The Detroit Pistons are one of the teams in professional sports. They are a group that either glorifies the awful aspects of a deep rebuild or is a testament to awful mismanagement of a once-proud franchise. With fourteen straight playoff losses and boasting a twenty-eight game losing streak this season, the Pistons are worthy of a deeper dive in this magical season of theirs.
This video came to be thanks to a massive wall I hit creatively and a desire to shake things up from what I feel are suboptimal videos. I only hope I didn't do poorly here as well. You'd be surprised at this lol.

He was at the grocery store when he remembered he left the tickets inside his windshield for anyone to see. Once he remembered, he ran out to his car, but it was too late. His windshield was smashed and now all that was left was broken glass... and four Detroit Pistons tickets.

    Nov 3rd, 2008:
The Pistons make arguably the worst decision in team history by trading away Chauncey Billups for a past expired A.I after losing in ECF 3 years in a row
Trading your team leader for a washed up, arrogant, ballhog who had lost perspective on his value who didn't fit team culture at all.
Meanwhile Billups helped Carmelo go as far as he ever did in playoffs as the headliner.
Team never recovered from that trade and all the failures stem from that decision.

We didn't trade for AI, we traded for AI's expiring contract. It allowed us a ton of money for free agency the next year. What we did with that money was the real mistake. I'm amazed to this day how many people do NOT understand that trade. And Billups was done as a Piston. He was absolutely sleep walking out there for us. The trade woke him up, but if he stayed it would still been a slow circle of the drain.

I seen alot of other stars play too like young bron, kobe, prime dwight howard, steve nash, etc. and thats what kickstarted my love for sports. The minute I realized that the game that would have been the record-breaking loss was against Toronto, I knew the streak was over. It was *exactly* the type of game that's become cliche for Toronto's sport teams to lose: a game where losing would be one of, if not *the* most humiliating loss of the year.
I'm not a superstitious man, but I'd *swear* that city is cursed.

Okay, I've got one for you: before the Pistons you see today, the 2011 Charlotte Bobcats proudly claimed the worst winning percentage in NBA history. That team was coached by Paul Silas...kinda. He let his son Stephen Silas coach a few games, and it actually worked out pretty well. Now the Pistons are threatening that record. Their assistant coach? Stephen Silas.
