    Got a '69 C-10 visor on my desk - learning from you!
    I will drill new holes for the' metal spine to backing plate' clamping.
    What you need to do is dependent on the condition of your visors.

    You know RK, for all the years I worked on cars and such, I never messed with the visors. And, I know I probably never will this late in life

    Now I know how to redo sun visors. The whole interior looks fantastic.... I love the color combo you used too. My goal is to eventually reupholster a car interior making it all from scratch like you did. I learned a lot from watching you upholster your truck. I bet the past owner wouldn't even recognize it, as you have done a fantastic job restoring it. I have reupholstered a couple chairs with my walking foot machine, but bought it to do car interiors. My plan is to reupholster the Bel Air's interior back to factory original.... basically thats the seats and door panels.... the rest of the interior looks as original as it can.

      Thanks Howard!! You'll really enjoy doing an interior with the Juki!! My lil' machine has plenty of power and is slow as can be now but another 1/8" clearance under the foot would be gold!!☻

    • @OldCarAlley
      @OldCarAlley 2 года назад

      @@805ROADKING Yea, I love that Juki. I got the servo motor option as there more controllable than the clutched motor. I can turn the a knob under the machine to regulate the power to the motor, and can do one stitch at a time also. If I turn that knob past 5, it gets away from me, running way too fast. I find 3 is a nice setting now. Maybe when I get more use to it, I'll speed it up a bit. A friend uses the machine for leather.... he turns the knob to 8, sewing at an amazing speed. He marks a line where he wants the stitching, sometimes stitching four layers of leather through it... he always folds his seams over, they look amazing. His stitches look amazing because he just runs the line exactly through needle. I watched him stitch leather to plastic too.

    I have so much to say during the vid but when i get to the end i forget what it was. Problem is if i comment durring the vid there ends up being 10 comments left by me. Lol. That being said next time you will get a few comments. Lol. One thing was i was going to quote yo7 again saying "Its only a daily driver" lol. Now every things custom. Lol. I know how it is.. you start to love her so much.. you are doing it for ☆enter name here☆... (the truck). Great job. Thanks to you i have alot of ideas for my truck...(still havnt named her). Btw i thing the stitching would have been better if you would have gone freehand with intuition rather than a guide. Not that im bauking at it. Its sweet. Like my harley seat i did a few years back.. stitchings all cattywompus but it is what it is. Looks good from 6 ft and not some cookie cutter joe job done by 4yr old slaves in tibet. Sorry for the book. Lol. Have a blessed easter. 🍺🌄🇺🇸🤝

      Thanks RHEID!! It's funny you mention the stitching, As soon as I finished I showed the Ol' Lady and told her the next one I'm gonna do it freehand!! It should come out better now that I can slow it down to a stitch at a time!!☻

    Hey roadking, this is off topic but im planning to rebuild a briggs model B coil and i was wondering what you guys used for tape on the wax paper between the secondary layers

    • @805ROADKING
      @805ROADKING  2 года назад

      Between the primary and secondary we use a thin fiberglass tape!! But once we start putting the layers of wax paper we just use a small piece of Scotch tape in the middle to hold the wax paper down so you can wrap the wire around it!!

      @@805ROADKING Thanks bud! take care

    • @PhoenixT1953
      @PhoenixT1953 2 года назад

      Actually now youve brought up another question, what is the purpose of the tape being fiberglass between the pri and sec, is it possible to substitute it with another type of tape?

    • @805ROADKING
      @805ROADKING  2 года назад

      I think the tape between the p & s is just for insulation!! You could use black friction tape, I think that's what was there originally!! Regular Electrical tape would probably work fine if that's all you have!!
