This roofrack is OEM Toyota and actually the mounts are reinforced though the roof. The trucks with this OEM rack have a higher roof weight rating than the ones with aftermarket racks ! This is very cool and can't be re-done aftermarket. You should at least keep the rack mounts and maybe just bolt another rack on them, they are a lot more sturdy than a gutter mount.
Along with the engines, another difference 70 and 75 series Land Cruisers have is that they're leaf-sprung at the front whilst the 78 and 79 series' are coiled at the front. The VDJ which is the V8 mentioned is only available in the 79 in terms of the 70 series but is available in the 200. We also got the petrol variant here in Australia but they're a dime a dozen! Great buy!
Get on the "troopcarriers of Australia" forum. There's probably a few people on there that could sell you an AC unit from a wrecked troopy. That's how I got mine for my '92 - also ex government use, so no AC. 500$ (AUD).
I'm a crazy about this land cruiser I own 7 land cruiser 5 are diesel and 2 gasoline my first one is hj45 hj60 bj40 and bandirante bj70 100 and 80 but I just didn't have time to play with them
Lmao John... “Welcome back, You want some of this!!!” Y’all should have him open every episode like that going forward! Haha!
In Australia the Troopy's only come in a manual diesel, and they are very popular.

Where can I get a Land Cruiser in the States?
Any dealers throughout the country that import these bare bones right side driven vehicles?
I don’t know any myself but I’m sure if you Google you’ll find a lot of them. I’m starting g to see many Japanese imports around the street
@@OverlandNomad
So far I've done researched, but I haven't found anything clear.
Any locations you recommend for Japanese imports?
Looks like the Isuzu I used to own

The mask 😷 lol
Toyota sells these cars all over the world apart from the USA, I wonder why? Maybe because they're too good or the USA isn't a free country.
He’s not talking about my 2nd gen 4runner I sold? Mine was really clean lol insta is @t4redyota
