Great views so far on Skye, you don't need sun IMHO to enjoy yourselves as you clearly did. Love how Roxy paddled across to the ruins but looked a little more tricky for you and Rachel with the tides. The fairy pools looked great. It's thank to the likes of yourselves, Graham and Ellie and others that we can see and take inspiration for possible trips, we have to be careful and think on where to go due to health and mobility issues so we definitely see some places we wouldn't getting see so a big 👍. Many thanks

Thanks Tim, I was a bit worried about Rachel at a couple of points as the rocks were slippy - at lower tide I think it’s easier, it’s quite steep up to the castle its self but just a short scramble all be it tricky with it being slippy due to the wet.
The fairy pools would be magnificent in the sunshine I think (it was Scotland though - similar to the Lake District takes some luck to get a bright sunny day) - Roxy enjoyed herself and loves pottering (and water of course) - doesn’t even mind the rain 😃
Pleased they are useful and as always really appreciate the comment, have a good week, all the best, David, Rachel & Roxy 👍

Definitely worth a visit - much more dramatic than it comes across in the video, only complaint was the pot holes 🕳 - all the best, David & Rachel 👍

Great area to visit David & Rachel, made me giggle to think Ellie & Graham were standing guard in Merlin near the Skye bridge. Loved the bikes hanging up at the cafe. We have our daughters special addition pink Raleigh Chopper hanging on the dinning room wall much to Mrs K's disgust, I think it's been there at least 12 years as Rachael is now 27. Cheers K.

Hi Karlos, thank you - haha think they were keeping guard over the castle as I saw it as their discovery, I said to Rachel we were going to Wizards 🧙‍♀️ castle 🏰 - the bikes hanging gave it some character I thought, that’s great you kept it and hung it on the wall. Bet that would be worth something now. Skye was great to visit, all the best, David & Rachel 👍

So lovely to see you both on beautiful Skye. ❤️. Roxy seemed to like her paddle. Bless her. You did well in the rain too. Such a gorgeous place. Thanks for the shout out. Looks like they’ve done the bridge at the Fairy Pools now. We had to scramble over the stones back in the Autumn 🤣. Falls looked great at Kilt Rock. Campsite was very nice with lovely views Roxy seemed to like it. You parked in our space in Portree 🤣. I Bought a scarf in the Batik shop. Breakfast looked good. Pleased you enjoyed your stay 👍😊🧙‍♂️

Thank you. We had a lovely time and thanks again for the recommendations from your vlogs they came In handy and I understand why you both loved it so much following the visit. I would have liked to spend more time at Kilt Rock but it was very busy - would have loved to have flown the drone too but they had a no drones until after bird nesting season sign up. The car park was very handy, we were looking after the space for when you next visit 😀thanks again.
All the best, David & Rachel 👍

The Fairy Pools were spectacular but a hot walk to get to them - worth it though!
I just Googled Skye Batiks and that looks an amazing treasure trove of sparkleyness! One for next time I reckon! 💕💕💕

Skye is up there on our list for a visit. Every video we watch were blown away by how stunning it is. Castle Moil looks absolutely enchanting. The walk to the fairy pools had incredible scenery. Loved the pools, did you not fancy a dip?? They look so inviting. Wow, I’ve not seen those falls on other videos before, amazing! The views form your campsite when the sun started to show its face were incredible. Great drone footage. What a gorgeous place. Great find with Jans and the cafe. Cheers 🍻

Skye is spectacular and dramatic! You guys would make an incredible film of it!
The fairy pools were amazing and I honestly would of loved a dip but didn’t because it took me that long to catch my breath from the treck (Rachel) I used the last of my energy to just about make it back to the van 🤣🤣 (memo to self: must get fitter)
Thank you for your lovely comments 💕

Amazing scenery David. Skye will certainly be on our "bucket list " when we have the van. Just watching your Duvet modification video. Very informative and certainly something that we will undertake. Take care. Sid and Nicola.

Hi both, lovely to see Skye again, we stayed at Staffin near Kilt Rock on our way to Harris and Lewis a few years ago, ferry to and from Uig. My it was busy at the Fairy Pools as well, we have not been lucky with the weather on our visits, we visited Dunvegan Castle and were wet through walking from the van to the reception, we gave up and walked back to the van to put on dry kit!! We planned the ferry crossing to Malaig but the weather cancelled that crossing as well. Still it’s a lovely place to visit, stunning. Keep them coming, cheers, Mike 🍷🍷👍👍

Exciting. I cant wait to drive over the Skye Bridge in my little van! It looked quite busy but beautiful sights you saw and parking in Portree looked welcoming. Campsite looked lovely too. Thanks for sharing and happy onward travels, Sue.

Thank you - definitely worth a visit and lots more to explore - we were only there for a couple of days so was a bit of a whistle stop tour, you could spend weeks there - be interested to know once you have been to Skye if you prefer Arran or Skye 😃
Have a great weekend, all the best, David & Rachel 👍❤️

you went passed my old house & place of work 😎 Jans was /is a fantastic place, bailed us out many a time, saves a 6 hour round trip to Inverness 😂 They didn’t have the cafe back then though. Glad you enjoyed your visit, in spring/summer Skye is very vibrant, full of visitors from all over the world. During late autumn/winter it’s a very different place, regardless it remains beautiful. We went in Winter in the van, great for a trip, terrible for recording (rain) but we knew that before we went. How long did you spend on Skye? Hope you managed to find some quieter spots. Em xx

Fantastic, really pleased you spotted your old house and place of work - Jans was great and we were really surprised what it has for an island - the breakfast was great too! We were only whistle stop on Skye for a couple of days. We will go back probably in the autumn of late winter (I think it will end up being next year now though) and do some exploring as we enjoyed the brief visit - all the best, David & Rachel x
