Hey Road King looking good brings back memories of the 70s in the old body shop I kinda miss those sounds and the smell of lacquer thinner in the morning great job on that old truck it will be better than new when you get finished with it
Nice job, nice to see you do it RIGHT, most guys would have just screwed it down and stuck the floor mat in and that would have been it. A lessen for these young guys, from us older EXPERIENCED men.
Wow, that Makita right-angle drill sounds like it spins super fast! Plus, we always need the magic hammer to make everything right. Looking forward to your Jacktown videos!
Yeah Buddy!! I took some video of the day before the show as an intro but during the show I was so busy I didn't get any so I just deleted everything!! 357magdad had some good video of the show including some of Roadking and Mike ruclips.net/video/pxgPMVjX6og/видео.html !!☺
You’re sure doing it up right, RK! Those self tapping screws are a handy trick. I usually use Cleco fasteners, but your way is faster, especially for this type of work.👍
Lookin good Road King ! When you were dong body work for a living did you have wire welders? If not, how would you attach panels? Gas braze them? Just curious.
Thanks Steve!! That was back in the 70's and 80's, we brazed them on or used a spot welder!! Migs were around but they were so expensive back then nobody owned them!!☺
You do GREAT work and your many years of experience are showing. Have you ever used temporary Cleco fasteners which are used in sheet metal work on aircraft?
You’re really keeping your nose to the grindstone on that truck! When you were commenting about “clamp it here and clamp it there”, which Clampett were you talking about, Jed, Jethro, or my favorite Ellie Mae? That truck will be awesome when you get done with it!
Nice job 👍
Thanks Joe!! It was good seeing you again Bud!!☺

It makes me feel better to see you have some trouble driving those self tapping screws, I thought I was the only one. Great job, just amazing.
Thanks alot Grant!! It's funny I was doing pretty well till I hit that won that kicked my ass!!☺
@@805ROADKING It's the trying to get'em going, I sometimes have that problem with drywall screws, going into a hard material using a worn bit.
Very satisfying to see those pieces finally coming into place. Great work, and thanks again for posting!
Thanks alot Tim!!☺
Man, that floor was fighting you! I bet you're glad it's almost done!
Yeah Buddy!! ☺
looking good! on area's that fit good that can't be clamped I use a hi powered magnet to hold them in place for welding.
The real channels keep the trouble in the edit. The real channels is where I thrive :)
The ole Ford is coming along nicely, Roadking!
Thanks Olly!! Most bloopers stay because I'm just too lazy to edit them!!☺

Thanks alot Buddy!!☺
From this video I now understand that the magic of the magic hammer is not from the hammer, but from the hand of the operator.
Thank You Red, we appreciate your kind words!!☺
You’re sure doing it up right, RK! Those self tapping screws are a handy trick. I usually use Cleco fasteners, but your way is faster, especially for this type of work.👍
Thanks Tony!! Yeah the screws are nice when you're doing some crude work like that!!☺

Getting closer! Steel appears to be quite a bit more forgiving than aluminum. Welding instead of rivets too!

What name brand is your lathe and about how much are they.thanks great vids
That's an Atlas!! It's capable of turning something 6" wide by 18" long!! You can usually get them used from $500-$1200 depending on the condition!!☺

Thanks alot PF!! We need to get it done, it's been hanging around too long!!☺
No one ever realizes all the tedious work .
They only notice when you forget to install the door latch! 😂
