jamie greenwood yea very true mate, there have been many awesome reliable engines throughout the landcruiser range, I myself have owned a 1hz 75 series which I eventually had turbo’d, a 1hdt 80 series that was immaculate, and now on to a 1hdfte 79 series. And have loved them all haha
@@b_gonzz i have 3f petrol in sixty series in landcruiser 500,000 running.strong.... also have avery clean 75 series 1hz garrert turbo both very reliable....ive seen issues with 1hdfte to computers getting wet on watercrossings haha
@@jamiegreenwood7996 I had a 1HZ before this, great simple reliable engine but man any hill I came to was painful. The standard Fte is no power house but I don't think I could ever go back...
Dan Cotter Nice mate, Toyota should of made them that way from factory. My mate has about 200hp in his and it moves along nicely without being a crank destroyer 😬
Great truck, i am running the same rig. I'm curious about your fuel consumption with the 285's and whether to change up? currently i have 265's and getting 11.5/100kms.
Deepblue Chris Hey mate, I’ve calculated over a few weeks and it was about 12.8/100km on average city driving. Lowest was 12.5 to highest at 13.8... But I have recently done the injectors which may have improved things..
mattzuydam I sold the lights mate, didn’t like them, but JTX and Stedi are good brands... Which chrome, the grill? That’s the way it comes from factory mate.
mattzuydam Ya Stedi do replacement lights.. You should be able pick up a chrome grill etc from EBay pretty cheap if you wanted one. Would be an easy swap.
This bruiser looks amazing, and with that 1hd-fte its just gold ❤❤
The best looking Land Cruiser ever

But thanks mate, appreciate it 🤙🏻

Need to make a updated one 🤙🏻

Russell Wyborn Thanks mate, somebody else also mentioned them on a different vid, I’ll check them out 🤙🏻
@@TroopyLife I think you be impressed not only with the locally made wheel bag but all the other camping, traveling goodies as well.
Russell Wyborn Thanks for the tip mate.
That's Great Brother
Gturbo are getting 400hp out of these.....turbo, intercooler, chip, tune and +70 injectors. Amazing.
Dan Cotter You’re not wrong, I’d be doing skids for days 😂
I’d be happy with 200hp though.
@@TroopyLife me too..got a 1hdfte converted 105 series...probaly 120Kw at the wheels.

@@TroopyLife only td42 destroy cranks, luckily they struggle to get 200hp haha

Thanks for sharing . . . . . Look forward to seeing other videos.
Thanks mate, appreciate it.
Bloody cool truck
Thanks mate, quite a few things have changed now, probably could do an update.

@@Andrew-hu1bx For sure mate!
Sweet setup bro !
Thanks mate, it's a work in progress.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Really nice setup mate👌🏼, what offset are your wheels?

@@TroopyLife How's the 1HD fuel consumption compared to the 1HZ?
Brodie James Mate honestly probably about the same. I never checked the 1hz properly but I use to get 5-600k’s per tank and it’s around the same now..
You really have nice care mate! Jealous as F@#$k!
Thanks mate 😊
Where did you get the chrome trims from and the Lights you spoke about the halo eyes?
mattzuydam I sold the lights mate, didn’t like them, but JTX and Stedi are good brands...
Which chrome, the grill?
That’s the way it comes from factory mate.
@@TroopyLife oh spewin my HDJ79 came with all blacked out grill and Indicator surrounds black,
thanks for the reply. Do stedi do a replacement unit?

Do you have Instagram? Nice rig!
Thanks mate, yes I do it's instagram.com/troopylife_/
Gas bolts in ram zone illegal ?
Never had an issue mate, can’t see it been any different than lpg systems in the rear of the car...
