@@joec9680Pulling the motor as I type this to confirm it. We pulled the valve covers off and everything appeared ok. BUT.. if 2 lobes spun the same amount, 1 click, they will appear ok and still have an issue. Stock motor is getting dropped in to see how it runs. If it still has a misfire, I'm really confused. But I'm thinking that'll solidify that it is in fact engine related and at that point, it basically has to be the cams/VCT system. We'll see!

Ahh, Tampa bridge racing...I briefly ruled Courtney Campbell and Howard Frankland back in 1986 and 87 in my 70 Cougar with a 363 inch Windsor engine. I'd wind that stupid thing to 9 grand. 60 overbore, stock stroke. Of course, that was when we thought a 13 second car was quick and 12s were damned fast, lol
Mid to late 80s, would stay out all night fishing the gandy catwalk that use to run next to/under the bridge. Cars would go bye 10’ from us
Defiantly loved the episode, also could have listened to 2 more hours. Loved there was a little more tech in it.

@@dannotwalruslarkin9324 I agree cooper is doing great. I’m just saying that out of Cleetus’s 3.3M subscribers only a tenth at best have watched the podcasts he was in. 250K and 300k. I watch cleets videos and I don’t remember him ever mentioning that he did a podcast with cooper. IMO I think a lot of his subs have no idea about this podcast and would like to hear what he has to say.

Your misfire is coming from the DI at high cylinder pressure check it on the Dyno you will see the window of misfire from the injector only will happen when port is on and it's making full cylinder pressure
I'm personally not a fan of the Dark Horse, we'll see if it grows on me. I'd rather have a GT350 over it but time will tell which platform is better. Great show Cooper! You should throw a coyote in chip 😊

on the coyote, with press-lobe cams, theyve spun, .. ok youv thought of that now! they can spin really subtle, you aint seeing it by eye, i deal with it on a lot of engines here in the uk (not coyotes but same tech)
Just now listened to this. Did he figure out what was causing the misfire?
Maybe cylinder pressure is so high it won’t spark. Tighten the plug gag? Put egt on each cylinder to see what ones are going out.
