On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8. Игры

Iran & Israel work together against IRAQ: ruclips.net/video/L9CrV1HSHLc/видео.html&ab_channel=MiniDocs
Thank you guys for watching and as stated in the video if you're interested to see some more Iranian phantoms and Israeli aircraft work together to knock out the Osirak reactor in Iraq the link is above. Thank you and stay safe.
Hey GS, I just wanna say I appreciate how much effort you put in and how good the content is, thank you for everything and for a change I want to tell YOU to have a good day and stay safe
Cheers my friend
IRIAF definitely one of the most slept on air forces in history. Ridiculously effective, especially considering they were up against a power that could draw from all the major powers for replacement ordinance and spare parts while Iran had to make every missile and cannon round count.
I work for Geek Squad and one of my clients Flew the F-4 in Vietnam and he also helped in the development in the B2 bomber. Super nice and intelligent man.
My dad designed the pitot tubes for the B2!
@@blakeh1234 Now I have abduct you.
That's good.
@@adityaBorPhukon2170 no you cant abduct him
@@hertzwave8001 yea man that's like illegal
I remember training the pilots and ground crews during this time. I found that they were very professional and articulate.
I'm currently 75 years old and spent 15 years in the AF working on the F4 C,D, and E models from 70 to 85. Loved the F4 and started teaching ground maintenance on them in about 1979. We did a lot of declassify work and such on the aircraft prior to handing them over. Taught their pilots and ground crews what they needed to know to keep the birds flying in good shape. It's been so long ago I can't remember the base I was on at that time, was moved around a lot in 15 years, but think it was at Homestead AFB. in Florida.
Very cool, small world.
Hell Yeah! MSgt ret, '73-'95 ( 335th "Chiefs" Seymour Johnson AFB NC '84-'88)
If you don't mind answering, did all F4 models use SMD components on their boards? Or was it only the later models?
The C and D models were all tube, the E and above were solid-state mostly.
@@philipgard6762 Huh, I thought all of them would have been solid state, NASA began using transistors and IC's almost as early as they appeared. Thanks for answering!
Super excited to see more F-4 content. That adolescence of the combat jet with sidewinders, sparrows and flying bricks is a fascinating era of aviation that never really gets covered. And best of all, we have real numbers on all of the materiel! No "best guess" models.
i am from IRAN and i loveee you bro happy to see videos like this one:D
هندونه نده زیر بغلش !! آخر کار آمریکاییه ...
Those Iranian pilots were brave and well trained, just like in this simulation.
Yes
Worked on F-4 Avionics in the Corps. Love the plane.
Me too. Who where you with? I was a PP mech with VMFA 112
@@jesuschrist-alphaomega I was with VMFP-3 El Toro
I'm 43 years old, been to many concerts and air shows, also served as an artilleryman in the US Army, and the Phantom is still the absolute LOUDEST thing I've ever heard. 😂
Tornado and F-111s are louder, but not by much.
I attended air shows back in the day at which the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels were flying Phantoms. The noise was half the thrill. When I next saw the Angels flying the follow-on aircraft (the Skyhawk II), i remember being disappointed by the noise, or rather the lack thereof. (Just saw the Thunderbirds over Tacoma two weekends ago. Gotta love the F-16, but, ironically, they also lack the Phantom's thunder.)
This is like heaven for an Iranian -American like me: American planes flying for the fatherland. Prayers up for a free Iran and the return of friendly relations between the two countries once again 🤲
You can suck without hindrance now that you are in US.
The Israeli Air Force also has used the F-4 with very positive results. The F-4 was simply a fantastic aircraft for its time period.
The Israeli Air Phorce, also used the EPH-4 with very positive results. The EPH-4 was simply a Phantastic aircraft for its time period
@@crusader5989 😂👌
It's fantastic period.
Turkish Airforce is still using F4/2020s because of the isreali popeye missile.
It actually sucked and the nesher did everything.
Your content is so addicting!! I was up till 2:30 last night watching your videos!! It was always just one more, one more, one more!! Thanks for making life more exciting!! Have a great day
Many thanks, I appreciate your support. Much love.
@@GrowlingSidewinder of course!! Anything for my favorite content creator!!
Thank you for covering all the Iranian Air Forece F-14 and F-4 sorties on your channel. No one else does that. Much appreciated.
What a beautiful piece of art man the phantom is just absolutely beautiful.
the F-15E eagle has been coming out in 2 weeks for nearly 8 months now but I ope we can get the F-4 soon! Excellent content as always GS!
You should upload to the MiniDocs channel more often, i'love that
I would love to I’m having trouble managing my time and juggling 2 channels but I will figure out how to do it.
@GrowlingSidewinder you do you, a video a day is very, very good for any youtuber
This F4 mod is crazy beautiful. Whoever did it should be proud of the work!
i would love to see a hyper modernized F4! that thing is still a work horse ! love that plane.
TUAF F4-2020 terminator's are hugely modernized variants...
there is a reason there decomissioned
The Israeli Kurnass 2000 was pretty modern for its time. Has the APG 76 radar and could fire Python 3, Paveways, flir Pod, agile eagle, overall modern variant of the F4E.
The Hellenic (Greek) Air Force has the F-4E AUP where in 1998-2002 they basically took some thirty-nine phantoms, pulled out the radar and computer systems, and replaced them with a legacy hornet's. It gained a HUD, MFD's, IFF, MCC; and it can fire AIM-120B AMRAAM's, AIM-9M sidewinders, Maverick AGM's, HARM's, Paveway and JDAM -series smart bombs, and a variety of other weapons. It's basically an F-18D in an F-4E airframe.
Sadly they've been phasing them out since 2017, but last time I checked earlier this year they still had about twenty left.
The big issue with updating the Phantom though is the designers back in 1960 figured it'd only be relevant for about a decade or two before the Soviets introduced something better, so they didn't really have plans to keep it flying for the next sixty years. Trying to get 60's manufacturing to work with modern stuff is like trying to run DCS's most recent update on Windows 95. You basically have to go and gut the entire airframe and put all new stuff in; which is basically what the Hellenic, Turkish, and German air forces did in the early 2000's as a stopgap solution while they waited to obtain more modern planes like Vipers and Typhoons. If you're a smaller air force with limited funding this option makes sense, but if you're a bigger air force with the R&D available it's just more convenient to build a plane from the ground up that's more in line with what you're looking to use it for.
I loved the F4 my dad was in the Airforce and here in Austin Texas we used to have the Bergstrom AFB and I used to watch them fly over the house I grew up in
My dad was a Navy fighter pilot. He had 3 tours in Vietnam. 2 tours were in the F-4 & the last tour was late in the war as CAG with the first squadron of F-14's...he loved the F-14
Lovey love love the F-4 Phantom. My dad was a back-seater during Viet Nam and it has been my favorite plane ever since I was a kid. More F-4 content please!!!😊
The F-4 Phantom II is such a fantastic looking aircraft, in my opinion.
Thanks for posting another excellent slice of infotainment.
My Dad was a Crew Chief on an RF-4C Phantom...Tail # 68-0567...17th Tactical Recon Squadron.
Passed on the F-15E but will be buying the F-4 and Corsair when they are available. I was a Crew Chief on the last active duty F-4G’s at Nellis AFB. I worked F-16’s and A-10’s after she was retired but the F-4 will always be special to me.
My dad was an Aggressor pilot at Nellis during yf-16 yf-17 flight ttrialsat about that time. Thanks for keeping the birds in the air. 👍
Always had a soft spot for the Phantom. I love how the engines are recessed and the tail comes out and over them. Looks so cool! But Jesus they're a flying pig haha. Another great video man!
I'm looking forward to when you can do a Phantom vs Crusader video. Nice content here, thank you!
Fantastic work. The F-4 is a beauty of an aircraft, and it's nice to see you fly it again.
This is unrelated to this video but I always found it weird how you were able to make the F-16 work so well but then I went to a dogfight server and it absolutely sucked, never seemed to outrate anything even though I held consistent 400-430, and everyone told me that the F-16 sucks.
In some recent videos I was able to notice certain things you did differently and applied them yesterday. The result was a series of such prolonged and intense fights against an F/A-18 that it broke my joystick and now I can't capitalize on my newfound insight until the spare part arrives. Still, prior to that I would never have been able to touch that Hornet but now I killed him a few times. Feels good.
Ya people love to blame the aircraft and don’t really see themselves as the problem lol. That being said the DCS hornet is over preforming in the 2 circle fight. So also keep that in mind. When fighting the hornet IF u can stay locked in at 430 knots you might beat him based only on pilot skill. Hopefully ED can address/fix the hornet 2 circle performance at some point.
The visual IFF is the reason that encounter up to this period of time are so thrilling. Everyone can sling Fox 1 and 2s, but you never know who it is until you see the silhouette of the other dude
Nice content as always. Absolutely awesome music for the outtro... it´s hammering on my stereo now
Your content is gold, man!
Phabulous Phantoms Phorever. I worked with a guy who flew Phantoms in Holland, he loves that airplane.
Always enjoy these campaign style videos. Keep 'em coming!
F-4 and the A-10 have been my favorites since I was kid. Loved seeing the Phantom get some attention today. Thank you!
Love your content, Your Iranian viewer.
This new format is amazing: thanks for re-flying real combat missions!
Love to see the F-4 videos. Keep 'em coming. And the F-8 Crusader when it comes out.
I love the Phantoms, it feels like the muscle car of a fighter jet and it looks so intimidating.
The F-4 was a jet that was made to be an all weather intercepter, and became a fighter, a bomber, a spy plane, acrobatics demonstrator, and can SEAD. A jack of all trades if I ever saw one. The opening years of the Vietnam War showed how important Top Gun and Red Flag were to train F-4 crews on how to play to its strengths, and exploit its enemy's weaknesses. Not to mention it had the only supersonic gun kill ever recorded, and flew as a Blue Angel, and a Thunderbird. Plus its just mean looking. To say that I am excited for the Heatblur F-4 would be an understatement lol. Until then the F-4 mod, although basic, is very well done.
I really enjoy the little history lesson we sometimes get at the beginning.
This series of engagements was fun to watch! Love the Phantom!
F-4 looks sick. Beautiful looking fighter and the inside is rustic as f#@k. Love it, great video man. Keep em coming.
Nice job man, i would like to see your video about (Operation Sultan 10) there was a dogfight between 2 Tomcats and 4 Mig_23 actually 189 miles inside Iraq when those F_14 shot those Migs down one by one!!!
Really liked the opening man. That was great! The kill chuckles always bring a smile to the face. I know the feeling!!😂😂
sick vid as always bro, been here since pre-100k, my daily watch with supper. goated.
I have always liked the F-4 Phantom. I would be happy to see more videos with the F-4.
Love your videos keep up the good work
Yay! I’ve been waiting for GS to fly the F-4! One of my all time favorite fighter jets!
Really looking forward for the oficcial F-4. Especially for your video on it😉
Really like your content GS, perfect complement to my daily whiskey and cigar. If I had only one complaint, typically it takes 40-45 min to complete the cigar. 😄
I want the F4 to come out so badly
The naval one will be a very good fighter I bet. Especially if it’s an F-4S or F-4J with the AWG-10.
Great Video, I love the F4
And the f4 loves you
Also good work identification on them planes Good job with the Phantom
Woah this was intense. Almost all WVR fighting with positive ID needed before shooting for all these guys, no datalink showing where friend or foe locations, SAM and AAA on the ground lighting up. Good show.
I'm looking forward to being able to bust out a Lead Sled in DCS. I've liked these big old birds for a long time, just something about them has always appealed to me, and man did they ever do work.
i thought it's also gonna be a introduction to HB f4 ... thanks for the video gs
Nice flying my dude. He'll be talking about that one in the chow hall.
I love the F-4 content. Thanks!
I'm REALLY looking forward to the RAZBAM Strike Eagle. Seeing videos about it makes me remember playing Microprose's old Strike Eagle III back in the Stone Age.
Not looking forward to Razscam anything until guinea pigs like you have figured out whether it's actually good or not.
4:55 that poor iraqi mig being chased by an f14, and f5 and then an f4 watching from afar.
More Phantom vids! Love em!
You're reaction time on that last fox 2 was insane lol
Back when McDonnell-Douglas was on top of the world releasing banger after banger. Phantom. Hornet. Eagle. Extender. Harpoon. Tomahawk. The 70s were a good time to own their stock.
THE F4 IS THE COOLEST PLANE EVER! ((: it's looks have no rival.
Awesome video as always.
Finally you pilot the king. I wish more phantom videos. Especially the 2 morons edition in a phantom.
I am so excited for more phantom content!
I’m so excited for the phantom, every time you fly the mod I pray that you got some early build of haeatblur’s
finally nice a documentary !
Phantom is one of my favorite planes ever, super excited for the heatblur module
Awesome video!
I hope to see more footage on your other channel (@Mini_Docs) as well! I really love the historical documentaries!
Love the F4 vid's I feel the phantom is always the joke and underdog. Ya did good here!! Keep up the great videos! Love them!
By the time my break comes around. He posts a video 20 mins before. And my breaks are 20 mins long and his vids are just under that. Small things like this make my day
Loved this! More F4 please!
I have not bought a module since the JF-17 Thunder but I will definitely order the F-4 as soon as it is available
An Iranian fantom ace in just one fight....way to go...
Growling you are a hot stick. Back in the day you would have spurs on your flight boots. Love everything you do lately!
I’m not seeing any updates from the minidocs channel is that still a thing. I’ll be honest I don’t go looking for that channel but I do watch the videos from there when they show up on my feed. I am subscribed to it. Keep up the good work.
(Edit) as soon as I posted this comment you mention minidocs in this video. Lesson learned I’ll hold my questions to the end of the presentation. 😂
I worked on F4s in the Marine corps in the 80s. They where beasts. We had some awesome pilots. VMFA 112. I love your laugh after a kill.
Very good flight characteristics of the F4!!!!👍🏻
Definitely an awesome looking aircraft for sure!
Speaking of Iran, their post-war comeback continues to shock me!! After the Iran-Iraq war, it seems that Iran understood the necessity of industrial and technological capabilities and now domestically produces just about everything. They are even building submarines for the Iranian navy!! What really surprised me recently, was learning that Iran was making a native stealth fighter!!! As of this year, however, they appear to have given up on the idea of putting a pilot in it and are switching the stealth fighter program into a stealth drone program instead. I'd be VERY interested to see an Iranian Stealth Drone.
"Iran was making a native stealth fighter"
lol
I was a crew chief on the E and D models. Damn good bird.
While I do enjoy your 1v1 fights quite a bit, these scenario based events are really good and a nice change of pace. I think you should do more.
Nice one!
I'm really looking forward to the Phantom. I recommend you fly the F-4 vs bandit unknown.
That's very nice content, I don't know if you have ever seen the documentary movie about Iranian F4 phantom pilots talking about their battles?
i like these missions. Nice.
My favourite airplane. Can't wait to see in DCS the official version
Funny that the IAF ended up having the two most beautiful fighter aircraft ever made.
F-4 Phantom. A very American concept that even a brick with wings can fly if it has big engines. Love it!
A tiny dot wayyyy in the distance.
"That's an Iraqi Mig 21."
i loved this need more f4 phantom
With those kills, you are now considered an ACE! Congratulations GS! lol
"What's this.....?" 😂 Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
H3 is the best air mission on all of the war air missions guys ! just read about it ! Mind blowing
CANT WAIT TO DO SOME H3 Mission with F4 when it released !
The Phantom has such an iconic silhouette. America's proof to the world that if you put a big enough engine on a brick it can fly.
Ah man, when do we get to see the F-4 up against the Tomcat? I’ve been dying to see that fight!
That’s the stuff I love. Old school.
