Oh yes! In hot days warm or hot drinks will actually regulate your body temperature and cool you down. Cold drinks will turn the sensors on and you will start to sweat and be hot even more. It's pure science :-)
YES! Soup in the summer can be so nice! As long as it doesn't need to be bubbling away all day, and it celebrates such nice summery ingredients! (OK I might be biased because I live in Canada and it's never gets too hot where I live).

Oh my gosh. You couldnt have done this at a more perfect time. I have craving corn chowder in the cold weather. (When it gets here). My mom use to make this all the time and I love it but I dont have her recipe. She took it to heaven with her. NOW I can make some this winter. Yayyy!! We are New Englanders also. Hi Laura, what is a good replacement for milk in chowders? I love them but i am lactose intolerant and not sure the chowder would taste as great with soy...
try coconut milk

@@karayala1 you're welcome! i use coconut milk a lot in soups and curries, it's thick and rich so it should blend really well with the corn. just keep in mind it can split and make your chowder oily if the heat of your pot is too high. gentle simmer is key 😁
