The problem is that for some reason AA and AT don't give soft attack while normal artillery doesn't give hard attack and rocket artillery gives too low soft attack. As a result players feel very little need to diversify production lines.
@@TheArklyte AA gives piercing, which, aside from multiplayer, makes your divisions more than capable of dealing with whatever the AI is gonna throw at you
@@bruhbruh-us6gl I'll explain what I mean. Let's start with AA since you mentioned it. The game starts with sets of HMGs, then goes to 20-30mm autocannons then to 37-57mm autocannons and finally tops AAA with heavy AA guns like 8,8cm Flak 43 or 90mm M2 or 3,7 inch. Producing upper levels doesn't mean that you stopped producing autocannons and heavy machineguns, just that you've saturated on those and build higher caliber guns on top. Penetration value of top AA comes from said heavy guns. But said guns were also used against soft targets too and their HE shells weren't any less effective then same caliber HE shells of normal artillery of same caliber. The difference comes in targeting as those AA guns lacked ability to fire without line of sight effectively. Autocannons also weren't good for long ranges, but they shred all soft targets. So while AA guns wouldn't have soft attack value of top line artillery represented by 150-155mm howitzers, their soft attack shouldn't be much lower then previous tier of divisional artillery as they provide same HE value, but have problem with coordinating fires on NLOS targets. Next is AT, most AT guns during the war starting with 75mm caliber were fully dual purpose. As the war progressed, that capability was only being extended. Divisional AT just like divisional AA peaks at roughly the same calibers and their soft attack would follow the same arguments. Now, "normal" artillery. Many artillery pieces had also seen expanded dual purpose capabilities. First they received increased charges and AP/APHE shells, then there were HEAT for howitzers and APCR for higher velocity guns and it culminated in early HESH. Unlike AT guns, these guns never had gotten to being issued APDS. But HEAT/HESH of 150-155mm gun or APHE from 105-122mm would stop majority of the tanks of the period in their tracks. Yeah, they'd have lower RoF then smaller caliber AT guns, they'd be more noticable as unlike AT guns they're not made to be very short in height. But their hard attack and penetration should be quite noticable. And then we have rocket artillery, a "branch" that during WWII was providing no hard attack, no penetration and wasn't used against planes apart from view weird prototype exceptions that didn't work anyway. Why was it used en masse? Because their soft attack was immensely more impactful then that of normal "line" guns. Despite lower sustained RoF, despite lower range, despite low accuracy, they were used en masse. Just due to the amount of damage it was doing to soft target in wide area of effect. But ingame compared to normal artillery it's far less noticable as superior choice to maximise this capability. The game doesn't even allow M4 Sherman Calliope to retain it's main 75mm gun btw.

One thing about Japanese aviation during WW2 that they forgot to consider was that this. Even if your plane has a range of 1000-2000 kilometers, *does your pilot have that range in him sortie after sortie?* In Rabaul the Japanese would send out their fighters ridiculously far out to support their attack aircraft. They sent them out so far the Yankees thought they were fighting some wizard carrier group they couldn’t find even a speck of in those seas 😂 Contrary to this the American planes had quite a modest range compared to the Japanese planes. But this was more sustainable. The pilots didn’t have to fly almost 3 hours to and from the battlefield. The Americans would not have the range. But with excellent support, good logistics, and most importantly numbers, they outdid the Japanese. The Japanese couldn’t replace what they lost. The Americans could The Japanese pilots were trained much harder and had much experience both in south east Asia and in China. Yet if you take so long to train one man and if you can replace what you lose you’ll soon be left with a outdated and novice group. Yet the island hoppings were anything but easy

In singlepalyer the escalate war thing is true. in Multiplayer however you cna completely criple the usa by never escalating, and never taking jinan, or rather the province of jinan city, then the panja incident also never happens. MAking the usa looked on at most erlay mob, completely fucking them over.

Very special. Very secret. Very sexy
One thing about Japanese aviation during WW2 that they forgot to consider was that this.
Even if your plane has a range of 1000-2000 kilometers, *does your pilot have that range in him sortie after sortie?*
In Rabaul the Japanese would send out their fighters ridiculously far out to support their attack aircraft. They sent them out so far the Yankees thought they were fighting some wizard carrier group they couldn’t find even a speck of in those seas 😂
Contrary to this the American planes had quite a modest range compared to the Japanese planes.
But this was more sustainable. The pilots didn’t have to fly almost 3 hours to and from the battlefield. The Americans would not have the range. But with excellent support, good logistics, and most importantly numbers, they outdid the Japanese.
The Japanese couldn’t replace what they lost. The Americans could
The Japanese pilots were trained much harder and had much experience both in south east Asia and in China. Yet if you take so long to train one man and if you can replace what you lose you’ll soon be left with a outdated and novice group.
Yet the island hoppings were anything but easy
I actually tried to make the most op cas and got 200 cas damage 😅
Now thats a nice japan!
The sun never sets on the Japanese empire
