Mooi nummer . Trevor Horn mooie stem en super producer! Als ik het zo zie nu na al die jaren besef ik nu pas dat dit ABC is met Trevor en zonder Martin
It's a shame it's lip-synced. It sure would have been cool to actually hear ABC do the track live! I was fortunate to see Trevor and Geoff on Yes's Drama tour, and then to see Trevor play on an Art of Noise reunion tour. His redo of the Yes's Fly From Here, with his vocals, is fantastic. Any Buggles fans should definitely grab Fly From Here Return Trip!
This was the last performance the Buggles ever did, it's a shame it was lip-synced. Horn stated in an interview after the performance that it was the end of the Buggles project.
Is this Trevor Horne? Wow, I never knew that. Well never too old to learn. Great song by the way. I always thought that Jon Anderson sang this song. A big compliment to Trevor I think.
That's so incredible That Trevor Horn got ABC to be his backing band here during the Lexicon of Love period: Martin Fry and Mark White on the keyboards, David Palmer on drums and saxophonist Stephen Singleton on bass. Makes me wonder if they actuality performed on this song on the album or just for this lip synced performance? Too cool and completely unexpected.
I think they were participating just for the fun of it 😄 Obviously Trevor was the producer for their 'Lexicon Of Love' album, but the guys were not involved with The Buggles' album 🙂
Trevor talks about this on one of the many RUclips interviews with him. Lenny was only a small hit in the Netherlands. So they asked him to come do it in toppop. Would he bring a band? Damn.. I don't have a band. So he asked abc (which he was recording at that time) whether they'd be up for coming over and perform with him. Which they loved doing! Trevor was really impressed by how they really looked and acted like a real band (they had a band manifesto for abc as well) whereas he thought he just looked like a producer that got dragged on stage with bad clothes.
They weren't his backup band for the album. By the time of the Buggles second album, Adventures in Modern Recording, he was pretty much a solo act (Geoff Downes left for Asia after the Yes - Drama Tour ended.
He is Stephen Singleton. Who was the saxophonist in ABC. He said in interview that it's his intention to imitated Mick Karn playing style. Well he's looks very funny. If this one was a movie he should get the best male actor award lol.
Don't forget TH also produced The Art of Noise, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Seal, Propaganda and many other '80's bands on his Zoom Tang Tum ZTT label.....
Trevor Horn is highly underrated. His vocals are just beautiful
Trevor Horn has a lovely voice
"You're so old that it might take a crane just to lift up your face!". Love it!!
Love this song, I think he sounds like Jon Anderson on this
Met afstand het mooiste nummer van Buggles.
Zeker en vast. Heb deze single al 39 jaar in de collectie. Groetjes Dirk.
Great song
we can pratically considered this video like the official video thanks great song
I need more cowbell
I never understood who Lenny was, but I do know they're comin at him HARD
Lenny=Leonardo Da Vinci

Wow, never knew there was a video for this - I loved that second Buggles record.
I'd learnt about its existence only last week! I like it a lot better than 'The Age Of Plastic'! 🙂
What a classic...
The ending is especially beautiful.
Thank you very much. This is the Mitic Trevor Horn + ABC as THE BUGGLES perform in one Dutch TV very hard to find.
Kind regards fromSpain.
Klopt volledig.

To make it more complex. He was producer of some Yes albums as well.
I always thought it was Jon Anderson as well. But maybe he even was.
Haven't you seen him on the video for Video Killed The Radio Star? He looked pretty similar to this on there.
fantastic - never seen this before - thanks for uploading :)
That was me about a week ago, too! It also was the first time I *heard* this song! 😀
Great song!
Hardly remembered this hit...like it....
Archives revisited great
Eindelijk de clip van dit geweldige nummer ga zo door!!
Schitterende 80's band.

Grappig ik heb de single ( vinyl) nog .....
Grappig, ik ook. Goed bijhouden. Nostalgie.
Ik ook zo mooi 🥰
Love the repetitive synths! ❤
ABC were just about to release The Look Of Love at this time.
What a we hidden gem on here Trevor Horn One is not the best hot record producer ever Way aheadd of his time in the 80s let alone now
So if I understood it very well, This is one the worlds best producers and bass players doing lip sync for Jon Anderson, the singer of Yes.
: O
Sounds a bit like Jon Andersons voice (yes)
Great track ... but look at the bass player
Bit of a Mick Karn wannabe unless it is him?

Buggies split up Trevor horn did more producing thanks to dollar and was a member of yes in the eighties for awhile.
