    I live in Las Vegas... I know talk to people in Las Vegas every day that are excited about the A's moving here. The city is full of people that lived other places and never really felt at home or had great success so they tried their luck on Las Vegas.. and found success. The A's fit this story perfectly and I see more A's gear every time I go in public. Do not buy the story that Las Vegas wants another team... we have lived the same story as the A's and look forward to giving them their first home of their own on the Las Vegas strip!!

    Angel stadium is solid it just needs a few upgrades especially with the seats and boxes. They could also upgrade left field a little bit. I go to that one of the most along with Dodger stadium and know it very well. I’ve been to all the current stadiums except New Yankee Stadium( went to Old Yankee Stadium). Chase Field in AZ needs more upgrades also think Milwaukee

    There's news on the San Antonio Missions new minor league ballpark. They're planning on building it downtown, 4,500 seats at an estimated cost of $200 million (which I think was about what the Alamodome cost way back in the early 1990's). Construction of the ballpark will be funded by publicly issued bonds. They expect it to be ready for the start of the 2028 season.

    The White Sox are a top 5 attendance team when they're good, and even now, their attendance is rock solid given the product on the field. And this ignores their radio and TV presence, which is enormous. Plus, he doesn't mention that the White Sox owner, as horrible as he is, is about to do a massive private investment in the area around the United Center. They shouldn't be going anywhere.

    For me I can see the white Sox moving to Montreal and becoming the new Expos. And then the Angels, I could see them moving to Vancouver, BC and getting their own market and city and getting away from LA and possibly rebranding as well. Then the A’s either go to Vegas, Sacramento or Portland(although if they did Portland, definitely need a rebrand because I don’t think think Portland would want the team to be the Athletics)
    And then Nashville and Utah and Carolina should get expansion teams or so.

    Here’s what’s gonna happen with the Las VegA’s (which is what they should be called) whatever visiting team comes to play the VegA’s, will be a home game for them. Whoever happens to be in town from when the Dodgers come, Cubs, NY, Texas etc… will take a day to go see them play. They won’t have any “true home games.” If locals don’t support Vegas A’s, it’s gonna be disastrous folks.

    • @akanishta99
      @akanishta99 3 месяца назад

      He's correct about Kansas trying to get both the Royals and Chiefs to move to Kansas. Gov. Kelly approved funding a month ago to build both stadiums on the Kansas side, and the referendum to fund the stadiums by Jackson County, MO taxpayers was voted down, and we know both teams don't want to pay for things out of their own pocket so they are definitely looking at this as a viable option. It won't be for a while though since they both have lease agreements for the current location through 2030. But you better believe if one of them moves so will the other since they are splitting costs at the current location and neither team wants to be on the hook for the other's half. Building stadiums in the West Bottoms is a bit of a hard sell though considering it's a flood plain.

If the lawsuit wins the 350 million Fisher bribed Nevada legislate for goes out the window and he will have to find investors or use his own money and that’s not likely to happen in Las Vegas ..There is very little excitement for the A’s coming to Las Vegas and the entire project has failure written all over it . Too close to Houston and Rangers AAA team in Round Rock for MLB and NFL isn't going there because Cowboys and Texans would not and have too much pull among owners in the NFL and lastly it's too close to San Antonio for NBA and NHL if it's going to Texas with second team is gonna go to Houston which is largest market in country without an NHL team. Houston when next consensus comes out in 2030 will have passed Chicago in population for 3rd largest city in country and the media market now is already at about 10 million.

    Honestly Portland should get a team before SLC. More people, bigger Population and right next to Seattle for a close Rivalry. Portland is a no brainer for a team. Considering how far Seattle is from any other team. Seattle is in no man’s and it would be beneficial for the players and the league to try and cut down travel time for teams. So with that in mind Rob Manfred would be an idiot to not place a team in Portland. And the spot where they are planning to place the stadium is close to the max line so they could extend the line to reach the stadium. If the MLB was smart they would put a team in Portland.

      Agreed on the proximity. I thought the NBA was well positioned for that short time when Vancouver, Seattle and Portland were all in there together. Sonics were hijacked and they didn't give Vancouver a real chance, but that region is still largely untapped. MLS is the one who's planted its flag and there seems to be a nice rivalry between its teams going back to the old NASL days.
