Good review, wished you'd posted it before i'd ordered mine, i ordered one after lock down as i couldn't get any replacement filters for the masks i have. I needed a mask for the supermarket trip once a week, this mask was the only one still available at pre lock down prices. The rubber material is too thick, i can't get a reliable seal around the nose, if you pinch the rubber over the nose it seals, then if you move about it unseals, just not reliable, also the clip unfastened after about 30 mins of use, i wouldn't trust this mask compared to the mask i've used for work in the past, jsp force 8, gvs elipse half face mask & 3m 4000 series. I've managed to get a set of the force8 press to check filters for my jsp mask since getting the trend stealth mask, a lot bulkier mask but one you can trust. Avoid the trend stealth mask, £29.95 down the drain. Good honest review.
Thanks Jon, pretty much the same as me really! Was a huge disappointment . did yours vibrate? I should of known better to go away from something ive used for years! - Happy making and stay safe sir!
@@AnchorDesigns I wanted to do a bit of an update, i've been wearing this mask on a daily basis while renovating an old house, so lots of dust from stone, brick, concrete and old plaster also from the stihl saw, it's kept my mouth, nose and airways clear, everthing i said on my first post is still true but it's worked out more cost effective using this mask at this moment in time than puchasing dispossable masks as everything ppe as sky rocketed in price, and i wasn't going to pay £50 plus for a pair of filters that are normally less than a tenner. None of the large reatailers had stock as they'd donated it to the NHS and what was available resellers were trying to sell £20 mask and sub £10 filters for massive profit on fleabay. Now that some of the large retailers have got stock, prices seem to be at pre lockdown prices, i've got stocked up with spare filters for all my work masks. Stay safe all.
@@jonnie8867 where did you find filters? I found some from a tool company in UK but I notice from photo it does not say Trend or NIOSH on the filter. Does that mean it is counterfeit? They are normal price.
I am a RN and spent hours wearing different kinds of PPE... I am going to order this anyway just so I can walk around other shoppers wearing N95s and home made cloth masks and say "AAHHH...YOU merely adopted the PPE...I was born into it...molded by it...by the time this lockdown was over I just found it BLINDING"
Decent review but as a fit tester your respirator won’t work for you because you are not clean shaven, you won’t get a decent fit or protection. The filtration is industry standard, it is an FFP3 level respirator
Hi possibly a silly question. The exhalation valve at the front is an "exhalation valve", but if you breathe in, it's normal for it to move in? ie mine moves in when I breathe in and out when I breathe out? I'm not the biggest fan of this mask but it's hard to get hold of anything and need to get fit tested as well Thanks for the review!
Probably not normal. Perform your positive and negative airseal checks to know it is working properly. Basically cover the filters with your hands and breathe in normally, no air should come in through the exhale valve or around the face seal.
I've got mine to have a mask for the subway/groceries with a smaller profile than my 3M 7000 series, but better sealing than the disposable FFP3 masks. Here it was 40€. I'm also slightly disappointed, even though I like the design in principle. I don't have the vibrations as strong as in the video, but that wouldn't bother me that much anyway as I'm using it just for the metro and groceries, not for hours and hours working with it. My disappointment is mainly in the rather cheap materials, in particular compared to the 3M masks. I like the cover design, but the material doesn't feel like it will last very long. And as mentioned in the video, the face seal rubber is much harder than on the 3M mask. I get a good airtight seal and breathing is very easy, but after wearing it for an hour it started to hurt on the bridge of my nose unlike the 3M which I could wear all day long. If the Trend Stealth was made out of better materials, it would a good alternative.
I got one of these masks that had the noise problem. I contacted the manufacturer and explained and they sent me replacement valves that were black instead of red- cured the problem.
I am wearing the Trend mask at work and is so uncomfortable, after 30-45 minutes my whole face hurts. Is terrible you feel like there is not enough oxygen, plus the vibrations are so embarrassing it seems like you’re snoring. I work as a dental nurse, but all the dental staff are wearing it or similar to it. It s a nightmare 😣
Sorry about that Cosma08, I tried mine on the other day (i keep it in the car encase i go somewhere i need to wear it ) and still have a same feeling about it.
Cosma 08, can i reccomend the gvs elipse half face mask, Toolstation have them in stock for £19.15, it's easy to breath in, no noise or vibration and comfortable to wear, i'd would also say they look a bit more stealth than the trend.
Jon Owen thanks so much We’ve had a fit test done, it depends on our face structure it has to be a fixed fit. Hope everything will be back to normal soon
I've got two of these masks and neither makes that noise at all. Maybe yours is faulty. OK, it's not as well designed as the 3M mask, but they aren't available anywhere in the UK at the moment. In fact, hardly any P3 level reusable respirators or filters are available in the UK. This one is, and the manufacturer hasn't inflated the prices.
I can only go on what I got and my using of it. in these times a mask is better than no mask. Please remember this was released at the early stages of Covid. I was nothing but honest in this video and is just my opinion. The important thing is that they are keeping you safe and you like it.
I really like the Trend Stealth mask. I bought mine before Iock down and so glad I have this British made mask. I bought my family one each and filters are available. I work for the NHS and intend to get it fit checked to wear while I am at work. If you have facial hair you won't get a good seal. Not all masks suit everybody. Look after your mask and it will look after you.
Hi T king, appreciate your feedback. Glad you like yours i have kept trying with it since i made this video but im still not keen it now lives in the car for quick shopping trips and small amounts of wear time. could you forward me the details that say its made in the UK i have found no such information. Thanks J.
I cant find where it says its British made, sorry. Perhaps I thought this due to the Trend customer services email and phone number being a British one? "Trend Customer Services on 01923 249911, or email customerservices@trendm.co.uk"

@@karenkirwan942 FYI performance line tool center website has the Trend p3 filter replacements for about $17. Max per cuatomer is 3.

Thank you for review mate! Was going to get one, will have a look to something else! 👍🏻
You're voice is very similar to Mike Preach. Thanks for the review. Been looking for a respirator to replace my kn95s.

I have one of these and have had none of these problems. Maybe yours is a Friday afternoon model!
Is the 3m mask in this video the bleu one for the long term or only one time use
I will start to use mine tomorrow ( my first day to return to work ). I hope this will be a good one for me.
Very informative.

Matthew Dixon I haven’t done that, might be worth doing that Mathew. Thanks for the information!

What’s the name of the blue mask?
He states in the video, “4000 series 3M” dust mask.
