien movie but they only hunt force user, i would love to see a movie or mini searers about it.
Why would the Jedi fear these creatures
The rebels should have used the nameless against darth sidious
