It's not you, it actually sounds good when you're there by the track. Not scary good like the V10s of course, but it's a great sound. And with the quieter engines, you get to hear other sounds from the car, like when it bumps off the kerbs 😍 oomph oomph

An interesting thing about the 2021 Honda PU that I noticed: In the acceleration after braking at 7:50 you can hear the engine accelerating on 4 cylinders for about 2 or 3 seconds, the engine goes back to 6 cylinders at 7:53 and you can clearly hear the shift from 4 to 6 cylinders in that part, the engine starts to scream loud in 6 cylinders after presenting a "raspy" sound characteristic of the 4 cylinders accelerating for about 3 seconds. In Honda's previous engines, the cut of cylinders during deceleration already existed, but the 4-cylinder re-acceleration is a novelty. I used this part as an example but you can hear it in all the re-acceleration zones on the track.
Nice catch on noticing the nose difference. AT02's is a bit more like the newer noses (less thumb-like) similar to the new McLaren or the recently revealed Alfa C41. Also thanks for the videos!
That´s my bozzyboy!!! Always at the right place at the right time. The Honda engine now seems finally well rounded, without that slump in noise when revving up, now it sounds stronger and with good ICE par delivery. Can´t be too far from Merc now.
WOW WOW WOW!!! Honda's NEW and IMPROVED PU sounds out of this world! Literally SOUNDS ALIEN as f**k!!!!!! I think from the 5:30 mark, when the AT02 was out on track alone, that's would be the best time to fully appreciate the difference in sound compared to it's predecessor. With it supposedly running the largest pre chambers by a big amount, you can really hear the louder, sharper, and more explosive sounding pops coming out of it...I still do prefer larger displacement, higher revving engines of the past but if this truly is Honda's last masterpiece, I must tip my hat to them because what a great way for them to sound off!!!!
@@heatseaker56789 2016 was much more agressive than 2019-2020 in my opinion, it's sounds like a literal 2 stroke engine and an A-10 Warthog. but yeah, at the end of 2019, the backfire started to get agressive and in 2020 pre season test, everyone was so happy with the honda sound becoming even more agressive
