You're not kidding about Kizer this year. I've only got one so far, the mini critical, and it's super smooth with very well done micarta. But I just got my jcape 3.5 (wow), and got in the drop yesterday for a synapse xl. Wanted a satin blade but holy cow, they were selling so fast, I was just lucky to get a black wash blade with natural micarta.
A great list of knives. If I may I'd like to suggest one more knife at the top end, any iteration of the Benchmade Osborne. I am hoping that Benchmade (or other quality manufacturer) will come out with that blade shape with a flipper for my arthritic hands.
I love the Arion, the Centauri and the Esprit! I really want an Esprit. I need to save some cash. You got the working mans hands! Nobody can say you don’t work hard.
It’s cool that civivi is making good Damascus so people can try it for a reasonable and affordable price! Might have to try that pintail or maybe a elementum with Damascus and Carbon Fiber
I gotta say the Pintail and Appalachian Drifter II are probably better buys in S35VN, although the wood scaled Pintail looks so good I might end up with it anyway
I've actually shown a lot of mod work in my reviews of knives I've modded, if I mod a knife in my review I show it, like the Giant mouse ace grand, and many others, and many others if you'd having an issue let me know and I will try to get you a video. But that is a great video idea
While I could add 10 more, I cannot argue with this list - they all hit the mark one way or another. I especially love the Spydercos (yes I'm a fan boy 🤩 ). Anyone starting out in knives really must look at this list to help decide what knife to buy first or second up. All these knives will give a good experience and help you avoiding buying junk. Another great vid!
I have the ts 129 only thing I notice with this in my pivot it loosens as I flip it what do iij do put loctite on is ther a specific kind what do you suggest
Really like a lot of these--that Two Sun sheesh...couple though I would be wary of...the Feldspar (great on paper, lock tends to slip) and the CJRB (same as feldspar...I've had this happen personally with CJRB--their liner locks sit too close to the edge of the tang--if there's a way to fix this, I would love to hear it because otherwise it's a great knife). I want to give you a few other choices....priced low to high. 1. Rat 2 in D2, 2. Kershaw Random Leek--new Leek model, Sandvik steel, frame lock, 3" 3 oz. 3. Cold Steel Mini Recon 1 Aus10A From here on up, we are going over $100. 4. Benchmade Mini Bugout, preferably in CF elite or better, 5. Spyderco Para3 choose your config--I prefer Para3 to Para3 lightweight. 6. Benchmade Osborne 945 7. this one can go for anywhere between $100-250. 7. Spyderco Native 5. Grail knives in this range for me, the 945 in S90V or the Native 5 in fluted CF and S90V. All of these knives are 3" or less (Native 5 sometimes strays over, check config). I think the heaviest is the Cold Steel Mini Recon 1, at around 3.5 oz--perfectly reasonable for an EDC.
I just dealt with not 1 but 2 cuts on the top of my flipper thumb right below my nail. Horrible last week and a half had to do a lot of reverse flicking and flipper tabs Finally healing up though lol great vid bud
They are very different the dukes is Definitely snappier, but the pintail is smoother and is drop shutty with amazing thumb stud deployment, if it was only on flipper deployment then Dukes but the pintail is still amazing
Two sun is so polarizing among the knife community. I decided to just buy one and find out for myself but it won’t be here until the end of Oct. I really hope I like it because I seen a TS107 that really wowed me and I’d try really hard to track one of those down.
@@NeevesKnives Dude, you should try and find a 107. I haven’t been able to but I don’t have your reach. I think you’d really like it, it looks amazing in videos.
Iv done some maintenance videos, but i use kpl heavy and regular, and i just add it when i clean the knife, or every couple of months, depending on how much ive used it, if you watch Nick Shabaaz hes done 100 maintenance videos
Just got a Feldspar from BHQ. Terrible lockbar engagement, which would fail. Couldn't have been more than 3~4 thou. Returned it. Nice grn Micarta beautiful otherwise. Got a Riffle, nice.

😆, knives are a tool for working while those you mentioned are great i prefer a one hand deployment and close knife for my working needs, however their are so many great options so gotta carry what works for you
@@NeevesKnives " The Neeves ( needs ) of the many outweigh the Neeves of the few " ( apologies to Lt.Cmdr. Spock ) . IMO Flipper knives deploy too slowly - compared to an OTF, so I don't own a flipper knife but I have got a solid black anodized stainless steel OTF with a 3.5" black blade which deploys very fast with a mighty bang, however I don't use it for cutting open packages from Ebay & Amazon or slicing up cartons, for that I have a proper working mans knife - a SAK. I have yet to buy a one handed opening SAK but if I do it will probably be the 111mm Sentinel with red dual-density scales. blue loctite or equivalent, you don't want a red equivalent because that requires heat to break
Get medium hold blue lock tight

Caught that index finger front flip on the ts129… can’t reproduce it?
Kizer is having a monster year. New Feists, Mini Critical, October, De L'Orme, large Sheepdog in CPM-4V. Damn.
For sure! It's crazy but awesome though
Mini grip sheepsfoot reminds me of the kizer horn. different lock though
Do you have any Twosun online resellers you would recommend who will ship them internationally?
Just white mountain knives and ebay, or Allie express
