AS you know I'm interested in this series so thanks for posting a new video. I always learn something here. I'll be back to see how the head liner works out.
That's a good old motorcraft carburetor absolutely one of the simplest carburetors to work on not a whole lot to go wrong one thing you have to look for is if it's a really old two barrel motorcraft there is a screen underneath the seat where the needle goes that can get clogged up that you have to keep cleaned out my opinion one of the best two-barrel carburetors
I fought with hesitation on a Holley 4bbl vacuum sec for years. Finally stumbled on the answer. The check ball or valve under the squirter was leaking. That fuel has to squirt out the very second the throttle moves. Then you can stomp on it w/o the hesitation. You probably already knew that but just in case..... Have a great weekend RK :)
Love the old Ford videos. It is going to be nicer than when it rolled off the line in Deerborn. The carb is a Ford/Motorcraft carburtor. Rebuilt many of them back in the day
I have heard so many people swear by Sea Foam! I have to pick up a bottle for my Honda 2200 Genny. When we were kids I had to use Motor Medic in my Cougar every so often because the carb would gunk up after a few thousand miles... I remember we would warm up the car, put half a can in until it stalled and let it sit then add the rest and run it... The smoke would come out like a CROP DUSTER! We would laugh so hard driving past the park and smoking out the entire park! LMAO! Great stuff! Are you taking the truck to Jacktown?
You have that headliner figured out and it will look great with the fabric on it. That Seafoam is good stuff . Hopefully you don't need to use the other carb. Nice work and enjoy your weekend Buddy 😁👍
You must run premium on all carburetors because regular makes them stink and buck, I even put a new carb on but didn’t help much. SU2000 Shell is my favorite but racing fuel is best 😃 I love the truck, my friend had 3 of the same kind (different colors) and 390’s in all of them 👍🏻 thanks for the videos
I think Holley made the original Autolight carb. It is one of the few that are able to set float level with the engine running. The Holley carb would be an upgrade but the Autolights were pretty good if the butterfly shaft holes are not worn out.
Hey Roadking, about that carburettor, I noticed that there is a capped off port with a red cap on the top of the carb. (13.01) Could that be the float bowl vent? Pull the cap off it and see if it runs better.
Great job RK, I wouldn't know where to begin making a headliner. Love the color of your truck !
Thanks DL!!☻

Thanks Cole!! Maybe we'll try to rebuild it instead of replace it!!☻
Getting more ideas for the interior of my 35 Ford. Thanks.
That's cool!!☻
Great job on the headliner, it's going to look awesome once you get it installed.

Yeah Buddy!! Those Y Blocks have a cool unique sound to them!!☻
Headliner is looking great, as is the whole truck!
Thanks alot Chris!!☻

Thanks Jerry!! Nah I'm not familiar with the Holleys!! Mike said the same thing as you, probably the accelerator pump!!☻
Looking good EJ! The final touches really make it pop.
Thanks alot George!!☻
...lookin' good, real nice work, keep safe...
Love the old Ford videos. It is going to be nicer than when it rolled off the line in Deerborn.

You wacky guys from Queens!! I doubt we'll get it to JT this year!!☻
@@805ROADKING Must be the water here, =P

Thanks Lloyd!! You enjoy your weekend also!!☻
Going to look great Rk👍🏻
Thanks Bruce!!☻
Nice to hear it run sounds good hopefully not a carb swap on it. Look forward to seeing the headliner in
Thanks TW!! We might rebuild the whole thing instead of swapping it!!☻
@@805ROADKING your welcome
Looking good 👍
Thanks alot Joe!!☻
Hi Roady, I enjoyed the video today. Good work all around. I'm not much of a trimmer, but I'd have a go at tuning up the old Y block. Take care, Mart.
Thanks Mate!!☻
Truck looking good. I hated doing headliners.
Thanks Stu!! Yeah they suck, especially if ya try doing them alone!!☻

Thanks Dave!!☻
Good to see you again hope you're doing good I think some used a chrome piece that held the headliner up on them and they screwed in
Thanks Jerry!! Yeah I checked into the chrome molding, it's pretty pricey if you can find them!!☻
I like it R.K.!
Thanks Buddy!!☻
That headliner is going to be nice. I think thats a Ford Motor Craft Carb on that engine. Thats what it looks like to me. I would just rebuild it.
Thanks alot Bob!! Yeah I think I am gonna rebuild it!!☻
Pretty sure that carb's Motorcraft RK...Had one on a Windsor years ago...
Thanks Mate!! I think we're gonna rebuild it instead of swapping it!!☻

Yeah I wouldn't doubt it, they look an awful lot alike!!☻
Liner is looking great RK. Have to ask, could the accelerator pump be a bit weak? The pipes sure are throaty. Gonna be a beast bud.
Thanks Carl!! Yeah Mike mentioned the acc pump!! We might rebuild the whole thing instead of swapping it!!☻
That is a motorcraft , great carb easy to rebuild , a blind man coud do it
Thanks Bud!! Maybe we'll try to rebuild it instead of replace it!!☻
At this rate, those exhaust tips will need to be all shinied up and chrome-plated too... :P
Yeah Buddy!! You ain't lying!!☺
Hey Roadking, about that carburettor, I noticed that there is a capped off port with a red cap on the top of the carb. (13.01)
Could that be the float bowl vent? Pull the cap off it and see if it runs better.
Thanks BMC!! I didn't think of that, we'll give it a try!!☻
Every thing is going up in price and getting hard to find some stuff in the grocery stores with the shortage of truck drivers
Yeah Buddy!! It's getting crazy out there!!☻
That's a ford autolite carburetor. Sometimes the power valve goes bad.
Thanks Duarte!!☻
As I commented before, you are doing an incredible job with his truck. I'd like to know where did you get the perforated headliner material?
Thanks Jim!! We got that from Albright's Supply, It's VW headliner!!☻
@@805ROADKING thank you sir
Nice job, coming along really superb! Enjoyed watching. Thanks.
Thanks alot Mac!!☻
If that's a farm truck I must have a jalopy for a daily driver looking good road King
Thanks Chuck!!☻
Glad to see some more progress RK! Am I going to see you and Mike in July?
Thanks Dan'l!! God willing we'll be there, weather permitting!!☻
It looks like a Ford Autolite carburetor.
Thanks Mike!! Yeah that seems to be the consensus!!☻
Sounds like maybe the accelerator pump in the carb is not working.
Yeah that's the first thing Mike said!! We might try and rebuild it instead of swapping it!!☻
352 ? I was expecting a 289 ? Getting excited cause I am 🙂
292 Y Block!!☻
👍👍
Thanks Mel!!☻
