A nice conclusion to the Skye trip, looks a lovely place with great views. Roxy didn't disappoint by going for a dip 😂. Glad you both had a great time and thanks for sharing 👌

Thanks Tim, was a bit of a whistle stop tour of Skye but we all enjoyed it and great we have things to go back for - good excuse for another visit 😀
Thanks again, all the best, David & Rachel 👍

I wonder how many people standing on the out deck of the ferry suddenly realise their van roof is filthy. Love the west coast and one of the first places we will be returning to when the new van arrives. Cheers K.

It makes you wish you had cleaned the roof when you look for sure, some folks seemed not to get out of the car / van but always worth a poke about I think 😀
Great place to visit in the new van 👍
Thank you and all the best, David & Rachel 👍

Lovely campsite, it was closed on our winter trip, we free camped not too far away from there ☺️ Chippy is great & they do breakfast too 👍 Used to take the kids cycling out that way, lovely Ariel footage too 😎 thanks , Em xx

I spotted the chippy did breakfast - I asked Rachel if she wanted to stop at it for breakfast but she declined 😀 they seemed to do quite a variety of things, more than you would expect.
Thank you, all the best, David & Rachel 👍

That was lovely. Every drection you look in on Skye seems to have a stunning backdrop. It looked very busy at the old bridge. Eternal beauty, I've made a note haha. I look forward to the next video, Glenfinnan viaduct we went over in a steam train once and as a child I visited Oban (cant remember much!). Thanks for sharing, Sue.

Skye is simply stunning and dramatic! Eternal beauty seems to be working! Roxy doesn’t seem to have aged at all 🤣🤣 we were bitten to death at the viaduct and unfortunately impacted by the strike! But Oban … the site was amazing … (everything I hate big and lines - Rachel ) but it was a case of location, location, location. Loved it 💕

Aw Roxy. She makes a great dogness monster 🤣❤️ Do love Skye. Loads more people there at this time of year. Gorgeous views. Waterfall looked lovely. Nice site. Wonder if it’s open all year? Do you happen to know? Love the salad idea 👍 great you could stay in the van on the ferry. The roads are something else aren’t they?🤣. Nice to see Skye again 😊

thank you - I think the site is open from some point in March to early November so looks like it’s shut for at least 3 months of the year. We loved the fact you could stay in the van on the ferry as it saved messing on for a short trip (on the larger ferry from Arran you couldn’t stay in the van but they did do breakfast on board and Roxy was allowed with us on that one). Thanks for helping to inspire us to visit, we left plenty still to do so always a great excuse to go back 😀 The roads in places were pretty bad, there was an awful pothole on the way back from the Fairypools near to the old bridge and one I couldn’t avoid as traffic was coming the other way and someone was right up behind me. Imagine it will keep the pothole fillers busy for a good while 😀
Pleased you enjoyed, all the best, David & Rachel 👍

Hey lovely video, we stayed at the site at Sligachan when we tried to cross over to Malaig, the site at Broadford is new I think, don’t remember that but it looks good and you can walk into town, bonus. The scenery is stunning even without sun. Keep them coming, well done. Cheers, Mike. 👍👍🍺

Thanks Mike most appreciated. The scenery is amazing isn’t it - as you say even without the sun. I think the site looked fairly new at Broadford. Was the site at Sligachan good?
All the best, David and Rachel 👍

@@LeisureBit Hi David and Rachel, Sligachan was ok for the night, basic stuff. We actually stayed up at Staffin for 3 nights and used that as a base. We took the ferry over to Harris from Uig, there is a Camping and Caravan site in Uig, but they wouldn’t take single night boookings, rascals ech! Staffin was better than Sligachan not just a flat field, basic facilities and plenty midgies!! We alway carry head nets now! It’s worth it just for the views👍👍
