The hardest thing for me was losing my father to cancer in September 2015. After my dad died I watched the entire Harry Potter series front to back. Severus Snape was not only my favorite character from the books but my father's favorite character in the movies. And when I had heard that Alan Rickman died from cancer in 2016, I remember telling my mother that the airport of heaven just got a lot cooler for dad. Then not only does he get David Bowie but he also gets Alan Rickman. And I cried. I still do.
