Have you ever checked out Coast’s knives? I got an FX411 for Christmas back in 2017. It’s got a 4” blade, and it’s 9” overall. Steel frame lock with wood overlays to provide a palm swell. All of the dimensions of the blade strike a perfect balance between slicing or piercing and strength for harder use. No fidget factor in the thumb studs, but if I hold it in just the right place I can wrist flick it open effortlessly. The FX411 has been discontinued, but the FX412 is almost identical. Only difference in the 412 has no coating, and it comes with serrations.
