@@elysainempire4628 you can try separating the audio from the mkv with ffmpeg and then you'll need to get demucs or spleeter and use it to get rid of the ost. here comes the hard part. you'll need some more voice isolation software such as davinci resolve studio and get a cleaned version of people speaking. now you'll want to load just the vocals from demucs and the cleaned one from resolve into a daw. flip the polarity of the audio track from resolve and you should get some whispering from the background. i cant guarantee it will sound good, but i think it's the only thing possible apart from asking the movie creators for the stems from that scene.

This is the best software I’ve ever used. It ignores region codes and copy protection on selected dvd drives. Also, the trial version leaves a watermark on the video but if you the run the resultant file through handbrake the watermark disappears. So great. I’m on a Mac using an external drive.
One thing to note is if you go on the makemkv forum the developer gives out a generic license key once a month that fully activates the software; he says "makemkv is free while in beta" 🤷♂

If you set the language to English in the preferences, it’ll automatically uncheck all the other language boxes so you don’t have to. This also speeds up the rip a bit faster.

Just be careful when ripping as some films tv series my use subtitles for Example the navi speech in Avatar. Have to rip it correctly then set it correctly in Plex.
Make sure you have a 1080 computer and it will probably only work on Windows and with labtops you need an external drive most labtops do not have blu Ray player with it.
I run it on Mac for 10 years now. Fun thing is, the program still runs on my old OS Snow Leopard up to the latest. Did you install the DASPI drivers the first time you ran it? It is for direct access to the Blu Ray drive.
hi! thanks for all the help with this video. one quick question though: I work on edits and fan-made trailers, music videos, etc., and when I load the file into Adobe Premiere, it has a million different audio tracks laid over the fim. I'm trying to do this so that i can use movie clips in my video essays. It seems like make mkv by default converts the movie into M2TS files, which dont seem to be compatible with premiere. I cant find an option to change them into mp4s. Anyone have a solution? Im kinda going nuts over here

@@DnL695 Just MakeMKV, thats all you need. MKV toolnix is only needed if you want to embed subtitles that weren't on the BR disc, but I keep them in a separate folder subtitles, so VLC finds them directly.
Why won't the True HD audio play back on KMV files you rip from a Bluray Disc on KODI Media Center or Roku Ultra ? I've ripped several Bluray Movie Discs with Make MKV and when I try to play them back on KODI Media Center I can't get True HD to play back even though KODI Media Center says the files contains the True HD Audio Kodak but my Denon Audio Receiver does not show True HD on it's display even though the Bluray Disc I ripped the video from will play back in True HD Audio.
How are both connected? Optical has not enough bandwidth for THD. So it can ony send it over HDMI. Really curious what speakers are behind your Denon. Most people don't even have the hardware to play the classic DTS stream properly. If you focus on the most important tracks, I have 2 floor standing full-range speakers for L+R and a huge full range center speaker. I don't care about surround. The DTS 1536kbit stream for backwards compatibilty is more than enough for that, and part of DTS-MA streams automatically, so I pick that for my rips. Make sure the audio is on optical pass through in that case.
Did everything you said with 3 separate Blu-Ray discs and all I get is the "No disc inserted" error. Please help! Mind you, I used a laptop with no external Blu-Ray reader...can I get this to work without one?
I can only atest to the drive I used for the project. I have heard some drives don't work with the program. That's one of the biggest issues people are having.

What's the legality of downloading said digital file if you own the phsyical disc already? The process of ripping and then converting takes anywhere from 30 - 40 mins and anywhere from 10gb - 20gb. I can download a 4-8gb file in a fraction of that time and as far as I can see from the logic in use here, it's legal as long as I own the same material physically?
While its the same result to ripping, its piracy. The Supreme Court has ruled that you can back up the data from YOUR copy. The data might be the same, however, your right to backup only extends to the contents of the media you own.

and with out using the key you can't use the program unless you pay for it or put the free from the forums that exps at the end of each month.

You should check out a project called Automatic ripping machine which automates the whole process. You just put the disc in and wait.

You would need a Blu ray capable drive. I use LG for this type of ripping.

It just makes a copy of the movie from the disc to the PC. The disc remains the same.

It is a bit-perfect rip. Only the container file is different, it is wrapped in a MKV as that can hold all original streams side by side.

The BR player is either SATA or USB. You don't want to rip the HDMI stream from a stand alone player.

If you are watching it on your PC use the program OBS to capture your screen and audio.

You are more than likely downloading the file with the spanish dub. Try downloading a different version of the film. There should be a few.
So if ill try to rip 4k content it will rip it but the outpus rip will be 1080?

You can select both. MakeMKV gives you check boxes for every audio/video/subtitle stream.
